  1. Hi Lisa , How did you find out about having an intolerance to nightshades by an elimination diet or did you work it out yourself or something ? I really hope I can get to know my body properly soon lol.
  2. I laughed at the ? Plus, banning gluten from your diet can be really hard ? . It can be hard but we Celiac's have to eliminate gluten to stop being ill. I never understood why people think gluten free diet is a good diet to lose weight :S Ever since I have been on the gluten free diet I have gained weight not lost weight Lol
  3. Cool, I also found this site Open Original Shared Link , I e-mailed earlier and got a quick reply I was told the product is only a few months old and they didn't have many distributers at the moment , she said I could buy a pack of 10 kits at the distributers price if I liked. But 10 kits is too much for me I hope soon the product is easily available to...
  4. Has anyone ever tried GLUTENTOX STICKS I just found this website the other day looks very useful . Open Original Shared Link
  5. That is really bad luvs2eat It's ridiculous for the doctor to say something like that . I just don't get why some doctor's are so unhelpfull. I think doctor's should only get paid if they help the patient that might help get rid of the stupid doctor's lol. Good job your daughter sent a letter and I hope her other symptoms have improved
  6. Aphreal,
  7. Thanks precious831 , sorry to hear about your stupid doctor that was a really horrible comment he said to you Good job you ditched the doctor and I hope your achilles tendon is 100 % better , when I saw a back doctor for the 1st time he asked me a few questions and after I answered he said the pain was in my mind without even examining my back lol ,...
  8. Hi ravenwoodglass , Thanks for the advice and the great idea. It's ridiculous a doctor can say things like what he said I thought doctor's were suppose to be supportive. I guess I have been lucky have a decent doctor for the last 7 years, I am worried if any newly diagnosed Coeliac's have to see the same doctor. I have eliminated potatoes as I found...
  9. I have been having stomach pain my stomach doctor said it's not connected to being Ceilac. So I went back to my stomach doctor today and he was on holiday . What happened next was probably the worst stomach doctor appointment I ever had . Basically he said some stupid harsh comments and I got so annoyed. I think I was lucky to leave the hospital without...
  10. Thanks for the reply Sweetfudge , the test sounds like a great idea to prove it I will try it sometime. Thanks for the information on sweet potatoes that's really cool as I didn't know if they were alright lol , I ate a lot of sweet potatoes in the past there great. It's a shame about the doctor's and it's really annoying they don't go out of what they...
  11. Bennie my doctor is gastro same doctor I have been seeing since I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2003.
  12. Thanks for the advice mushroom . Cool thanks for the elimination diet advice I will look into it GFinDC. Lucia
  13. I'm sorry people say that , I don't really remember anyone saying that to me lately , but I would get very annoyed if someone said that to me as Celiac has caused me a lot of other health problems. If they had something seriously wrong I would just try and change subject but if they had nothing or small problems just explain how ill you get if you accidentally...
  14. Thanks for the replies . Lucia
  15. Does anyone have a Potato Intolerance ? I have been getting stomach pain for maybe the last year and a half , I stick to the gluten-free diet properly and my doctor said the problem is not connected to being gluten-free . He did some tests to see if I had accidentally eaten gluten and the tests came back saying I had not had any gluten, don't know how the...
  16. That's a good idea themick33 , avoiding gluten can be very difficult so it's definitely a very good achievement to be proud of
  17. Cider is what I drink the most . I recommend Magners or Kopparberg Pear Cider
  18. Ask your doctor for Mebeverine also known as Colofac. I also find medicine form is better than tablets. My doctor gave me Mebeverine when I first started gluten-free diet seemed to work if I accidentally eat gluten.
  19. Thanks for the replies , I have been on Vitamin D for a year but my level is still not that high my doctor says because im Celiac im probably not absorbing the all the Vitamin D I take could that be right ? Also has anyone had back pain which has been caused by a Vitamin D deficiency ?
  20. I get similar problems when doing stomach muscle exercises , sometimes I get a pain in my stomach straight away other times the pain starts after a few hours , i'm not sure if it's to do with being Celiac or not though .
  21. Hi , i'm new here so not sure if this is the right part of the forum to post this ? I have been Celiac since 2003 and last year my doctor found out I had a Vitamin D deficiency , which was probably caused by me being Celiac. I was just wondering if many other Celiac's here have a Vitamin D deficiency ?
