  1. I need a protein bar that is free of gluten, soy, corn, dairy, and sugar. Taste is not a concern here. Basically, I just want the protein and calories. Know of anything like this?
  2. Probably it was the pork itself. I gave it up several weeks ago after reading about the stuff. I have more energy and feel better. Ate the stuff for years and never thought anything of it. If I ate some today, after being away from it for so long, I'd probably get sicker than hell. Want to know what you're really eating? It's pig crap. Pigs eat anything and...
  3. I've been taking it daily in a vitamin supplement called Daily Complete. Doesn't seem to bother me. When I called the manufacturer I was told it should be fine.
  4. Hmmm. It's quite possible. Since you're new to the game you need to prepare yourself to expect being glutened a few times, unless you get really lucky and avoid all cross contamination possibilities and hidden glutens. I would probably avoid what you ate at least for a while just to be safe, unless you're 100% sure of no gluten (say if you ate fruit or something...
  5. Kettle chips have always made me sick, and others as well. Don't eat them. Consider that you may also have allergies to soy or corn, or even both.
  6. Nerves and insomnia for days on end. Boy does that sound very familiar. I've seen my share of both, and for me it also takes several days to get over it after ingesting some gluten. Something you may want to try to help with that if it happens again is eating some celery and a raw garlic clove. It has helped me through some long nights. Also a banana...
  7. When in doubt you know what to do. Until you find some confirmation, I would avoid it. Besides, there are alternatives. CM's regular spiced rum is gluten free.
  8. It's not the first GV product to have the gluten-free label removed, and I don't think it will be the last either. I don't know why they're doing it, but they are. I've always used Tyson chicken breasts without problems.
  9. Before you drink that diet soda, do yourself a huge favor and google "aspartame."
  10. It could have gluten in it. But I would also look at why you're needing to take it in the first place. Perhaps you've gotten into something else. I get migraines if I get a hold of something with soy.
  11. I buy Dunkin Donuts coffee and use my keurig to make it. My favorite coffee drink.
  12. Yeah, don't eat 'em. Every time I've tried them I've reacted. The bag doesn't deserve the gluten free label that is put on them.
  13. People having problems with this should try their cereal without cow's milk and see if it makes a difference. Rice and almond milk are better alternatives.
  14. I used Bob's Red Mill flours often for the past few months and haven't noticed anything. I wouldn't doubt that it is possible for you to have run into a contamination issue. Make sure it is at least labeled "gluten-free." Not all their flour is labeled gluten free, like the corn flour, though I have tried it and didn't notice any reactions there either.
  15. Eating raw garlic and avoiding sugar is very helpful, not to mention a natural alternative to medication. Open Original Shared Link
