ARCHIVED Gluten Free Beer
Live2BWell posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I know there are a couple of types of Gluten Free Beer. I am usually not a beer drinker (I am a wine drinker) but ... occasionally I prefer beer. I haven't been able to find it anywhere though, I may not be looking in the right places. Can I buy it in a grocery store, or do I have to order it online? -
I am feeling frustrated and frazzled, and dumbfounded that Houston - which is a very large city, one of the largest in the US, seems to have very little in the way of gluten free dining (especially at an affordable price.) Surely, there has got to be more than what I've come across. I've gone to the gluten free directory lists, and see that they are 3,...

Today is 9 days Gluten Free, and I have been feeling better - for the most part. BUT, I think I am lacking in nutrients, despite trying to suppliment them. ARCHIVED First Time Glutenated After 8 Days Gluten Free
Live2BWell posted a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I went out to dinner. I had previously looked up the gluten free menu, and also called the restaurant. On my way out, I forgot the info at homeg (I wrote it down) and thought I'd surely be able to rely on my memory (I'd been over it several times.) I was getting the salmon, veggies, and mashed potatoes and it was confirmed to be free from gluten. ... -
ARCHIVED When Will I Feel Better?
Live2BWell replied to glutenfreegirl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I am experiencing and getting to understand just how delicate going Gluten Free is. It's a few steps back, a couple forward, a few more back, a couple more forward. I have only been Gluten Free for 8 days, and today isn't one of the better of those days, but ..... that's ok, it WILL get better and it WILL even out. I totally feel your frustration, I guess... -

I have been gluten free for a week. I was seriously torn with going gluten free, because I hadn't had a conclusive diagnosis that requires me to be off gluten. I was worried about feeling deprived, about feeling left out, about feeling.... uncomfortable with changing everything Yet, I am dumfounded, this is easier than I thought it would be. No, not...

Hi There! I am very new to this also, so I completely relate! I actually posted a similar thread wanting to hear other's stories. As for me, and my story. My signature says a bunch - but, basically I have been sick with various problems for quite a while now. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance, and then autoimmune issues followed. Around this... -
ARCHIVED Has Anyone Had Turbinate Surgery?
Live2BWell replied to munchkinette's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I have not had turbinate surgery, but I have serious problems with my turbinates - they are very large and obstructive (as per my ENT.) I am on Vyramist nasal spray, but I tested negative for all allergies so my ENT thinks it's environmental. He also has me on regular saline spray - which helps, and at I have a personal steam inhaler (VICKS) that helps a... -

ARCHIVED I'm Not Sure What To Eat Any More!
Live2BWell replied to Beth in NC's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I totally relate to where you are coming from, and I am only on DAY #3 Something that I have realized for me, is that pre-planning is essential, moreso than I even realized. I mean, living glutenated is easy, because everywhere you go you can find gluten filled foods. Living without gluten I am finding is much more tricky. Hang in there! -
So tomorrow will be my first Gluten-Free Shopping experience. I am going to be out and about on the side of town where whole foods is. On the side of town I live, there is no Whole Foods, but I can buy the naturally gluten-free stuff at the Kroger or HEB Any gluten-free must-haves I should know about for my shopping trip?

Live2BWell replied to Live2BWell's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Dinner went alright, actually. I stuck with the salad/veggies and used oil & vinegar as a dressing because I was not sure what else I could use, so I'll have to read up on that -
LoL, I have never heard of Carob, so is it safe to assume that it's a.o.k.?

So, I am going out to dinner tonight. Here in about twenty-five minutes or so. I picked Souper! Salad because that was the first naturally gluten free (and easiest) place I could think of plus, I actually like it, so it's appropriate Only, I'm not sure what dressings are/are not Gluten free; and as for their soups?

I had begun Weight Watchers last year, and had lost about 35 pounds. Unfortunately, being sick - mostly sedentary - and dealing with the Hashimotos Thyroid problems, I gained about 15 pounds of that weight back. I had been maintaining for a while, and a few weeks ago prior to my Colonoscopy my weight remained the same. Less than a week later, I had gained...
