Does anyone here know of a good hand sanitizer that doesn't contain any kind of alcohol? I would think that most are derived from some type of fermented grain. I was using one that has ethyl alcohol but doesn't say that it contains gluten. I was just wondering. Thanks for your replies in advance, Ted. < still trying to get better>

I am still feeling sick after six months gluten-free. I eat mc donalds all the time. I get a double hamburger with no bun. I am not longer going to eat there anymore. Just because the meat is gluten free doesnt mean that the people that work there are at all knowledgeable about gluten and CC. Do you really think that they are thinking about you when...

ARCHIVED Help How Common Is Abdominal/digestion Pain - Sometimes Severe?
GlutenGuy36 replied to Klauren's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Yes I had severe abdominal pains for 9-10 months before they would even send me to a gastro doc. Then I had all kinds of tests. Colonoscopy, endoscopy, mri and cat scans. It would be a good idea just to get it checked out to make sure nothing else is going on. Celiac can cause you sever abdominal pains. I know first hand. -
Does anyone else in here have any bone pain? It's more of an ache than a sharp pain. I had this in my left leg yesterday along with some weird sensations in my head. Before going gluten free as of July 14th 2008 I use to eat pizza about three to four times a week. That was seriously for about 18 years. I just turned 37 and I feel like I'm 70. ...

ARCHIVED Celiac Disease And Candida Connection
GlutenGuy36 posted a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
How would I know if I had Candida as well as Celiac disease? I asked my gastro doctor to test me for it and he just shook his head no and said it cannot be. I would think that someone that has a weakened intestinal situation would make them a prime candidate for testing. Especially knowing that I have Celiac Disease and I don't feel much better since being... -
ARCHIVED Question About Mcdonalds Hamburgers/salads/condition
GlutenGuy36 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Do you think it is safe for me to eat McDonalds hamburgers ( no bun of course , just pickles, ketchup, mustard and onion) and salad ( no croutons) with newmans own ranch dressing. I called McDonalds and they said there shouldn't be a problem with any of those. I was diagnosed back on July 14th, 2008 and only feel marginally better. Unfortunately, I think... -
Does anyone know if Ball Park Franks are safe to eat? I didn't see wheat in the ingredients but I did see hydrolyzed beef stock.

ARCHIVED Something New Going On
GlutenGuy36 replied to angieInCA's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Look into a possible Candida Albicans problem. It is yeast and it can go hand in hand with Celiac Disease. My tongue was doing the same thing and my GI doctor scoffed at the thought of Candida. Some times they are unwilling to diagnose it. You can cut out sugar and anything that is easily converts to sugar and see if that helps. I know its hard when... -
ARCHIVED Hypothyroidism And Gluten

I'm right there with ya. I also have hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism a few months before they diagnosed me with Celiac Disease. I'm sure you will hear alot about " your normal range" that your Tsh should be. I have heard that this is a black and white issue. Not everyones body is the same so you may need to be on the lower end of... -
Have alot of neck pain at the base of the skull? Right where your skull and spine meet? Mine has been killing me. Some days are far worse than others. I have alot of issues with Celiac Disease and even though I have been gluten-free for 4 months with maybe one or two accidental "glutenings", I am still having that pain in my neck and it feels like my...

ARCHIVED A Little Help Please....

Sbj, I never said anything about french fries. If you go back and read my original post it was the hashbrowns that I was questioning. I'm not being a smart "A" . I never said anything about fries. My concern was just that hashbrowns. I called McDonalds and talked to a rep to clarify and they said that's why it has WHEAT in big bold letters in the... -

Hey Ravenwoodglass, Thanks for the reply. I have done extensive research as im sure we all have when we are searching for answers. I'm with you though. I am not eating those things ever again. That't why they tell you not to drink beer because of the gluten that is in that. Some of the folks here may tolerate it better than me but I don't see how... -

I have had so many complete blood counts that I cannot remember how many I have had, I went to a hemotologist as well and i'm sure if something was askew he would of caught it since he specializes in blood disorders. I have never been tested for lupus. Somethings have gotten better but a long way to go. Thanks for your reply, Ted. -

Hi my name is Ted. I am a 36 year old male from Michigan. I have been feeling horrible since April of 2007. My primary care physician kept telling me it was panic/anxiety. So I went on all of the SSRIs that they prescribed to me. They also prescribed me Xanax. A couple of months later they found out that I had hypothyroidism. So I continued on all... -
ARCHIVED My First Time Of Here, Hi. I Have Celiac And Curious
GlutenGuy36 replied to dhorseygirls's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Well I use to think that to. Until it took them 9 months to diagnose me. You have to trust what your body is telling you. If I had listened to the doctors, I still wouldn't be diagnosed with Celiac Disease. They wanted me to believe for 7 months that it was just anxiety. Here take some Paxil and Prozac and you will be fine. That's why they call it ... -

GlutenGuy36 replied to dhorseygirls's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Yes there a links between Candida and Celiac Disease. Alot of doctors don't like to admit it for whatever reason. If you buy some virgin coconut oil ( make sure its virgin) it will help get the yeast under control. It has Caprylic acid, lauric acid and Capric acid in it. It breaks the coating down on the outside of the yeast that allows it to survive... -

I was just wondering what is considered normal for your IgA levels. I had my paperwork but lost it. If I remember correctly my IgA levels were clost to 500 is that rediculously high? That's how I was diagnosed was by blood tests. My colonoscopy and endoscopy were inconclusive but I was feeling dreadful. Diagnosed July 14th of 2008. Feeling horrible... -
