  1. With those numbers you have celiac. Serum IGA isn't a celiac marker but the others are. Serum IGA just tells you your immune system is working proprely and at 161, its within the normal range which means the other values are valid. I had similar numbers on my bloodwork and had the biopsy. I went to see an inernest a while later and he asked why I...
  2. I was percribed it for irritable bladder but never took it. Took a different drug for three months and bladder is fine now. Of course I read recently that irritable bladder is a celiac symptom. Egads what next.
  3. Synthroid is a crappy drug. I am FAR smaller than you but was taking 200. 88mcg is hardly close to overdose. Even in 5' tall 100 pound mother was taking 150 mcg. Do yourself a favour, and get a doc that will give you desicated thyroid hormone. Syncrap isn't even guaranteed to be gluten free.
  4. I used to eat McCann's occasionally and would sometimes feel something. I recently made a purchase from Open Original Shared Link The oats are really yummy and tastier than any I've had before.
  5. Add me to the list. I had what I thought was heartburn. I had a reflux test and they told me I only had minor reflux. I took zantac then prilosec and neither one did much good. When I found out I had celiac, within three weeks I stopped taking all of the drugs and only had minor heart burn and over time, even that went away.
  6. I had the biopsy and no biggie. I was sedated. I remember the throat spray and them putting something in my mouth so I didn't bite the scope and NOTHING else. I was perfectly fine afterwards, not even a sore throat.
  7. \ Some flavors of doritos have wheat on the label so no, NOT all frito lay products are gluten-free. Open Original Shared Link
  8. My son's ped told me I couldn't possibly be compliant with the diet and must cheat. I was furious.
  9. My oldest son was the same way. Some boys grow very little between 7 and 11. Mine was pretty much the same size at 12 he was at 8. In the last 9 months, he's grown close to 4" and gained a good 15 lbs.
  10. Interesting because for me antigliadin IgA was the only one that was "normal" 17 with a cut off of 20. The IgG and the TTG were off the charts. I think its safe to assume it would have been over 10 7 months ago
  11. I've tried ALL of these things and ended up having injections.
  12. Please remove the first one, it has your name on it.
  13. Our family doc is fine so we're good there. We only see this guy once a year so I have a while to decide what to do. Its interesting because he is a little short thing himself so it almost seems like he gets defensive over the growth stuff. Its not as easy as just calling around I'm afraid. We're in canada and you have to work the system to even get in...
  14. Well, that is exactly what I thought. He emphatically stated he did not have celiac so I could stop worrying about that. Totally wrong information. Are not kids of celiacs suppose to be tested on a regular basis. Sheesh.
  15. Not to defend him but he is a growth doc and not a GI. Very obvioulsy my little DS is reacting to the gluten-free diet. He has gone from being under the growth curve to being between 5th and 10th percentile. Growth doc said tihs was very good but felt it was conincidental. I'm not chasing a dx for DS given I'm gluten-free and the house is. It...
  16. Wow, I just had the MOST frustrating appt with a ped my DS sees for growth issues. I had had DS tested for celiac (TTG) and somehow he was sent a copy from the hospital. Not sure why/how. He said it was normal. I told him I was celiac and he not in so many words told me I was delusional. He asked about gut symptoms and It old him I had very little despite...
  17. Its very likely that all tests you have done in april will be negative if you've been gluten-free since feb.
  18. You know he has the genes, and you know he has positive blood work. You know he got the gene somewhere and your bloodwork is very close to postiive. I'd say he got the genes from you and you have it too. I would call the GI you have a referal to and BEG to get in earlier.
  19. Welcome to the club. That is a positive result.
  20. I took syncrap for 12 years and never felt good on it. I switched to dessicated last may and the moment I took it I felt better. I will never take syncrap again.
  21. It was a good month for me before I gave up my nap Now I nap MAYBE once a month if that.
  22. RAST measures IgE, the same that skin prick testing measures. It is usually used to back up positive skin prick testing I was just curious.
  23. What kind of allergy testing was that? IgG or RAST?
  24. Ont here too and your lab work looks like it went through the same lab as mine with the exact same wording. I found it took me 6 months to get rid of the tummy pains. I stopped taking prilosec after a month of gluten-free. You should likely try a grain free trial. I suspect you'd find your gas gone. From what I have seen on line, it seems that pathologists...
