  1. A great person once said "because they're idiots". I didn't say this so please don't quote me. haha Honestly, a lot of autoimmune diseases share common symptoms and many doctors(particularly in the states) are just not familiar with this disease yet. I've had chronic fatigue for the past seven years and many doctors to this day question its existence. I've...
  2. You state this like it's a bad thing. Doesn't it rain quite a bit in your vicinity? I've heard that there is a connection with the change in barometric pressure and general malaise. Of course, it's just a theory and one should never believe everything that is heard. Marlon Brando once said so. Therefore, it must be true.
  3. On the contrary. Such symptoms are never normal. For years, I had fainting spells. A B-complex vitamin is especially important but depending on how well you're absorbing, intravenous vitamins may be the way to go. Have you had your blood sugar checked? You may be hypoglycemic, which is often associated with fainting. Très glamourous it all is, isn't it? ...
  4. I'm sure it was something with Barilla pasta. It was so filling and of course, too filling.
  5. Isn't it possible that you could've had a such a breakout anyway?
  6. Young children who get gluten everywhere? How are they getting gluten everywhere unless they're playing with flour like dirt? I don't understand. I don't believe anyone claimed that such a thing is funny. Is airbourne gluten the same thing as steam? I didn't reply to anyone disrespectfully but am about to. It's quite...
  7. With respect, "gluten-like" isn't the same thing as gluten.
  8. I've had that before and it is disgusting. From now on, if I want Ranch dressing, I'll make it homemade.
  9. Those are a lot of ingredients. Why don't you just get some real yogurt, like plain yogurt and add honey or fruit to sweeten?
  10. Then, stop! Well, who doesn't? Well, I've often felt weakened down from hot showers but I don't think "gluten steam" is a problem. haha You hold your breath? No wonder you're feeling anxious, lack of oxygen. That would be a rather extreme action and I get a feeling it wouldn't resolve your symptoms.
  11. Are you kidding? I have to be concerned about my olive oil? Did someone just put a curse on me?
  12. Why couldn't you tolerate the sublingual vitamins?
  13. Actually, it is, especially considering the fact that one consumes water in the form of fruits, vegetables, etc. Perhaps, you're misjudging the amount of water you're really drinking but I've studied nutrition in college and learned about the dangers of water intoxication. To consume as much water as you've claimed is very dangerous.
  14. It's important to inform one's physician about any kind of diet. There are always health risks with any kind of diet. To claim that there is no harm in going on a diet isn't necessarily true.
  15. One hundred-fifty fluid ounces a day? With the possible exception of a major athlete, a person would die of water intoxication by drinking that much water.
  16. Did you get the injections?
  17. How does Prozac cause manic depression?
  18. Thanks for the welcome. I've talked to doctors but they refuse to listen. The last doctor who saw me compared people with celiac disease to starving children in Africa. He seemed unaware that many people with this disease can be overweight or of normal weight. My former physician wouldn't order that much blood work. He would order CBC's but...
  19. Actually, I think it's a very good idea. When a relative of mine who has celiac disease had to have surgery and was in recovery, a nurse offered her saltine crackers. It would've been easy for someone under sedation to have eaten a food containing gluten. Had I not been there to inform the nurse, she would've given gluten to a patient with celiac disease...
  20. Which whole grains have you been eating?
  21. With all honesty, I don't too much miss the foods I used to eat regularly. They've all made me feel too bad. Pizza is one of my favourite foods but I really like the Bob's Red Mill gluten-free pizza mix. Of course, it's not the same but change is good.
  22. If it's a refined grain(i.e. multigrain pasta), I'll generally have a reaction within the first hour of ingestion. I hope you're feeling better.
  23. Good afternoon! My name is Travis and I've recently registered here. For my entire life, I have suffered with health problems. In my early childhood, it was severe asthma and chronic infections, including pneumonia. As a teenager, I struggled with obesity and in my early twenties, I became underweight. At the age of eighteen, I became ill during my...
