  1. Well, I am no longer in caffeine withdrawal, it's been two weeks sense I had caffeine and I no longer feel groggy during the day (at first I even fell asleep sitting up) - But, I definitely like the idea of drinking tea. As for giving it up; I seem to react extremely to every allergy, intolerance, and sensitivity that shows it's ugly head, to the point...
  2. Terra doesn't claim to be gluten-free (much less dedicated) and doesn't appear to make casava chips, and makes regular potato chips, and does all kinds of flavorings, so it's all kinds of CC in theory - not really an option. Enjoy life doesn't make a single rice-free product (I've checked). But the Chebe mixes look like a great option.
  3. I thought I would, but not really. I was perfectly okay giving up every food until coffee, but that pushed me over the edge. It was my favorite flavor and smell, it was a normal store brand, and the one consumable substance I had consistently sense before gluten-free and long after. I am not okay with giving up my piece of solid ground. Before, because...
  4. I don't really know what a rotation diet is, but I know it's the opposite of eating the same thing at the same time every day for a long period (which I had been doing). It sounds exceedingly hard, considering.. The local grocery stores are the opposite of accommodating, none of them ever accepted a single stock request I've made. But the food on that...
  5. Dairy and gluten-free, I loved it. Latex-fruit free was a breeze. Adding soy-free, was slightly annoying. Adding all legumes, rice, and potatoes/yams was irritating. Adding coffee-free recently, downright depressing. Coffee seemed like the only normal thing about me!! I could drink coffee with people and be a person! I'm a punker, "clairvoyant," into...
  6. At this point, I cannot have : chocolate or coffee legumes (soy, nuts, beans) dairy gluten, potatoes, rice (unsure of corn) bananas, pineapples, kiwis, blueberries, strawberries Is there any place I can either find recipes that for this insane criteria, or anything pre-made i can buy (at all)? Or even fresh/plain food recommendations? shopping was...
  7. Just an update : I am no longer even thinking such a silly thing. After finding the root of my problems was not just other "food allergies", but caffeine and rice, and that my reaction to coffee and rice was identical to other celiacs, on top of those being significantly more common sensitivities in celiacs than non-celiacs, I will not even risk trying...
  8. Aah your like my symptom-twin. I am currently in the middle of an anaphylaxic reaction, and have been having them (without even knowing what they were until recently) for quite some time, semi-regularly. I thought it was, well, I don't even know. I just referred to them as "spells of extreme sickness that usually happen at night for a few hours at a time...
  9. Because I was so sick, the second I found out celiac disease existed, I went gluten-free. I got tested afterward.. By a few months, and it was too late to be positive. Never had an endoscopy. All I cared about was the fact that my symptoms were slowly vanishing and I wasn't a living zombie in constant pain. Now I find myself questioning my leap of faith...
  10. I am a super sensitive. When I get glutened.. I definitely know. The only prepackaged food I even eat is Lundberg rice, and I don't bake with anything "gluten-free" either. Can't get much safer than "all raws + rice".. + gluten-free home, + no eating out, + dedicated soaps, toothpaste, etc. But thank you for the heads up.
  11. No colonoscopy for me - I'm pretty young and symptoms are vanishing, and I have a hard time getting doctors to take me seriously anyway (because I'm not deficient of vitamins, not anemic, and generally "appear" healthy) so they kind of just let me be if I'm not complaining. But I do have multiple intolerances (Dairy, etc). I'm also allergic to dairy and soy...
  12. Doctors are usually very hesitant to label someone celiac, because it leads to a restrictive diet. If he is insisting.. He probably has strong evidence. Or he's a loon. If you have an inconclusive test, they may ask you to go gluten-free as a secondary test, and it would be very important that you actually do so. If you haven't been told yet, you can (and...
  13. Oh, I never ate dairy. Allergic all my life. I used to drink filtered water, but it didn't give me a problem. I do drink bottled now. That is very interesting though, I guess I'd better call the company before buying filters in the future. I actually found.. my stomach problems do not seem to be ulcer related, but food related, just not in a way I...
  14. Oh that's a great point! I can at least say, despite CC worries, if I were in the area and needed food, I'd eat at doodle's place in a heartbeat. The chance of being glutened is very minor in a place like that, compared to the standard "getting a salad" at any similar eatery. If it went well, I'd eat there again. The hard part is getting me to believe it...
  15. Sadly, I have no choice. I called about having a lab done for H. pylori, and a local hospital offers it, but they won't do it without a doctors referral and they won't proscribe medicine if it comes back positive. My best bet is a family health care facility that has labs on-site. Probably cheaper and faster.
  16. It does the same for me, which is why I'd love to add it back to my list of "takeable medicines" I was worried about it being a second stomach condition when I posted this, but after thinking it over.. I don't know what I could be tested for. Certainly not the right symptoms for a hiatal hernia, stomach ulcer, cancers, or anything else I can think of...
  17. Wow, really? I never had an endoscopy, sense I was diagnosed young, and had no signs of complications. But had a small number of TTG antibodies which would imply some gut damage had been done. (the TTGs are the ones that do it right?) For some reason I thought it was supposed to take me 1 year, but 2 years is much more believable. Oh wow, that means...
  18. Okay, I'm at 10 months gluten-free, 3 months CC-free.. But I still have significant dyspepsia (stomach pain, bloating, heartburn, belching), even when not glutened. It's definitely calmer than when I was on gluten. It revs up if I'm contaminated somehow.. But it also acts up on its own, it seems. I couldn't say for sure if the recent "rev" was caused by...
  19. Almost nothing in your new post seems different from the first (aside from explaining the placement and that it's more of a "to-go" kind of deal) You were pretty clear. The thing about very sensitive celiacs.. As you have noticed, we aren't enthusiastic about eating out in general, after so many bad experiences it's easy to become cynical. Having a shared...
  20. Wow! Great to hear both are at least theoretically safe and work well. It comes down to which is cheaper, Light Mountain Henna. Or higher quality, hennaforhair.
  21. On the subject of mysticism, or whatever you want to call it, there are many who believe those who are made psychically weak/tired are more susceptible to spirit activity or more in sync with the supernatural side of the world. They also believe that link won't necessarily vanish if the person becomes healthy/alert. I experience in similar ways, more...
  22. honestly.. For someone like me, the only way that could work (maybe) is if you had a "gluten area" and " gluten-free" area in the kitchen, and they never touched the same surfaces. "cleaning between item-types" never seems to be enough to keep me fully CC-free. Same oven is potentially a problem, but kind of depends. I'm probably not your ideal customer...
  23. I finally found the name of the said symptom : dyspepsia or indigestion. " * upper abdominal pain (above the navel), * belching, * nausea (with or without vomiting), * abdominal bloating (the sensation of abdominal fullness without objective distention), * early satiety (the sensation of fullness after a very small amount of food), and, * possibly...
  24. When I touch anything containing coconut oil or that has coconut oil residue on it, I seem to develop digestive symptoms shortly afterward. Often, very significant ones..! Periods of combined shaking, nausea, and belching, bad enough to keep/wake me up, for which lettuce seems to be the only cure. (and yes I get awful eczema with it. My tonsils swell, mouth...
  25. Do either Sudafed PE or Actifed contain soy or Gluten? Sense I am still working on finding coconut-free soaps, (found out making it takes weeks), and it clearly wont' resolve for a few more days (not to mention my symptoms are VERY bad) I have decided to at least try killing my histamines until then. It should work, right? If both are gluten-free...
