ARCHIVED Do You Eat gluten-free Oatmeal?
twe0708 replied to StClair's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I eat Bob's Red Mill gluten-free every morning. And yes, I mean every morning. I don't think it is giving me any problems and I don't know what I would do if I couldn't eat it for breakfast bc what other options would I have, I'm a very picky eater. I do on occasion have stomach cramps but can't tell if it's from the eggs or oatmeal, or if something... -

I just got my vitamin D levels back and my doc said I could keep taking 1000 i.u of Vit. D. But my Vitamin D, 1,25 is at 75 and the range is 18-72. I think, if I remember right, he said this meant by body was producing enough vitamin D, but now it sounds like too much, even though I'm really not taking vitamin supplements - maybe for a few days and then...

No corticosteroids now or in the past. Attached is a link with someone else and their neck. My is not as bad as this but if you google more images you will see how bad it could get. Open Original Shared Link Scroll down to bottom of page where they show the lady before and after. Mine isn't as bad but there is something there. I can't believe...

No Karen it hasn't gotten worse. I did go to the doctor 2 years ago and they ran some tests that came back fine. I'm just trying to figure out what others have experienced. Is this ok with you? I'm just trying to figure out if I need to return to the doctor to see if other problems are starting due to Cushings.
-
Thanks. I've already researched the information online. I came up with Cushings bc I haven't found any other illness out there that produces a hump on your back. I'm just curious what others who have this have experienced.
-
Does anyone have this and can this be treated? I noticed a small hump below the back of my neck which I know is a symptom of Cushing Syndrome but was wondering if I go to the doctor, is there something they can do to keep me from getting worse? I have also started putting on more weight on the upper body.

Does or has anyone has any problems with their teeth becoming translucent? Half way down my teeth they are becoming translucent and you can see a slight grey line when you look closely. I also notice it when taking pictures and the upper part of my front teeth are solid white.

ARCHIVED Exhausted By The End Of The Day
twe0708 replied to twe0708's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Thank you for all the replies. It's good to know this is normal for my age. -
Is anyone else exhausted by the end of the day? I work full-time and enjoy working. I have no problems getting up early but I like to be home on the weekends no later than 10:00 bc I am usually tired by 9, so 10 is pushing it. I'm sure it has something to do with all my vitamin levels still being off but my husband doesn't seem to understand why I can...

I have had 2 bone scans. I was diagnosed with osteopenia too. I just started having problems with my left hip. I wonder if this is connected to the osteopenia. I wonder if anyone has had to have veneers due to their teeth getting so bad or what other options are out there.
-
Has anyone noticed a problem with the color of their teeth? It's kind of hard to explain, but I recently noticed my teeth aren't as white as they use to be. When I look closely at them, I notice half way down my front top teeth, it looks like the bottom half are becoming transparent and the top half are still solid white. Does or has anyone else had this...

ARCHIVED Any Tips On Controlling Anxiety And Depression?
twe0708 replied to HumanDecency's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I had anxiety before being diagnosed with Celiac but have been fine since going gluten free. Maybe take a look at what you are eating and go from there. You may need to pick 5 foods and eat those for a week and then introduce another food item each week. -
It depends on what you are eating. I had to stop eating apples because they were causing me problems. I would be careful about taking medicine because there was just a news report about a husband who received medicine for acid reflux and he thought he was good to go until he ended up with esophageal cancer after taking the medicine for a few years. I think...

ARCHIVED Looking For A Good Probiotic

Thanks Greenbeanie, Do these have to be refrigerated? I heard that a good probiotic should be kept in the refrigerator. -

I great way to get your fruit in is to make a fruit smoothie. I purchase a magic bullet and love it. I add about 5 strawberries, 7 blackberries, one banana, and a handful of spinach that you get in the salad section. Add a half of cup of crushed ice and water and mix. It is so good and you can't taste the spinach. I also do the same with vegetable -... -
ARCHIVED Looking For A Good Probiotic

What is a good probiotic. I am trying to heal my body and heard that a good probiotic would help. I developed tonsil stones this past year and read something about intestinal cleansing and that probiotics are a good start. Thanks. -
ARCHIVED What's The Normal Reaction To Eating Gluten After Being gluten-free Celiac For Almost Two Years
twe0708 replied to Gabybelle's topic in Super Sensitive People
I get very sick too if I eat something containing gluten. One cookie will make me vomit and put me in bed for 4 to 5 hours. It's feels like I have the flu. I think everyone is different but I don't hear of a lot of people having reactions like you and I do. In a way I am glad I have this type of reaction because I NEVER cheat. Now if I could only be... -
KikiB, Not sure if your reaction is normal for most but for me that is normal. If I eat something that contains gluten, I have about 30 to 45 minutes to get home before I get really sick and end up in bed for the day. I ate out at 5 Guys the other day and within 30 minutes of eating it was like I had taken a very strong laxative and that was just form...

ARCHIVED Left Side Limb Pain, Numbness
twe0708 replied to pondy's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
About two years ago I started experiencing tingling on the tops of my feet when I applied lotion. A year ago I had a bad kink in my neck and couldn't move for two days. It felt like a pinched nerve and it wasn't muscle related. I had to be very careful not to turn my neck as well as the rest of my body the pain was so bad. A year later I had the same problem... -
