    I can't find them on any list.... If they are not, does anyone know of any mints that are gluten free? I find eating mints helps me with the indigestion..... And also, can you take Immodium and take Pepto Bismol at the same time? Thanks! Karen

    Okay, since I have been sugar/dairy/caffeine free, my symptoms have diminished, except for the diarrhea, but with the Immodium, that at least has slowed somewhat..... Today, I munched a bit on some Doritos Ranch Flavour - deliberately, it has sodium caseinate and milk ingredients in it.... Sure enough, 1/2 hour after eating some, the old burning, pain...

    I actually heard recently about coconuts.... I read an article about a child with celiac who was so malnourished they thought it would die..... it was in Hawaii I think. Anyway, one of the elders on the island suggested the child drink coconut oil, and slowly the child thrived..... Worth looking into further, I think........ Thanks, guys! Karen

    Thanks guys!!! Is CitriCal available at most drug stores? Or can you get it at a health food store....... I did pick up a calcium supplement, but I believe it is the calcium with magnesium one... the last thing I want to do is ingest ANYTHING remotely similar to a laxative!!!     Hi Cmom, Thanks... I actually am trying Immodium again and it does seem to be helping a bit - instead of 4 - 5 times in the morning, it usually is one once now, and instead of 12-15 times a day, it is only 3 - 4..... So it is helping.... I think it is also helping that I have cut out all dairy, sugar and caffeine also. Make sure you don't take...

    I would like to find something that I can take that will help "bulk" me up... The immodium is helping somewhat but I am still loose.... A long time ago, before diagnosis, I used to take psylium seed husk. Is it from a grain that is forbidden? Is it gluten free? Thanks for any help! Karen

    Phazyme (sp?) is okay, I double checked and it is gluten free. On the list I have, Gax-X Chewable Tablets are not gluten free, but the softgels are gluten free. But when I contacted the company by phone, they could not guarantee the origin of starch in the softgels either, so he would not commit to saying the softgels were gluten free. In regards to...

    Also, you and I both had a pretty good day today!! I kept on thinking to myself at work today, "Boy, my stomach is pretty tame today".... "no pain, no gas, no bloating, only went to the bathroom 2 - 3 times instead of 10 - 15 times"....     Hi Burdee, Thanks for the suggestion about the pure fruit juices.... Apple juice I can handle, I find though that orange juice is too acidic for me.... Also, I believe Welsh's grape juice is gluten-free - I maybe will try those... I tried the soy milk before months ago when the dr. suggested for the first time that I cut out dairy - YUCK!     Currently, I am drinking water and Crystal Light. Are fruit juices okay to drink on a sugar free diet? I know a lot of the juices on the market are filled with sugar. Anyone know any safe ones? Thanks! Karen

    I have obtained a complete list from Jamieson Vitamins that shows every vitamin and whether or not they care gluten free. Unfortunately, the file is not able to be transferred over to a post (my computer expert celiac3270 also tried!!!).     Okay, took a Lomotil this morning, which was prescribed by my gastro specialist - and lo and behold, instant reaction. Now I find out Lomotil contains gluten!! How can I minimize this reaction? Drink lots of water? Help! Karen

    Please re-consider your thoughts on the gluten-free diet. I have had diarrhea, gas, bloating, anemia, hypothyroidism, for years now. I was first diagnosed with celiac in my early 20's (I am now 41). After a year on the diet, with no change, the dr changed his diagnosis to Crohn's. The symptoms have never gone away.....
