  1. I hate that but I just lost my first reply to you Anaba. I got glutened again and this time it is much worst with stomach pain and D. I also feel weakness in my hand and dont know if it is a coincidence I dropped things around when it was starting on Tuesday. The worst is the shortness of breath. That used to be my biggest issue in the spring 2009 when...
  2. Gluten must make me sleepy tired and makes me yawning non-stop. I have hard time moving and doing things and I feel the need to sit or lie down to breathe easily. The other day I knew I was glutened because I walked with difficulty worrying about reaching home and it was a 5 min walk that I do twice every day. I also kept sleeping took frequent naps during...
  3. Eric, do you know if the spit test is reliable for candida overgrowth? Now, I am going to share my experience with my own candida cleanse. I have done the spit test about two weeks ago and since then I am on a low carb, plenty of veggies and protein diet with no sugar including fruit sugar. Not an easy diet but I want to cleanse my body from candida and...
  4. OMG I forgot about this thread. Sorry The Fluffy and Nancym. Thanks for the replies. Nancym, I am learning that post nasal drip and sinus infections can be due to candida. So, I am declaring a war with candida and gathered all info on what can help me with. There is a easy test you can do yourself to know if you have candida.
  5. Sorry for the late reply but until today I didn't know how to find my topics. I just realized how. Thanks for your reply. Wheat and barley grass can be gluten free because the grass doesn't contain the protein gluten. I am taking wheat grass this week to help me with candida alkalize and get some good enzymes. If they don't say gluten free it would be from...
  6. Thank you Roda. It does have a strong smell to me anyway. But I know that I don't tolerate certain smells. Sometimes, I have to spit food people give me or even restaurant food and it usually has to do with fats oils and butters. Right at this moment, after reading your reply I went to check the jar of coconut oil and smelled it. YUK I can't even tolerate...
  7. I know this is an old thread but I just started taking coconut oil. It gives me nausea and I have problem with the strong smell. I was so eager to use coconut because of all the benefits. Coconut milk may have increase my acid reflux but almost anything I try with my caffeinated brings me or increase acid reflux. I am thinking of giving up tea and coffee...
  8. You could have candida. I suspect that for myself. You have to adopt a diet that will starve candida in your gut and stay away from sweet food even fruits for a while. Easily said than done. I have been trying for a long time and I always come back and have some sweet. I have just heard of the coconut diet and coconut oil being excellent for candida. But...
  9. How did you learn about your intolerance to nightshade vegetables? Was it a skin test? I had skin test done too and I had sensitivity to brocoli and food like that and many other things but I dismissed it as soon as I left the allergist office. I have heard that skin test are not very reliable. However since then, I noticed some sensitivity to broccoli and...
  10. Hi there, I was starting to get worried about my symptoms coming back when I remembered that there is something I did last spring and this week too. I started oil pulling in the spring (actually a little earlier) but I stopped when I was overwhelmed with gluten intolerance symptoms. Now, I am back to oil pulling and I really believe in this technique has...
  11. Yes and this is the second or 3rd time I lose my appetite for the last 8 months. However, I don't how I could have been glutened but I am very tired. The stiffness and weak muscles are back. I am also very depressed and with 0 appetite for the last 2 days. I have a bitter taste in my mouth. I don't even want to eat my favourite foods I introduced some milk...
  12. Does anyone know if Proactiv is still gluten free? I have been using them for years. But I am now starting to be careful with cosmetics and I have to go buy a cleanser tonic lotion package. On their website this is what they say: Are the products Gluten-free? In accordance with the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA), Gluten is listed...
  13. Sorry for the late reply. My house was being painted and I almost asked if the paint was gluten free Thanks again for the info. I think I need to go to Australia! I always liked that place and not only they have sunny weather and warmth but they are also strict on gluten! Today, I started telling some members of my family that I went gluten free. They...
  14. Sorry for the late reply. For me checking every ingredient is so confusing and it seems like I would need years to learn the tricks. The easiest way is maybe to make my own shampoo or just go to the health food store and ask what's gluten free.
  15. Maybe they are neurological celiac. As for me since I went gluten free, I am addicted to cheese popcorn from Smart Food so I am not really losing weight.
  16. Thank you very much Lisa. This is gonna be like a scavenger hunt. I am so used to Clarins, Proactive, Sensodyne and a few others. I think I will probably find stuff in a big health food store... I am glad I live in a big city.
  17. Could you share which brand names you used or currently using and that are gluten free? Soap, shampoo and after shamp., shower gel, tooth paste, moisturizer for the body and face etc. Also, if you know ingredients that contain gluten but are hidden it is good to know. Like vit E = hidden wheat.
  18. Yes, true. I have been thinking of which friend could use them. I wasn't feeling well on Friday and I couldn't figure out anything wrong I ate. But my head was heavy full and I was lethargic and couldn't get up in the morning. Later, I slept in a waiting room. I am usually very alert even when I am sleep deprived. I came to the realization I had put plenty...
  19. Pretty much everything from Clarins has gluten! I have new products I bought over the summer and it is too late to return them. What a waste. I hate Clarins!
  20. Roxnhead, I am having sleep attacks this week and it is hard to get up in the morning. Today, I slept in a waiting room and I was feeling tired and washed out even after exercising for about an hour. Maybe the exercise was too much? Maybe my sleep wasn't enough but I am not taking any more garlic! It makes me slow and tired. Can someone tell me if this...
  21. I want to reply to this message now. Last night, while I was writing my reply to Haleym, I had a sleep attack and kept closing my eyes and fought to stay awake. I wish I didn't: this morning, I woke up when I heard my alarm and pressed the snooze bottom but couldn't sleep because of the constructions behind my building. Very noisy! So, I was drowsy and sleepy...
  22. Haylem, so far, the only symptoms I found for vit D are depressed moods, nausea and bone aches. My vit D was at 55 in Septembre and 60 in April/May. I think the optimum is between 100 and 200. I have been taking at least 1000iu for about a year now with some days I would forget. Now, I switched to 2000iu not long ago. I will look into vit D and muscular effects...
  23. I know someone who had it done but by EnteroLab and he is happy with it. I heard that there are companies doing the gene tests in Canada but they only do the celiac genes (HLA-DQ2?), not the gluten sensitive non-celiac genes (DQ1...DQ3?). Now, the whole gene testing is new to me and I may be wrong somewhere. In that case, I ask others to correct me.
  24. I stopped because I didn't know I was doing too much over the daily dose for these vitamins and minerals that are not water soluble. At the time, I didn't know I had any type of intolerance. I just knew I craved certain food and could eat it at any time of the day. I am not diagnosed but I know there is something going on. I just wonder how much my supplements...
