    Misc...

I feel a cold coming on ...and I've been having some trouble with some things that seem like they would spout from cross-contamination, but I don't know how...anyway, I'm still very tired, and even more so since Wednesday morning I woke up at 4:30 A.M. and couldn't go back to sleep after I heard that Obama had been elected. It strikes me funny the irony...

    Tired...

This has been a long weekend, with Friday first processing chickens then going over to a friend's house for worship and fellowship and staying up until, what was it, eleven-thirty? Somewhere around there. Anyway, on Saturday we had two families over for dinner and they stayed until around nine-thirty, and I got to bed around ten-thirty after watching some...

  6. Has anyone found that green tea or chickweed helps them with their symptoms? Because they have been working for me..
  7. I'm back to answer my own question...the vanilla flavored kind is not gluten free, and it's possible that there might be some cross-contamination into the regular kind, but people have reported back with no ill effects from it...
  8. Hi I'm casein sensitive as well as gluten sensitive and I had been using Rice Dream -thanks for the tip, I won't be using it anymore -but does anyone know if the Whole Foods brand of rice milk is safe?
  9. 1. sex: Female 2. age: 13 3. ethnic group: Caucasian 4. age at which you were diagnosed: 12 5. How did you feel when you were diagnosed? I was rather surprised (since no one else in my family has a diagnosis of the sort), but glad since I was only gluten-sensitive (not as advanced as celiac) and that I already knew people who could help me. 6. Did you...
  10. People are able to be gluten intolerant without having celiac -I am one of them, being gluten-senstitive.
  11. Is the blue bag of skittles ok?
  12. Here's what I think -I'm not allowed to have a lot of the unhealthy things, so I'm actually a lot healthier than anybody who doesn't have diet restrictions.
  13. Corn chips...I don't see any of that out there
  14. Corn/tortilla chips...most of them have only corn, oil, and salt, plus they're cheap... Peanut butter -if it doesn't have crumbs

    ARCHIVED Camp

I went to a week-long camp a few weeks after I was diagnosed as gluten and casein sensitive...I brought homemade, frozen lunches and dinners (the nurse had a microwave in her cabin) and gluten-free bagels and cereal, and rice milk for breakfast. For snacks I took corn/tortilla chips and homemade chocolate chip cookies...The trip took two days to make, and...
  16. I've had that problem on a week-long trip...I've found that ham or turkey cold cuts are okay (if they don't have modified food starch), and another choice is cooking something gluten-free beforehand and packing it for later.
  17. I've been tested by EnteroLab...I am gluten- and casein-sensitive. I am also wondering what the difference is between being gluten-sensitive or gluten-intolerant. I would appreciate it if anyone could help!
  18. Hi KayJay I'm gluten and casein sensitive...yes, anything with milk products in it would probably not be good for you. It also depends on how sensitive you are to it. For instance, Lindt dark chocolate 'may contain traces of milk', but I still have it anyway. And the ingredient list doesn't always say specifically something that you know comes from milk...

    New Member

Well, I'm a new member who joined yesterday...I'm gluten- and casein-sensitive. I don't know what the difference is between being "sensitive" and "intolerant". I was diagnosed a few months ago, and I'm still not sure about everything I can eat. I'm looking for a friend maybe gluten-sensitive, and around my age (13) who is a Christian.
  20. When I went gluten-free, my mom made rice crackers for me to take along to church myself...I am of no specific denomination, just "family-integrated", so this is for anyone who it might help...
