  1. Hi!Once I read somewhere online that brittle nails with ridges in them are the sign of iron deficiency. I had brittle nail and I was iron deficient. Maybe you can check that. Before I went gluten free I had trouble with acne for 5 years. I found out what was causing mine. It was milk. I reduced the intake of milk product rapidly. Soon I ate somothing with...
  2. Hi! I would like to tell you that you are not alone. I'm also suffering from the dizziness which is worse by exercise, or house work. I'm 7 months gluten free and 6 and half months casein(milk) free. I can tell you for sure that milk isn't the cause of our dizziness. Otherwise I would be cured months ago. I saw three Gastroenterologists, but none knew what...
  3. Hi! I'm just in middle of the tests for the same thing. I'm gluten free for 6 months and casein free for 5 and half. Even after eliminating them I had blothing and gas, but no more diarrhea. 4. Is there any difference between regular upper endoscopy and capsule endoscopy? Do you need to have the regular endoscopy to be diagnosed with celiac disease, or the capsule endoscopy is enough?
  5. I forgot to write about the endoscopy. I was only Marsh 1, but technition wroted as the final report- beginning of celiac disease.
  6. Thank you for your advices. I know that I need to stay on gluten free diet and I'm staying on it. I was just disappointed from the letter that I received because my doctor told me that she will finally tell me, if I have celiac disease, or not. She wanted to see the results from my "special" genetic test (I paid for it $375,--), my son's genetic test(DQ2...

  8. Hi. I just want to tell you that I finished my topic. Please check it one more time. Thank you. I know that genetic test doesn't mean that I have celiac disease, but should the doctor take to the consideration all my symptoms?
  9. Hi I'm disappointed from the letter I got from my doctor at Columbia University Hospital. She received the results from my genetic test(cheeck cells). She told me last time I saw her, that she will tell me, if I have celiac disease when this test will come back positive. She wrote: You tested positive for one of the celiac disease-associated alleles. This...
  10. I knew maybe for 5 years that I was milk intolerant. After i drank a cup of milk, I imediately, or after 15-20 minutes ran to the bethroom(regular, or D). I also had huge pimples like teenagers a day after and bloathing-gas. Just from May 2010 I know that I might have celiac disease. At the beginning doctors didn't believe that I was sick and I went to...
  11. Wow! My doctor told me to take only 1000 UI a day. It looks like it's to low, if I'm taking into consideration my level of the vitamin D.

  13. Hi Everybody! I would like to tell you what have been happening in my life since I have been positive for SIBO. I was on two antibiotics for 14 days (morning and evening). Durring that time I was going to the bethroom 6-10 times a day. I drank water and I went. Uff! It is much better now, only 3-4 times. Which is great. About one week later I got glutened...
  14. I found the symptoms of the Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth. SIBO can mimic the celiac disease. You can have celiac and SIBO too. I look on the internet for symptoms of SIBO, and they are: gas after fruits or sugar- carbs, diarrhea or constipation, abdominal pain. Some patient have chronic constipation rather than diarrhea. With SIBO you will loose vitamins...
  15. Hi! I don't know much about the medical things, but I can just tell you what happened to me. I also had major trouble with digestion of fat and sugar(carbs, even grapes gave me gas and pain). I saw the doctor at the Celiac Center in Columbia University Hospital in New York. She had me tested for the small intestine's bacteria overgrowth. The SIBO can...
  16. Hi! I just got back from the same scan today. I saw my scans from hips too, but I didn't know what should I look for. I think they were white and blueish, or something. I will know the results two days from know. I hope they will turn ok. I didn't have very big damage in my intestines, but I'm vitamin deficient or on the border line (Vitamin D, magnesium...

It's like this with every other e-mail. Some are ok, but others not. Also when I'm trying to replay to posts the same thing will happen. I don't know why. When I work on other...
  19. Hi! I read this, and I just bursted out with laugh. I'm the same way. You are not alone. I also have many allergies and food restrictions. I HOPE that I will loose some of them in the future. I'm praying for it. I'm also 4 months gluten free. I felt very bad for about 3 months. I also had my vitamin panel done. I was borderline on iron, magnesium...
  20. I WOULD LIKE TO ASK ABOUT THE JELLO JELLATINE AND THEIR PUDDING. ARE THEY GLUTEN FREE? ALSO I BOUGHT Unger's parve whip cream WHICH IS LACTOSE FREE. IN THE INGREDIENTS I DON'T SEE WHEAT, ONLY ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, AND ALSO NO ALLERGENS WARNING. THERE IS XANTAM GUM LISTED IN THE INGREDIENTS. I'M TRYING TO BAKE A CAKE FOR MYSELF, AND I NEED SOME FILLING...

  23. I would like to ask about the Kimball genetics. Did anybody had their genetic test done by them? How is it? What they tested for?
  24. The think is that I got of the gluten before I had my blood work done. I tested negative. In the genetic test for celiac I tested negative for DQ2 and DQ8. My son tested positive in both tests. After going gluten free I didn't experienced the big D yet. Many doctors told me that I have IBS. Why I don't have IBS for 4 months now? As you know I had many...
