  1. It is possible but I am not willing to chance it with a 3 year old who can't really pinpoint an anaphylactic reaction. Maybe as he gets older but not now.
  2. They get it from other suppliers so they don't know if they are produced with nuts/peanuts I knew it was too good to be true!
  3. Thanks, I have emailed them and will let you know what I find out! I like that they are (relatively) local and organic. My dream come true so I am sure it is not going to work
  4. I am wondering if anyone here has a source for gluten-free flours or grains that are not processed in a facility with nuts/peanuts? Thanks
  5. Pac, this is exactly what my issue is. We have a long list of my sons food allergies. He is 100% asymptomatic for celiacs though. How would I know if he was improving (blood test alone to see if his TGG is down?) We found the + blood testing because we saw an endocrinologist for something totally different. I am just so against doing a biopsy. I...
  6. Our GI Dr. is insisting on a biopsy. From what I read, the results are not 100%. What is the accuracy rate of it? My son is only 3 and the idea of doing a test with anything less than 80-90% accuracy is not a test I am interested in. Any statistics are appreciated!
  7. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was looking for things like baking mixes and flours as well as pastas.
  8. My 3 y/o (not yet going on the potty) some times has what I can only say is a sand like substance in his poop from time to time. Any idea what this could be? Is it a sign of celiacs? We are still in the testing phase of things and trying to determine if we should do the biopsy.
  9. Thanks for all the input! As I am looking more and more I see some options but it just doesn't seem like much. If we have to go gluten-free (still trying to navigate the tests) all the packaged stuff requires eggs or milk and butter and stuff which we can't do.
  10. I am wondering why I *need* to biopsy . His first blood test was + (173 when it is suppose to be less than 30 I believe). This Dr. won't do the genetic test till after the biopsy but I just don't see putting a 3 yea old through it. There is no family history and he has no S&S (though he has always had loose stools). Since the treatment is a gluten...
  11. Jenn, I know, right? We are having a second opinion by a Dr.who does the genetic test before biopsy. My son has no real signs of it at all actually. We found this on accident w=because of the Vit. D issue.
  12. In my research (which I will admit is not extensive) I am not seeing a lot of organic options for gluten-free flours and products. If my son (3 yo) does have it it seems like I am going to have to choose between gluten-free and organic and I HATE that! I have spent the last 3 years of his life being very mindful of what and where his food comes from. I...
  13. We are in the waiting stage here too. This is the second Celiacs panel they are doing to r/o a lab error (and to appease me too I believe). The Dr. would NOT to the genetic test as I asked her to. We have other issues we were getting blood work done for (my son had a zero Vit. D level and has been on an supplement for a month so they are rechecking those...
  14. Hello! This is my first post and I have a question. My 3 year old son recently had a + TTG test result. We went to the gastro and she wants to biopsy. I am not sure I want to do that. I am thinking of calling the gastro and insisting on the genetic test before I will even consider the biopsy. I have been told that IF the genetic test is - that there...
