  1. Umm....YES! I am pms-ing right now and all of my symptoms come back every month for the week before my period. Though every month they are less severe than the last. I feel like someone hit me with a truck. Keep taking your vitamins. Im sure its b/c our systems are trying to heal and are set back each month by the menstral cycle. It gets better. My hormonal...
  2. You might want to research some vitamins and supplements. Same thing happened to me and I started taking many vitamins and that has helped even more. Remember it is a long road and sometimes frustrating, there will be set backs. Im 6mos gluten-free and still have symptoms a few days out of the month. I just had my 1st "normal" BM a week ago, since I was like...
  3. I made my first smoothie this morning with slippery elm, marshmallow root, and glutamine powders. The funny thing is last week for about 4 days I had the most normal BM Ive ever seen come out of my body...EVER! I was so excited. Well now Im back to the D. I probably over did it. Anyways has anyone tried these ingredients? I read that all of them heal the...
  4. I know how you feel. I used to think celiac stole something from me, robbing me of my health. I am young and should never have been so mysteriously ill. Now I feel like it has actually given me a gift. I see that life is short and limiting at one time for everyone in some way. I thank god my kids are safe and my health will improve. I have also been tested...
  5. I had the same exact problem as a teen. Then by mid 20's the cramps just got so much less. My advice is to stay on the diet. Drink alot of water, the uterus is a muscle and needs water. My periods have gotten better although my PMS is worse. Some months being better than others. I have asked a similar question on here if anyone experiences PMS "gluten symptoms...
  6. Yeah you sound alot like me. I thought I had dairy intolerance forever. My wonderful Dr. says it is one of the manifestations of celiac. I was really sick all through my 20's with D and had infertility. I and my DR through process of elimination dx'd me celiac. I tell people I am so they just go with it. My dr thinks its the root of all my issues. Thanks...
  7. I was just looking this subject up! Im having a bad seasonal allergy attack for the last few days and now today I am nauseas! It must just be the allergies. Im on my period too so Im sure thats not helping!!
  8. This happens to me too. It used to be worse when I ate gluten. I still experience it quite often, though. I was getting a massage a few weeks ago and she went to my abdomen and it gurgled SO loudly! LOL! It was embarassing/ the next day I had D really bad! Peppermint tea is the best thing I have found for it yet. Dr says its just my digestion issues related...
  9. I was watching The Doctors yesterday and Jenny McCarthy was on. She mentioned that having to look so far into her autistic sons diet forced her to look at her own. She says she found out she is also allergic to wheat and dairy and currently following gluten-free/CF diet with her son. So I say count her in!
  10. Im sorry to hear about all this! I am clear from the DR and Gyno so I should be ok. My actual periods have actually improved. As a teenager I had severe cramps and fainting spells. Now Im 29, gluten free and my periods are shorter and less heavy. Im just noticing many symptoms of PMS now. I am on b12, prenatals, cal/mag, and various digestion supplements...
  11. The symptoms were also D and headaches. It just seems alot worse now, maybe Im just more concience of it now after having to pay so much attention to what my body is doing.
  12. Thanks for stopping by!

  13. I noticed that my "gluten" symptoms seem to come back when Im PMS-ing. For the whole week before my period I get D, muscle aches, eczema outbreaks, brain fog, hot flashes, bursts of energy followed by fatigue. What is going on? Is it my vitamin difficiencies? I am gluten free for sure now (Ive learned all the tricks...I think) Its been 5 mos. and this happens...
  14. I use them to help with digestion and as insurance for CC-ings! My husband and kids are not gluten free and although I am careful...well u know. I take them with every meal. The ones I use are called Gluten Defense they are by Enzymatic Therapy. I actually stopped taking them for a week recently because I ran out and had really bad D all week. This confirmed...
  15. I havent been feeling myself for a few days. I had my 2 week massage yesterday. I am really sore, could not sleep lastnight, and today I have really bad D! I dont get it! I have been gluten-free for 5 mos. I started to feel really good, normal BM's, no pain for like 2 mos. Its like a friggin roller coaster. Im either really great or really sick. I did run...
  16. Ive heard that The Cheesecake Factory is really good about accomodating food allergies. If you are in Eureka, its on the 101 between the Bay Area and Oregon, stop by Eureka Natural Foods they have tons of gluten-free items and a kick ass juice bar!
  17. It is funny that you posted this. I woke up this morning with one! I was like what the heck is this? I thought maybe I was biting my cheeks or something. I dont know what they are from. I googled them and people mostly said they were nothing. Since going gluten free Ive had some weird symptoms. I never had a skin rash until gluten-free and Ive had cold sores...
  18. Id like to know the answer to this too. I am 4 mos. gluten free. I have recurring episodes of D and other symptoms. It seems like everything I eat has to be in moderation or Im back into sick mode. I am better gluten-free but not completely. We need some encouragement! How long does it take? Its frustrating!
  19. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  20. Stoked! I love the honey nut ones! Our store still dosent have them but Im looking forward to it! I eat rice checks already but I would much rather have the Honey Nut!!!
  21. Interesting thoughts. I dont know if I believe it, either. I just thought that it was pretty weird that I had the O+ blood and the book pretty much had it spot on. Then my Dr was all about it. He is pretty cool like that. He teaches nutrition and is hesitant to prescribe drugs which I like! He thinks most ailments (with some acceptions, of course) can be...
  22. Book says type ab should avoid wheat! LOL! Oh and Corn. Lists Celiac Disease as an increased risk in this bloodtype.
  23. I SO know how you feel! If I go for too long a walk or work a really busy shift, Im down for like 2 days! I am only 29 and sometimes I feel sooo much older! Take it easy, you know your body, do only what you can. For me it seems to be getting better slowly. I am 4 mos gluten free with a few accidents. The first thing that I noticed was the amount of energy...
  24. I dont have acid reflux, but my stomach was bothering me that day. I was hoping the peppermint would calm it down. It did make me burp alot and gave me heartburn but only for like an hour. Maybe its just too strong for my system right now. I will stick to the tea. Thank you for the info
  25. My Dr. always says that Im an O bloodtype and that its associated with gluten intolerance/celiac. Is anyone else an O? I have read the book Eat Right for your Type and wheat is the main food for O's to avoid along with Oranges and Dairy which I cannot tolerate either. Do you think there is something to this? Should everyone with an O bloodtype be tested?...
