  1. Nope. thats the problem, I really only have that symptom very periodically. So by the time I got to him, it was gone. *sighs* Calgary cant come soon enough ~ lisa ~
  2. No actually another 46 days til Foothills. The guy today was just useless. He was some family doc i never saw before and he gave me a couple prescriptions of things I've had before and said "not much this Canora doctor can do" (which really is true if you think about it). And that was it. And he was sympathetic, he said "thats gotta be rough for you" -- at...
  3. Thanks hun! I'm still not feeling any better--still cant sleep, still cant barely eat, still in awful pain. So tomorrow will have to do I guess As long as i get something for the pain, it dont even matter to me already what they give me or what testing they do. Because its totally making school impossible to focus... I PROMISE I will post in the...
  4. Hmm does that mean I missed the cut-off? ~ lisa ~
  5. That is interesting. What fruits do you usually avoid? I pretty much each no fruits tho since most of them bother me, but i guess that could be the answer why (and i guess i'll ask my allergist that question next friday!) ~ lisa ~
  6. My mom called...soonest I can get in is 9:10 Thurs morning. that means I gotta miss my one class tomorrow but oh well...I wish I didnt have to go to school today . That mile walk right now is gonna be awful ~ lisa ~
  7. I know I rant about this stuff here a lot, but I havent been in this much pain in a while, if ever. i dont know what happened. I didnt get contaminated somehow because the extreme diarrhea started in the morning. even when I wasnt eating/drinking I was emptying. And then I tried to eat again and some stayed in me but on my walk to school yesterday I almost...
  8. somewhere on this board is the link to a huge pdf file with lists of a LOT of safe foods/etc from canada, from 2005, and clubhouse was listed in there. unfortunately i cant remember where it was ~ lisa ~
  9. I finally found Perky-Os and I only bought the Apple Cinnamon once, those are actually good. they are sweeter if you add sugar. Maybe you should try those? ~ lisa ~
  10. Ok great, I'll write it up later(maybe even during my breaks in school). And everything with me as crappy as always, no better no worse ~ lisa ~
  11. I'm reading this post very late...is the idea still a go? I'll write a letter about lynne!! ~ lisa ~
  12. I've been on Dapsone for a couple of years now (dont remember when I started exactly). the only days I dont take it is when i'm no nauscious that i'm afraid i wont be able to keep it down (which happens quite often this year). i'm so sensative to dairy and ESPECIALLY gluten that even just the slightest bit of accidental contact will flare up DH. In fact when...
  13. I buy the one with rice bran. never seen the other one. my favourite tho is penne. I eat a LOT of macaroni and penne that Tinkyada makes (enough that I order 20 lbs of bulk). Best purchases ever haha ~ lisa ~
  14. Oh that's so awesome!! I'm also one of those was very sensative skin and insane sensativity to gluten so it'd be nice to know which soaps, lotions, shampoos etc we can use without having to spend a zillion dollars or specialist shampoos/hand lotions/etc!! Yay for Canadians, eh? ~ lisa ~
  15. No my lactose intollerance hits me almost immediately. I pretty much gotta know where the bathroom is in a place if I have a little dairy. Even the 1/2 cup a day rule is too much for me sometimes. They always say that after going gluten/dairy free for a while you can tolerate lactose again...I hope you are one of those fortunate ones because i'm not ...
  16. Unfortunately its the only place i could find in this town. The other places were dumps are much more than I could afford. I'm only gonna be here til the end of April. then its back to my parents place and then off to one of the actual cities. But maybe I could get my dosage increased or something for the remainder of my time here... ~ lisa ~
  17. Hmm you know what I just realized...could my asthma have gotten worse because I'm living in a basement (and have molde allergies) and my landlady has a cat, maybe I'm allergic to cats? ~ lisa ~
  18. Yes I thought so too, I clearly have too much time on my hands haha. its some well dressed gluten-free product, eh? ~ lisa ~
  19. Check it out, i bet it will sell millions http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v481/num1habfan/habs.webp ~ lisa ~
  20. EnerG is an american company yes?? I believe I looked them up. Thats my issue--I'd have to pay a lot higher prices (and shipping costs) if I ordered it from here in Canada!! (while with Kinnikinnick its the $10 flat rate)... I've rarely been able to find any EnerG products..just some of the junk food. I didnt even know they made bread ~ lisa ~
  21. I honestly only eat Kinnikinnick breads. I eat a LOT of sandwiches and thats the only bread that stays nice and soft and together when toasted/microwaved (and its the size of like a normal slice of bread). I also like the fact that they have a points system thats similar to mastercard--the more you spend the more points you earn and then you can redeem the...
  22. the only home-made pie crust I've made is El peto (or is it El Pito? i can never remember ). It says to roll it out and then put it between ez wrap or whatever and roll it with a rolling pin...but that didnt work so well--it fell apart. (theres actually a warning on the box that says kneeding it will not help make it any better dough). So honestly I built...
  23. Exactly!! I think only us Saskatchewan residents can understand why I'm worried about my asthma. You know what its like...usually winter from September to April, then spring in May, summer in June/half of July, and half of July/August in fall Well i see my asthma doc in regina again in January so maybe i'll wait til then to discuss this with a doc......
  24. Oh well I was on Flovent for a year and then just this past fall he put me on Advair(125) because I was having more asthma attacks from basically no reason. But I hate relying on Ventolin so much. I guess maybe its because usually during the winter I get rides, and this year I walk. But still. Its scary to think what would happen if I left my Ventolin somewhere...
  25. What do you mean by that exactly? ~ lisa ~
