ARCHIVED gluten-free Still Having Symptoms
Mrs. Smith replied to Mrs. Smith's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I just looked at the country life coenzyme b. It has a lot of niacin in it. Does it make you flush? I weigh 100lbs and really sensitive to side effects. I already take a prenatal with b in it and sublingual b12. I might try them. How many do you take a day maybe I can take a 1/2 dose. -

ARCHIVED Is Fiber Bad For Healing?
Mrs. Smith replied to Gfresh404's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Yes I have been there! I had to stop eating salad for a couple months or do a small one once a week. I still sometimes see whole lettuce in the toilet, though it is gradually getting better. I cook most veggies cause too much raw will give me gas and bloating still. Digestive enzymes and acidopholis have helped alot and eating rice or meat bfore the veggies... -

Mrs. Smith replied to EazyE's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
How long did the detox last? I have 4mos gluten free and I have symptoms during menses and when I am fatigued. MY stomach is way better but I am still having tingling and some muscle twitching and pain. Better than before gluten-free though. I dont eat dairy and watch the soy intake. All my blood tests are normal. Is this just something that takes time? And... -
ARCHIVED Gfdf Replacements For My Old Favorites?
Mrs. Smith replied to krystal's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I also use Earth Balance margarine and I really like it. Coffeemate is GFDF. Thats what I use. There is a creamer from silk too that is good if you can tolerate soy. Personally it gives me gas, but the coffeemate is good and has all kinds of flavors. -

ARCHIVED Your Daily Vitamin Regimen?
Mrs. Smith replied to foodiegurl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I take most of them with breakfast. The enzymes with meals, cal/mag at night. The brand B12 now is by the Health food store I used to work for. But the methyl one in any good brand is good natures plus or whatever. Im a firm believer that supplementation is essential when you have an ailment. They do work!! Get good brands!! They will absorb very well with... -
ARCHIVED Your Daily Vitamin Regimen?
Mrs. Smith replied to foodiegurl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I take a prenatal, all women of child bearing age should. I also take DHA, acidopholis, digestive enzymes, sublingual b12, cal/mag, resveratrol, and evening primrose for PMS. I think these are all good for anyone but the cal/mag and b12 are essential for celiacs we are often defficient. As for saggy neck I think vitamin E oil may help or find someone in your... -
I have tiny water blisters on my left foot toes. My hands are very dry and ichy elbows. Does this sound like DH? It is winter and it has gotten worse. It clears up for a few weeks and then flares up again. Is there anything I can do to help this or is it just like every other symptom that I have to give time for healing and be patient?

Mrs. Smith replied to Kelly9's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I hear you girl! I tried for 3yrs! The one time I did get pregnant I was taking evening primrose oil and it seemed to make me more fertile. If you do take it and you get pregnant you have to stop taking it, but it seemed to work while trying! Good Luck! Im going to try again when I have one year gluten free. -

ARCHIVED New Here And Self Diagnose
Mrs. Smith replied to HopeNFaith's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Digmom- just curious what other symptoms cleared up that you had no idea were gluten related? I am 4 mos gluten free and trying to be patient, I get frustrated when I have residual symptoms. Just the other day I realised my infertillity and miscarrage were prob. gluten related and just started sobbing. I hope one day I can be free of all of the symptoms. -

ARCHIVED Complete Recovery?
Mrs. Smith replied to Anthony22's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I feel you, too. I am 3 mos. gluten free and I go from feeling really great to having the symptoms again. They are getting milder every time. I am really starting to believe people on here when they say it takes a long time. Being virtually poisoned our whole life on top of being very nutrient deficient, will in my opinion take a long time to overcome. Im... -

ARCHIVED Residual Symptoms Or Slip Ups?
Mrs. Smith replied to Beloved's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I know what you mean. My symptoms build up too. I completely stopped eating out and I had to quit soda too and I love coke. It stopped my diareah though. I still have muscle pain at times but massage, excersise and sticking to my diet are slowly helping. I think lunch meat gives me a reaction too. I had pastrami 2 days in a row and felt like crap. Just be... -
ARCHIVED If You Wash A Pan Thats Been Used To Cook Gluttened Goods Is It Clean?
Mrs. Smith replied to UnhappyCoeliac's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I have Greenpans! You guys should try them! They are scrach resistant, non-porus, and they dont emit those bad chemicals that nonsticks do. I mostly clean with a dishwasher but I never thought about the sponge! Another item I have to dedicate just to my lifestyle. Thanks! -
I take Solaray Multidophilus. Its dairy-free. 3 billion of acidophilus bifidum and bulgarius. I take like 4-6 a day in the morning or before bed. They help my digestion alot and also help with gas from raw veggies. I love them. Expensive, but a quality brand. Capsules and Vegetarian as far as I know.
