  1. I REALLY would love to see Judge Judy try this case! Or maybe our Peoter can try it for the psillies. When I taught Gifted and Talented the 5th graders and a quarter spent on the judicial system. Imagine this being taught by a 56 year old jewish hippie. That was probably my coolest teaching job. I had 3rd, 4th, & 5th G&T 2/3 of the day and Ressource...
  2. I agree with keeping the house gluten free. Your little one's not going to suffer by your keeping the house gluten-free and you can possibly make her own gluten-free baby food (or check Whole Foods and see if they carry it). Your baby is going to need a healthy energetic mother more than a diet with gluten in it. Sending positive energy! Loey
  3. Hi Jenn, I'd say it depends what was in the chicken salad. My episodes with the big D last at least 3-4 days. I think it differs on an individual basis. Just hang in there and drink plenty of water so you don't get dehydrated. Feel free to PM me if you want to vent one-o-one. Loey
  4. Although we all understand why you think it would be all right to just eat one more thing PLEASE DON'T!!!!!! It can undo all of the good work you've done. Just hang in there and PM me if you need a one-on-one intervention. In the long run it's not worth it to take any more chances. It's our organs we're dealing with. Sending positive energy. Loey
  5. There's a wonderful online site that sells gluten free shampoo and body products. It's called Body Sense and isn't too expensive. You just have to make sure you go to the gluten-free section. I'll post their link below. Loey Open Original Shared Link
  6. Praying for all of you on the West Coast and Canada (and of course Japan). It boggles the mind how muchdestruction can happen in a matter of moments!!!!! Love and prayers to all- stay safe!!!!! Loey
  7. Welcome Etta to the psiliest thread on the site. Glad to have you aboard our wacky ship. Loey
  8. don't forget the mirror over the bed!!! Loey P.S. My first husband and I actually went to a resort where the bed was a red velvet heart with a mirror over it and the jacuzzi was a martini glass. Those were the days of my youth (pre cottage cheese)
  9. You already ARE a part f our group and we'll be here for you!!!! Loey
  10. Don't ever apologize for whining. We're here to help each other in any way that we can. Feel free to PM me if you want to vent one-on-one. Loey
  11. My trigger was a week of Augmentin for a severe sinus infection. I was laid up with the big D for 6 weeks and then diagnosed with Celiac right before we moved to another state. Many people on this site do a lot of traveling and bring along a lot of their own food. Once you know what you can tolerate and get into a routine I'm sure you'll be able to leave...
  12. This disease sucks and you have every right to feel all of the emotions you are going through. Finding this forum was the best thing that's happened to me since my diagnosis last June. It's made up of the kindest, most generous and intelligent people gathered in one place. You can always come here to vent and know that no one will judge you. You're not alone...
  13. Hi Dearest Psillies, This is the first place I turned after I saw the doctor. She has a really nice bedside manner so that's good. Thank you all for the love and support. It didn't really freak me out. Klark was more upset. I guess it's the research I did and how slowly it progresses. I'm sure if she finds out anything prior to my 2 week visit she'll...
  14. Hi Dear Psillies, I went to the oncologist yesterday and it seems I have Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. The good news is that it' the slowest progressing of cancers. Will fnd out what stage I'm in in two weeks. Love, Loey .S. If I don't get disability at this point I'll have to cut off a limb! So... to add something psilly to this post for !@...
  15. Got on here to find some giggles. I found some, but they quickly turned to sobs. I swear, if I hear 1 more person say, "At least it wasn't a cat or a dog, that would have been worse..." I shall SCREAM!!! I passed a mirror an hour ago and it looks like I've been in a major fight. I guess I have though. I'm going back and forth between fighting with God...
  16. Hi Psilles, BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTI!!!!! I've been popping in and out because I'm keeping the medical profession in business on a daily basis. Still alive to talk about it I hope you're all doing well. Heading out soon to pick up Tony and a friend from the train to see a cover group of the Beatles for his birthday. He's downtrodden because...

  21. Hi Psilles, Just reading through all of the posts I've missed. Ever find out what died in your fridge (was it Em)? Saw my back doctor today and he gave me trigger point shots. Guess what- it seems to have worked. I don't know how long they last but there's also another procedure that's longer lasting. I swear I have a doctor appointment or...

  24. Hello Dear Psillies, Just dropping in to say a quick hello. My back's been bad so it's been difficult to sit at the computer. Also spending a lot of my time (and $) going to see specialists now that I finally saw my FP. I had two pre-cancerous polyps removed during my colonoscopy and my ccl and leucocyte levels were off so I have to see an oncologist...
  25. I've had thin hair since I was 18 but it is falling out a lot more now. I don't wash it every day and use gluten-free hair products. I remember when I was growing up my mother would go to the beauty parlor once a week and not wash her hair. She'd just pin curl it at night until the next appointment. I think al of the years of blow drying and curling my hair...
