  1. Thank you SO much!
  2. Just how important is it that I see a dietician? I would LIKE too, especially since the one who has been recommended will even go with you to the store! I haven't called and tried to say anything yet, to the insurance company...waiting to see if my son's test comes back positive or not. It just seems so stupid not to cover something when it is the DIET...
  3. Just joined and in Raleigh too!
  4. The thoughts of buying make up online are NOT appealing to me at all, especially after reading about so many of you getting samples and not liking this or that and getting more samples... I want to be able to see what I'm getting at least. All I need are the basics.
  5. Is the list on their site?
  6. I've just stopped making my own whole wheat bread after getting diagnosed last week. I still have a container of PURE POISON in my freezer that I added to every batch of bread...VITAL WHEAT GLUTEN!!! :o Vital to WHO? Not me anymore!!!!
  7. It gets to me too, and I've only just started this journey...I guess soon it's gonna get to my hubby too! For me, I'm going to really have to talk myself through this. I have made our own fresh home ground whole wheat bread for several years now, 6 loaves at a time. It was so good! And "healthy" too! Weird...I used to add a whole cup of extra gluten...
  8. I'm still switching things over in my kitchen as I was just diagnosed on Monday. I assume, because I haven't read elsewhere, that when something like a utensil is used in a gluten containing food that just washing it makes it ok for gluten-free use later? Is there a standard rule of thumb for this? What a bout a grill that has been used to grill marinated...
  9. I have a Bosch and have always used it for Whole Wheat bread until recently diagnosed. I was concerned about CC with it though. None of you have had that problem?
  10. I was diagnosed on Monday of this week. This is day 3 of being gluten-free, I think...unless I've missed something, which is QUITE possible! It's quite ironic that I have been diagnosed with this as I run a co-op that purchases GRAIN in bulk twice a year from Wheat Montana! I am known as "the wheat lady"! Most of us in the co-op grind our own wheat...
