  1. Hi, Sue, Toronto has plenty of options for celiacs. It is such a big city that I don't know even half of them, I'm sure. I live in Unionville, but my business is on Yonge north of Lawrence. Most of the places I know about are north and east. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link ...
  2. The tag is not enabled on this board. You can create a link on which people can click using [ url ]. As in click here. Click the BB Code Help button at the bottom right of the window when composing a post for specifics. Congratulations on your first week! The muffins look lovely.
  3. Good evening, friends. Amanda, what a frightening experience you had. I am so happy to hear that you survived that. Much has transpired in the last two days with regard to our staffing challenges. I can't share anything in a public space, but something I did not expect has developed. Don't rule out silly Peter in Philly just yet. The forecast...
  4. Wonderful news for both of you. I used to travel a lot because of work. I haven't been on a plane since 2005. That was for a business trip to California (Long Beach). I was never worried about the flight itself--the most dangerous part of the trip is the drive to the airport. But with all the b*lls**t about security the experience is at best unpleasant. Once...
  5. Happy birthday!
  6. Well, the basic dog-treat version is pretty close to round. I also have them curled into coils like a spring, and braided in pairs like you might do with hair. Drop by my shop and I'll show you some pizzles. Some things have happened that are making it look like I will not be able to make the Philly Psilly Psession. As you all know, our employee...
  7. They are also dog treats. We sell them. The treats are also known as bullwrinkles, and as steer sticks. Full size they are almost 30 inches, but are popular when cut into 12- 8- or 5-inch pieces.
  8. Hello, Sillies, Another beautiful afternoon, and I'm out on the deck with three furry friends (Tuppence is inside for some reason). And where is Sarah? I speak of Silly Sarah--I know where our wayward employee Sarah is. That Sarah is due August 2. They must be working Amanda hard. She has gone more than 24 hours without posting, although I...
  9. I don't know about anybody else, but I don't leave my balls unprotected out in the yard where children can grab them. I would for sure be nuts to do that. 2oC here overnight, with a wind chill (in May??) of -2.
  10. There isn't really anything I can add to what Emily said. It is sad to see something like that, and know what lies ahead. But she's in denial and there is really nothing anybody can do to force her to change. Arrrrrggggh! The weather forecast for tonight contains the words "frost warning."

  12. That is an incredible amount of sugar in one place! But, is it gluten-free? Inquiring minds want to know.
  13. Good morning afternoon! Not much happening here. A bright sunny but rather cool day here.
  14. As usual, I seem to be late to the party. Happy Birthday!
  15. Is somebody's mind in the gutter? Twas Tom who first mentioned this device, and I recall posting a clarification about. It is a relative of <control>Z, another useful device. I use the Magic Triangle very phrequently. Wait, I just reread your statement. The Magic Triangle is all about going back.
  16. The secret location of the Magic Triangle has, I believe, previously been posted in this thread. It would be spamming the board to repeat it, now wouldn't it? Just start at the beginning and read carefully, paying particular attention to posts by males.
  17. Lack of testosterone will definitely affect John's libido. That is why he is not interested in having sex. It may be a factor in his lack of desire to do other things as well. It doesn't offer any insight into why he would rather eat fast food out, so there are some other issues. But I would focus on the testosterone level. That is a major physiological...
  18. Amanda, I have seen just about everything discussed in the time I've been here. This topic is fine. I am at work, and can't spend much time, but you have had some excellent advice already. I agree, it is critical to determine whether meds are truly the problem, or whether there is something else. My heart goes out to you.
  19. Good morning, friends. Just a quick scoot by on my way to breakfast, and then another day of work gainful employment at the store. As Arnold said, "I'll be back."
  20. Oh yeah. It was worth ten cents a hundred years ago. It is worth at least ten times that today, which is a whole Canadian Dollar, or 1.0119 US as of today's close. Gas is 1.259 a litre today where I live. I can travel about 7 km (4.3 miles). Hmm. Philadelphia is about 500 miles away. I need to find a lot more lucky dimes.
  21. The top eight allergens must, by law, be disclosed either in the ingredient list, or in a "contains" message which is in type no smaller than the ingredient list. Some companies do both, but the law requires only one or the other. You must still read the full ingredient list and look for a "contains" statement.
  22. This is about an amazing thing that happened tonight. As most of you know, Jacquie and I own a retail store that sells pet food and supplies. On Fridays, we have one of our part-time staff open, and we come in early afternoon and stay until closing, at 7:00 pm. So, tonight, closing time comes around and I am closing out while Jacquie is tidying...
  23. Yes, the thread is long, long gone, and at least one member was banned and a few others were warned. Ugly, it was. Unfortunately, Karen got drawn into the flame war. Nuff said. More to come on the promised story.
  24. Yes, it was Canadian Karen, the Altoids Queen.
  25. I have something exciting to share. I'll read up to date, and then post it. It has to do with your faithful King and old money.
