  1. Thank you so much! I just ordered the brown rice spaghetti, at $3.49 each and $8.00 something shipping, which appears to be the best deal around. Can't wait until they get here to try them. I am Italian and MISS MY PASTA !!!!!!!
  2. Thanks to both of you. I hated to order and find out I hated the product!!!! I am learning so much here!
  3. I am glad for that information, as well. I see by your postings, that you are type1 diabetic, as I am. Just adds to the fun, doesn't it?
  4. I am about to order some tinkiyada pasta, but wasn't sure which one was the best. Brown or white rice? I was thinking of ordering from Gluten Smart, which seemed to have a good deal on the package price, I think it was $3.59 each. Is that about the going price? Thanks for the help!
  5. That is nothing. At my table for the holidays will be: Me-Celiac, Oldest daughter-Celiac, Son-in-law- low fat due to issues after a gallbladder removal, step-son-refuses to have pork at the table (don't know WHY), my sister-in-law's husband is lactose intolerant, my daughter-in-law is ALLERGIC to dairy. My youngest daughter's boyfriend's son is sensitive...
  6. Kinda depends on how "sick" you were, or how long you actually had the disease. I had mine for approximately 5 years. However, I ate very little gluten/bread, as I am a type 1 diabetic. I DID have serious joint and muscle pain. I am a little over one month gluten free, and the pain is lessened, but NOT disappeared yet.. I know for a fact I am still low on...
  7. I think it depends on how sick you were with Celiac, and how much gluten you were imbibing previously. (Before diagnosis). Here was my reaction recently...... I am fairly new to these boards, and was diagnosed a month ago (after being sick for 6 years). I was doing fine on the gluten-free mode, until I went to my-in-laws in another city. They KNOW I...
  8. Well, one thing you can do is add a 1:1 ratio of magnesium/calcium. You need magnesium to get the calcium INTO the bones, as much as you do Vitamin D. If you cannot tolerate magnesium in a pill because it gives you the runs, then try a good topical magnesium. Yes they really do work, and I saw an ER doctor tell a patient to apply 3 x a day, and then he explained...
  9. Before I got a diagnosis, (from the antibodies), I had been having elevated c-reactive protein lab results. (Should be 0-o.5), mine had been 4-6. All of a sudden it went way up to 9.2, and I was feeling lousy. My GP suspected Celiacs when he saw that result, of course the antibodies confirmed. I have been gluten free since oct. 7th, and I am hoping the CRP...
  10. Do yourself a favor and never walk into GN_. They know NOTHING. Go to a reputable Health store and make a list. YOU/I NEED PROBIOTICS- multi-culture pills. You/I have dysbiosis ( bad function of the tummy). You/I need something to calm down the intestinal tract- Royal Jelly. You/I need sub-lingual liquid B vitamins, multi-vitamins, Vit D topical magnesium...
  11. You know, you are right. Oddly enough, this is not the first time this thing has happened to me. It took me years to get a diagnosis with my pituitary tumor. Someone "skipped" over an abnormal lab result. And, I am a squeeky wheel. Hate to think what some people don't get diagnosed with, until it is too late. thanks you for the replies!
  12. One thing for sure, if you get off all yeast producing food items, it will help. You probably need to be on a good probiotic regimen. Start off at one pill a day, and up it to 3 pills a day. Eat plain multi-strain yogurt, (organic if you can). Eliminate wine, grapes and all yeast containing foods. I can tell you as a nurse, all OBs would recommend this regimen...
  13. That is exactly what I think, as well. Why waste time with something we already know? I am glad to have bounced that off of someone else, so I appreciate your response.
  14. Yep. It messed with me too, but I am a type 1 diabetic. It is like eating pure mashed potatoes, for me.
  15. You also can use magnesium "gel" which I apply every day. Dr. Dean recommends this if you reach your tolerance.
  16. Hello everyone, I am a brand new member here and I am in need of help. I had food allergy testing done over 2 years ago. I kept calling to get results, only to be told the allergist was no longer with the clinic, and my results were "fine". I pushed it but got nothing. Asked for the lab results to be sent to me, as I am a nurse, and they said it is not their...
