  1. Just came across this person - thought to share the info here - Open Original Shared Link
  2. I see "Fiddle-Faddle" continues to make things up about me - telling others on here I was 'vicious with Tailz' and that I am bi-polar (a total fabrication on her part)... ...perhaps Scott would like to ban Fiddle-Faddle now for that...I believe he should - and, I should PM him at this point now, but won't, unless Fiddle-Faddle continues HER vicious assualt...
  3. Two things...just for the record: 1) I am not on any meds for bi-polar - not sure who wrote that, as no time to check - I do, however, take meds for minor depression/anxiety and now also for ADHD - if anyone has a problem with that, you've got problems... 2) Also, below is the full interaction between myself and Scott - please note that I did not...
  4. Seems important to post this info: Admin sent me a PM telling me he agreed with my assessment that Tailz was prothelitizing on here. She was warned, 'again.' Now, I am going back to 'hiatus status,' as life is hectic lately. I only continued communicating with Tailz as it was 'unfinished,' and her replies were something I could not, in good faith,...
  5. Tailz - you are now USING this support forum section in attempts to protheletize - SO...I am reporting this thread as 'inappropriate' at this point... And...since you asked - Regarding your last irrational assumption about me - you wrote to me, "And how can you be so sure that I do not post with compassion for you?" THAT is a good example of one...
  6. Tailz - Again, you have added things to a post (mine, in this case) that were never said, made assumptions, etc - No more comments other than - I guess it feels a bit sad to see someone who is as sick as you spend their energies on blaming "Science" and doctors, and in not showing appreciation for those who took the time to reply. Take care,...
  7. Sorry, again, but can't spend the time it would take to read ALL replies since my post - I just wanted to say - It's obvious that those who warn against a potential dangerous/deadly alternative medicine treatment have been irrationally characterized as 'against all alternative treatments' or 'as putting (all of) their faith in science' by some others on...
  8. Ain't it the truth ... Well said, Tsomo.
  9. You have a not-so-great mom...you're not alone.... A sugggestion: Since they are supportive of you, have your kids and husband have a planned SERIOUS chat with her, all of them together (without you - when you're out) about how THEY are disappointed with her - and how THEY want her to be a better mother to you, to protect your health, and that it's not...
  10. Starting this post, in hopes that we can all 'chip in' 3 ideas - ...mainly for those who already have done the blood tests or elimination diets for food intolerances, and gotten those foods out of our systems for a good amount of time, but still need help 'feeing really good physically' ...I know this thread will benefit 'newbies,' too, and they are...
  11. Sorry, but I didn't have time to read ALL posts - just wanted to say that as someone with an MS degree in research and methodology AND as someone who (before learning about proper research) almost died from consuming 'only' 2 g of Trytophan back when the 'health nuts' said you could consume as much as you want...but it turned out later AFTER research that...
  12. Emily - I understand.... the ONLY sibling of mine to get tested, and I expect the only one ever to, is that same bro - after I told him that his reflux, etc could be from celiac - He came out negative, like your dad...but I also told him before he did the blood tests with his doc, that he would need to do the genetic test to rule out celiac, long-term.....
  13. YES! It's a new day! GREAT attitude! And...too cute avitar pic.... love it
  14. "Da*ned if you do, and da*ned if you don't " Ah - so you got to be born into one of 'those' families, too? What fun, huh?! About the not telling others about potentially genetic health issues: One of my younger bros got melanoma and hid it from the rest of the family for 2 years...said he didn't want to worry anyone...as soon as I told my...
  15. What I know off the top of my head about it: How to help prevent it/heal it: Get all foods out of your system that you 'have a problem with' - do a proper elimination diet. DO NOT take ANY NSAIDS - non-steroidal anti-inflammatories - they help to create the too-permeable to large food molecules (from non-fully digested foods) intestinal lining that...
  16. VENTING: I'm fed up and sick of these types of comments, too... (pardon the puns). I'm one of the 'naturally' thin-since-youth celiacs, but I did gain weight (20 pounds) in my young 20's, and then lost it (plus 15 more!), pre-awful-clinical symptoms developing (It's NOT unusual, btw, for a celiac to gain weight before the 'typical' problems of losing...
  17. I don't take any of this stuff, but....Found this stuff here: Open Original Shared Link Personal and over-the-counter items that commonly have GLUTEN content communion wafers lipsticks face powder hand lotions body powder toothpaste Tylenol chap stick ...
  18. Ah - thank you for the add'l info, tarnalberry - BTW, Vydor - I LOVE Hot Tamales...they are packed with fake cinnamon flavor ...in case you crave cinnamon and can 'handle' the sugar/red dye... I am now addicted...it all started when I bought some a few months back at a gas station... Gotta go cold turkey on this one...
  19. Well - at least you're monitoring th situation...smart! Sorry, again, about the cinnamon thing - perhaps science will produce 'a benign' form one day! Keep the Faith. Gina
  20. Please see this post: Open Original Shared Link
  21. Are you someone who suffers from hyPOglycemia? If so...sorry cinnamon lowers it further...does your sad face mean you like cinnamon? Do you use a glucose monitor? I am thinking about buying one, just to check my own levels, over time...
  22. Not sure - I am going to Google more on it - adding 'regulation' to the search this time - In the meantime, here is research on the USDA web site about how it helps with 'sugar-induced high blood pressure': Open Original Shared Link Will post again when I learn more - Gina YES - be careful, those of you with hypoglycemia - Found this...
  23. Wolf Well - I'm glad that I asked if perhaps the gene came from him...does he know you don't think it did? Anyway - Perhaps that print out with the heart will help? I liked that idea for you - just to clarify, I was really addressiong NoGluGirl in the stuff about accepting the 'limitations' (disabilities?) of others... So, I hope you'll actually...
  24. HI! Rustica has gluten-free? Probably not dairy-free, too, though, huh? As far as sharing restaurants - I have been sticking with one, mainly: Luka's Tap Room & Lounge in Oakland They have chef's that now know me and how to cook gluten and casein-free...In fact, one came over to shake my hand and greet me when I last arrived! I felt...
  25. My understandng is this: Most docs don't do any stool testing, as they do not think it to be 'proven' -they are only conerned with antibodies in the blood - Enterloab's founder, Dr. Fine, believes that antibodies show up first in the stool - so, one can have a negative blood test but positive stool test... You may want to read the testimonials...
