  1. I definitely agree the two are connected. My doctor can't agree with me because there isn't research to back it up, but I didn't have all that many Celiac symptoms before my gallbladder was removed after 2 major attacks (a few months apart, oddly enough). Post-surgery, though I began experience any and every symptom of Celiac. I'm not sure how, but having...
  2. Hypothetically, if my Excedrin expired in, say, January 2009, do you think I should take it anyway? Quandary.

  5. SO excited to see The Weepies tonight at the Guthrie Theater!!

  6. Today's highlights: the Tin Fish has gluten free food, our shopping escapade uptown was nothing less than epic, and I convinced a coffee shop owner that he should make and sell gluten free baked goods.

  7. It really does depend on the person, but the fact that you're noticing any change at all is a very good sign. It may just be that your system is taking longer to heal, which can take as long as a few months, but is truly worth the wait. It also may be that you're accidentally consuming gluten, possibly through cross-contamination or another source, which...

  11. Happy Birthday Abby Boggs-Johnson!! I know I've already told you twice, but now I'm making my birthday wish Facebook official. :) Love you!

  12. Really, the college doesn't have any gluten free options? Wow. I had a ton of ideas for you until I got down to reading your other allergies. I use corn tortillas for a lot of things, but that wouldn't work for you if you can't handle corn. How about rice? Rice is quick, easy, and cheap. Potatoes are inexpensive, too. A baked potato in the microwave...

  17. I'm not sure yet what I think about "Curb Your Enthusiasm" ...

  18. Well tacos are pretty greasy, which can upset a damaged digestive system. Since you've just started, I would suggest staying away from restaurants until you have a gluten-free routine down. If it makes you feel any better, my body reacted oddly during my first week as well. Just give it time and stick to foods that you know for sure are gluten free
  19. Sometimes my pug makes me think of the old man baby in Benjamin Button.

  20. Happy 1 year anniversary Abby Boggs-Johnson and Brent Johnson!! :)

  21. For $150, I wouldn't do it, but I think would do it for a lot more money.
  22. I have definitely had dreams like that! I'm always part-way through eating something that very obviously contains gluten (like cereals or pasta) and then I realize it (in the dream) and get really mad at myself for being so dumb, lol
  23. Gluten free isn't as hard as it sounds. I was really worried too, because I used to be the person that would have meals of bread & butter, lol, but after some time passed, it got a lot easier. Plus, I felt SO much better after just a couple of weeks. It's definitely worth a try! My advice is to stick to natural foods first: meat, vegetables, fruit, and...
