  4. Fibro diagnosis several years before celiac symptoms (gastrointestinal). Muscle problems seem to be improving recently, and I am noticing that I have more energy than I've had in a long time.

  11. Same afore mentioned son has a field identification guide to poop. He once had a science club T-shirt in HS with his nickname on the back..............Guano(sp?).....means bat poop. Also used to have his my space picture as that of some sort of scat or other. He's quite the nature nerd ! .............How many ways ARE there to say poop, anyway?
  12. OMG......this reminds me of something my son gave his grandpa(my FIL) a few years ago. Wildlife, ecology, nature person that he is......he gave his 80 yr old grandpa a change purse that is in actuality.......................a kangaroo scrotum! It has a nice soft leathery feel to it. Grandpa is quite a scrapper. He always has it with him and goes up to strange...
  13. Wish I could be equally as witty! ( trying to pull myself together and find my silly again) It couldn't hurt to call the doc. She will most likely either say to give it some time or up the dosage on the Prozac. I think she would want to know how you are reacting.
  14. Welcome aboard!!! Like you, when I found this forum, I read tons of old threads. There was so much information to absorb that I now keep a binder for all my notes. I have numerous sections: Safe Foods, Unsafe Foods, Supplements, Books and Publications, Websites, Restaurants and Menus, Recipes, and also a section for related issues. My daughter has finally...
  15. Should the other meds the doc has you on be doing a better job of helping you or is that something that will take time? I went thru a lot of similar stuff with my DD when she and the dr were trying to find what meds worked for her.......tweeking dosages, changing drugs several times. Soooo frustrating!!!! I forget, are you trying to wean off completely...
  16. Susie, so sorry to hear the about David's family. I'm not good at saying the right thing at times like this, but I'm sure you will be there for him....just don't forget to take care of yourself, too. This will be a hard time for all of you.....for some time. We are all here for you. Peter, how sad about poor Thomas. I am sure he will be missed...
  17. I also am on very limited funds. It sounds like your dd will be the only one going gluten free. My husband is not gluten free, but he eats the same dinners as me. I mostly fix meats and veggies ( and fruit before I realized I couldn't tolerate them.). The only difference from pre-gluten free is I use McCormick spice blends instead of marinades and if...
  18. This put visions in my head of utilizing socket wrenches, crowbars and such! hey!!!!.........with those I might actually achieve cleavage! Awwwwwww!!!!!!
  19. Ummmmm...............exactly what were you planning to do with them? I get them before Ptaughmn, cuz I don't want damaged goods!
  20. There's no simple answers to your questions.....everyone is different. You obviously were glutened......it usually doesn't take much. And the next time it happens you may have a different and/or stronger reaction. By the way, it is my opinion that reflux is a symptom of gluten intolerance (and sometimes other food sensitivities).
  21. Yeah......I caught that.......it was a real AHAH! moment! But see, that wasn't fair......I wasn't around the first time that was posted! By the way........when's my turn with the double D's?????????
  22. Janet.............My wildlife ecologist son called this evening, so I asked him about your frog dilemma. This is what he said........ Most likely your frogs are not wandering off. They probably have been falling prey to herons, raccoons, dogs, cats, etc. It would be a good idea to plant some tall grasses along the pond to give them some protection. It...
