  1. I have been gluten-free for only just over two weeks, so I don't have a "favorite" bread name that I can pass on to you. The only bread I have tried is tapioca bread. It was terrible. I tried making a bologna sandwich with it, and managed to choke down half of it and threw the rest away. Someone said to make bread crumbs out of it, but I can't...
  2. I am new to the gluten-free diet myself, starting day 11 today. It's going to take some time to really get used to it, but the results I've gotten from being on the diet are so good that it far outweighs my desire to go back to eating bread, pasta, etc. with gluten. I spend double the time in the grocery store than I used to, because I'm reading labels...
  3. Hello, I'm new to this board myself so I really can't give any advice, but I can tell you that I, too, have recently started a gluten-free diet on my own. I am 10 days into the diet and have already noticed a major change in my "bathroom issues" to put it as delicately as possible. I have had these "issues" for 10 years. Only in the last 2 years...

Even their apple/walnut salad has gluten! About the only things I can eat there would...

But we went out to dinner with another couple Sunday night and I had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, thinking that would be fine. Nope. It wasn't. Major stomach/bathroom...
  6. Wow, I could have started this same topic!! I, too, am just over a week into my gluten free diet and Sunday night we went to Bennigan's for dinner with another couple. There was so much on the menu that I knew I couldn't have, so I figured a Caesar salad with grilled chicken would be all right. I even picked off the croutons. I was wrong. I had "D" ...
  7. Hello everyone. I hope you don't mind me joining your group. I need all the facts, help and support I can get. I have had "bathroom issues" (to put it as nicely as possible) for 10 years. About a year ago I finally talked to my doctor about it and she said it is probably Irritable Bowel Syndrome and I started taking Bentyl. It helps, but not really...
