  1. Thanks for answering. Well, when I started going 3 times I was happy until a friend of mine burst my bubble telling me it wasn't good. I think what your doctor says about no absorbing toxins and what Michelle is saying could both be true. In my case, this is actually very interesting. I have been looking to notice any digestive issue and I always thought...
  2. What is the normal number of bowel movements? I have about 3 a day and a friend told me it wasn't normal. I do feel my food has a quick transit time now than it used to be. I also know that a hyper working thyroid gland makes you go to the washroom often but once that was cleared I didnt worry about my BM. Should I? I also have large stools for the amount...
  3. I have light sensitivity and also sunlight sensitivity but only since last year for the later. After a bad sinus infection that went on for weeks and after 2 months of migraines (doctors said it was all due to the sinuses), I started having sunlight sensitivity. Now, I grew up in Africa and sunlight was never a problem actually I craved sunlight but now I...
  4. Should I do the whole thing or just do the ones that were missing like the Anti-tissue Transglutaminase?
  5. No problem and sorry to hear you are having a life trauma. Hope things will be alright soon. Thank you but didn't get what you said as I am not familiar with all the test names. They are many IGAs which one are you talking about? On the 3 tests I did my IGA is 5 and the normal range says <20.
  6. Sorry for the late answer. I just saw your message. No, I didn't have allergy testing done but I am going to do it now. I have an appointment with a naturopathic doctor and my doctor want me to see an allergist but he doesn't know anyone who does food allergies so I just decided I should see a naturopathic doctor. I have some other symptoms who aren...
  7. So, what's the complete celiac panel? Would the tTG complete my test or I need even more? Please let me know what are the different tests in a complete panel. My doctor doesn't know much about celiac and he was checking on his computer before he prescribed the tests but he is willing to listen. I am almost off gluten but it happens that I eat a little bit...
  8. My lab results are: Gliadin Ab IgA says result= 5 Gliadin Ab IgG says attention 21 Units: KEU/L and Reference range is <20 for IgA and IgG. Endomysial Antibodies is Negative...
  9. No problem. I am going to see him on June 2nd and I will ask him a copy of the results. I forgot to do it the last time but he told me 2 out of the 3 tests were negative and the other one was higher.
  10. Hi everyone, He says my blood tests to check if I have celiac is unconclusive and also he doesn't think I have celiac since I have no other deficiency than vitamin D. I am about 60 for vit D and the optimum is in the range 75-100. I told him I actually take vit D in supplement but it is also the end of winter. He thinks my symptoms like feeling depressed...
  11. I found this website: Open Original Shared Link I copy pasted the symptoms: Symptoms of a wheat allergy or wheat intolerance (not exhaustive by any means): Arthritis Bloated stomach Chest pains Depression or mood swings Diarrhoea Eczema Feeling dizzy or faint Joint and muscle aches and pains Nausea or vomiting Palpitations Psoriasis...
  12. Everything I bought is certified gluten free but it was the first time I really looked for gluten free ready food. It wasn't pleasant because I looked for real bread and I didn't find any plain bread. My guess is that the gluten free home made bread is a better solution. True most of us don't eat rye or barley but I actually would be so happy to hold on...
  13. I don't know the answer but I would really like to know for sure.
  14. Anybody read that book? The author, called Dr Gluten lives in NZ.
  15. Hello everyone, My first gluten free shopping went well except that I almost screamed after I saw some of the prices. I went there to find bread or something that looks like it. I was disappointed and worried about the taste but I was wrong...the one I tried is so delicious! They aren't plain white bread but seem nutritious full of raisins and other stuff...
  16. I found this discussion with our friend google. Didn't know I was coming back to the celiac.com forum. I have had cold hands and feet for a number of years but it is now getting really bad. I have to find an external source of heat to keep my feet warm and it hurt. Unless I have been walking and moving for the last 2 hours, I cannot just go to sleep like...
  17. Are most chocolate safe? What should I be looking for to make sure it is gluten free? Thanks for sharing your tricks.
  18. Do we have to avoid gluten on the skin too? I thought it was about food only
  19. Jenny, -go off gluten if that's what you have to do to get your periods. That's way too important to your health. -go off gluten if that's what you have to do to get more focus and succeed in your education. ADD is another big issue and I have heard that ADD could be caused by gluten. I am new to this forum and to the whole celiac issue but I too...
  20. Thank you. Definitely lack of sun exposure is one of them. The Canadian winter has just ended and during winter I barely out for day time. I have also stopped drinking milk and I hate yogurt. Ok, maybe time to go back to milk now because I don't think I am getting enough vit D with the rest of my diet. I am going to eat gluten free but will not worry about...
  21. Well whatever squished is already in your body (mouth) so better to try getting rid of some. Now, getting back to celiac can a low vit D be a sign of having celiac disease. Vit B12 was checked and fine. I take many vitamine supplements vit C D B and cal-mag. I had my blood test done and I have a low vit D but no sign of celiac.
  22. Thanks for the reminder. I am so stubborn I know. But I am not sure I have celiac though...my doctor's office called me on Friday and I missed the call but I think he may be sending me for the colonscopy. If I really have celiac I will go cold turkey otherwise I will give up gluten progressively. I already dont eat it as a main dish neither as bread to accompany...
  23. I agree with Jetsgar. It makes sense! I think I have been soaking up some of the oil. Do sesame oil contain omega 3?
  24. Thank you JW, My test came negative. But I am staying away from most gluten containing food. I still have a bit here and there. But I am not eating pasta, bread and pastries (oh I had half a croissant yesterday! A quiet cheater) I eat more veggies and I eat potatoes, sweet potatoes and rice as carbs. You are right there must a lot to eat but I...
  25. Thank you very much HNEM. I just saw your message and will check the link. Yes, doctors do miss stuff. Had my blood tests results. they came negative. My doctor prescribed a few more tests on the same day and the nurse at his office called me to say I have a Vit D deficiency only and I should be taking 800 units of vit D. But I actually take many vitamines...
