  1. This winter seems to be pretty harsh on me already asthma-wise, and i'm not sure why! Everyday walking to and from school (i got just over a mile walk--about 3 miles in total) I have to take at least 1 of 2 puffs (usually 2)... Even during the fall with allergies, it wasnt nearly as bad. But now even tho its only been between -5 C to -15 C (usually ...
  2. I suggest Kinnikinnick breads or anything else they make. They bread looks like regular loaf, and once you toast it or even microwave it for a couple minutes its amazingly good, it dont break apart or nothing--stays soft. I live on their products. I'm probably one of their top customers already They are a Canadian company but I know they do ship to...
  3. I'm in Canada, theres no such thing as insurance We have things called drug plans, where you can apply to be covered for 65% of any prescription expenses. Some certain things just arent covered. I dont actually have IBS-D or IBS-C. He's just giving me this for pain relief because I said that Buscopan doesnt help me any (and I can tell Zelnorm is much...
  4. I know I mentioned this in my last post but nobody's replied since so I'm gonna put this in a separate area so everyone sees it... Like I had said, I have now been prescribed Zelnorm which WILL drive me completely broke!! ($150/month, no drug plan covers it)... My pharmacist said it'll probably take a month before my mody accepts the meds... The side affects...
  5. OK well today was my first day of taking Zelnorm...they weren't kidding about the side affects. I've definitely gotten 4: the diahhrea, headache, back pain, and fever Oh I hope I dont have these issues for the next month.... And I dont believe I posted the price: $150/month...and no drug plan covers it ... pretty sad i'll be taking money from a bank...
  6. Thanks Carrie No I havent tried Benedryl for my stomach, i took it in the spring time for allergies a bit, and all I've used for allergies now is taking 1 Aerius which seems to help but dont kill the stomach pains. Oh and I already am dairy/milk-free But thanks for the suggestion anyways. I guess I'll find out on December 2nd what else I'm allergic...
  7. The ones I talked to today seemed quite understanding. Carla said she understands and I have to do it. Barry said that school will always be there, so if I have to retake some classes then I have to retake classes, and that my health has to come first--he said its ok that I didnt do my homework...but next week I'll have the other 3 teachers to tell, blah...
  8. Yeah like some of them are getting mad at me for falling behind and worried I wont catch up. They should just be glad I'm putting all my energy into getting to there classes when I can and that I'm not dropping out or giving up. I will cry, I know it. And right now I dont even care. If someone wants to laugh at me or stare then let them... I must have...

  10. I buy Grimm's and Freybe. They are all gluten-free and lactose free (anything they make). Can you get them where you are located?? Any local grocery store should sell them that I know of..at least here in Saskatchewan anyways ~ lisa ~
  11. Actually...GOOD! I sat for almost 2 hours in the waiting room for him (I guess he had bunch of things to get to in the OR and whatever else)...but at the same time its nuts!! He asked about my history and I said that I have Celiac already and that since January I've been in constant bad pain and that even eating gluten-free dont help make the...
  12. Yes, I hope one of these 2 specialists can figure out what it is toooo. I guess they dont like the fact of driving like 11 hours and then having to make it a 2 day trip?? but I mean this isnt just for fun. Blah. For now I'll just ignore their stupidness and countdown the next 67 days ~ lisa ~
  13. The time I went to Winnipeg and had to eat gluten-free I ate at Moxie's, they kinda made a special dish for me. Hope that helps ~ lisa ~

  15. First you drink a large class of chalk--well its not chalk, but it TASTES like chalk. Its very thick/bitter...the taste still haunts me There is no set time for the test. It all depends on how long the barium takes to get down to the area of the stomach they are examining..they keep periodically taking you in for a few xrays to see how far down the...
  16. Well we do use antibacterial soap (at home, and I do here in Yorkton) but I always have to wear gloves when doing dishes so I dont actually contact the soap...and the other one I use is Dove for Sensative Skin so that dont eat up my skin either Hopefully you guys can find this in the U.S.!! ~ Lisa ~
  17. My hands are super dry this winter already, they never get this bad. They are so dry they are raw and nearly bleed and make me look all wrinkly. Anyways I went home this weekend so I went to my drugstore and I think I buy 99% of the products under 1 brand name (in fact it was me who suggested they get it in in the first place haha), but they DID have the...

  19. I guess on monday someone had called to my house to book for allergy tests in Regina, but obviously i'm not in Canora at the moment. So mom gave me the #, and I called yesterday... My allergy tests are going to be on Dec 1! Which isnt too horribly bad of a wait i guess. Last time they were a 2 day test...but this is a different dude and she said its just...
