  1. yes that's fine to copy it! i think the IgG panel tests are ok to give you a guideline, but honestly i didn't know what all i react to until i started the specific carb diet and tried things one at a time.
  2. i'm hoping to be able to cook with the dried baby lima beans i just bought from wal mart. the Great Value Brand customer service rep said there is no wheat in the facility but there are barley, rye, and oats. it is processed on a separate line, which is good. but - should i be worried about the possibility of anything becoming airborne?? or am i good to go...
  3. has anyone taken a supplement of butyric acid like this one Open Original Shared Link i got a test done that says my gut ecology is lacking in any sort of helpful bacterias that make butyric acid. it's supposed to help heal the intestines and prevent cancer. wondering if supplement form works, or if i would need to have the actual bacteria present, like...
  4. yes i agree, everyone should eat less wheat than the S.A.D. usually includes. ESPECIALLY people who have a person with celiac in their family, which means they prob have higher levels on zonulin too!!
  5. i agree with riceguy about supplementation during healing! also here's an article about some symptoms that might be related to a yeast overgrowth, seems somewhat common with celiacs Open Original Shared Link
  6. hi 1. you are definitely reacting to transglutaminase, so that is a big marker for celiac as i understand it. however the "gold standard" in the medical world for diagnosing celiac is a small intestine biopsy. i think that's crap and never got it done, i just went by my enterolab results and the million other clues that i was celiac. so yes i say i officially...
  7. hehe you guys are awesome thanks i needed to hear that.
  8. i agree that it has to do with the vagus nerve and immune system- i get it too. definitely don't eat things that you know make it worse. (unless you think it's a healing symptom, like some people get rapid heartbeat after eating coconut oil and say it's because the oil's a natural anti-fungal so you're having die-off of pathogenic bacteria in the gut. i'm...
  9. it sounds like u might have a little problem with a small hiatal hernia - there is a lot of information out there about it but it is treatable in some people, and i recommend the book Hiatal Hernia Syndrome by theodore baroody, even though it's old it has helpful info. the pain is in the L side of your neck right? i've struggled with the same thing, i...
  10. Hey Dad- How was your flight? Hey I was wondering if I could explain something to you a little more thoroughly than I have... 1. My first thing is: the reason I ask you to please be careful how you phrase things regarding my healing process. For instance, asking for (or making) estimations about my progress - it's tricky because from what I am...
  11. hi Eric i also feel there is a candida connection to celiac at least in some cases when you did the program did u eat fruit? what program did you do- was it Healing Naturally by Bee? thanks
  12. thank you girls i'll add it to my list of supplements to introduce - trying to do everything one at a time and see if i react... but it sounds like it may work quite well!
  13. i'm thinking about taking an amino acid called glutamine to help repair my intestines. this is from the Great Plains Laboratory website: In celiac disease, there is also an increase in the blood of antibodies to wheat. There is also a marked increase in antibodies called endomysial antibodies. The exact nature of the endomysial antigen has recently been...
  14. you might call Great Plains Lab and ask what tests to have for celiac. ask your doc but i would do a complete blood panel to see about nutritional deficiencies like iron poor blood, potassium, B12 etc. if you do that you could also ask for the fat-soluble vitamins since some celiacs are low in those. or better yet if you have a more naturopathicly minded...
  15. one more thought from my enzyme scientist friend- i THINK he's saying there would be a theoretical way that what the fungi ingests would effect the make-up of the enzyme it creates... "enzymes will bind additional substrates to themselves at other locations other than the active site, also called allosteric binding sites. These sites, once occupied,...
  16. thank you guys for your feedback! i'm still checking all this out and deciding what i think yes maltodextrin is corn derived in the US - i react to corn as well as gluten so for me that's an issue... the gluten would come in to play because the organisms the enzyme companies use to are placed onto a food source mixture which includes grains. then...
  17. i'm sorry i forgot to state the source! one website is: Open Original Shared Link
  18. ...if someone sees regression with gluten + enzymes, particularly strong proteases such as Peptizyde, they are advised to consider celiac as a possibility. One mother knew her children reacted to gluten among many, many other foods. She started giving Peptizyde and Zyme Prime and carefully re-introducing foods one at a time and noted the reactions. For a...
  19. me too!! i used to lay down at night and the MINUTE i'd drift off to sleep i'd wake up- FREEZING! no matter how many layers and blankets i had on. my roommates thought i was crazy because i kept asking if someone gets up around 11 or 12 and turns the air down - but now that doesn't happen to me any more! so it must have been the gluten. or, someone decided...
  20. i noticed reactions to some of the intolerances (corn, peanut, soy, nightshades, rice) and the rest of the foods i'm avoiding (almonds, eggs, yeast, most nuts) showed up on an IgG test I had done from Immunolabs. My Enterolabs results also said that i do in fact react to yeast, soy and dairy. i too am super ultra sensitive to even a micro amount of...
  21. hi everyone i was wondering if i need to worry about cross contam with my other intolerances like i do with gluten? does anyone get sick from their food TOUCHING things like corn, soy, dairy, nightshades, peanuts, etc... or is that only a gluten thing? right now i'm being super crazy about gluten, and then just not eating things with my other intolerances...
  22. jackay- i'm sry to hear about the tricky symptoms. do you to a rotation diet? have you eliminated all suspect lectins for a good amt of time before introducing one at a time? is the reason for sleep insomnia or a busy/stressful schedule? just wondering and hoping i might somehow be able to help
  23. thank u lynayah! ok i've decided to jump on board and will start the diet in one week! chatycady-i'm working on reversing osteopenia as well- good luck at the doc!! what brand of honey do you guys use on SCD? i heard raw was best? i'm a little nervous i'll buy a brand that was harvested by a wheat field and get reactions...
