  1. Thanks for the driving tips! They are really needed. Great idea about keeping things in your car for emergencies. I hear ya on the Chex. I have been loving the apple cinnamon Chex. Can you make krispy treats with smart balance light?

  3. MIne floats after I have been glutened for a little while. I get pain d then c then mucus mucus mucus then they float. Glad to hear that your little man is doing well otherwise.
  4. Makes sense to me! You have been a lot of help to me lately. Thank you!
  5. I really enjoy Bisquick biscuits too. I like to eat them with butter and honey. USF, most gluten free recipes call for many eggs. I think it's b/c there is no gluten to hold things together and the eggs act as the binder. Since groceries are so darn expensive, maybe starting with some fresh flour would be the best thing. That way, you are not...
  6. Is it common to run a low grade fever when first starting the gluten free diet or when you are glutened?
  7. Thanks Karen. I really hope that the mucus goes away b/c I can't stand it. The mix of constantly running the the bathroom thinking that I have to go and all I get is mucus and the elevated liver enzymes is ticking me off. Moving did not help at all. It's pretty lonely here. My husband is working all the time and we don't know anyone. We left our house...
  8. Back in the beginning of August, I saw a gyn. and she told me that since I had mucus with my stool and mucus on it's on after a stool that I just HAD to have ibs and not celiac. I was tested for celiac before and my test was inconclusive b/c I wasn't eating gluten at the time. I was diagnosed on my symptoms and improvement on the gluten free diet. Anyway...
  9. I had my latest food obsession....Del Real Chicken Tamales. With lettuce, tomato and some salsa. Really good.
  10. Thanks for the reply. I can't stand the mucus b/c it's the symptom that seems to linger the most for me. I guess it's part of celiac and I should just try to ignore it.
  11. I was just wondering what some of you do for a quick meal when you don't feel like cooking, or in my case freezing and snowed in! I LOVE Del Real Chicken Tamales Kirkland (costco's) pulled pork Ore Ida Fries and a hot dog
  12. We just moved to Colorado. Anyone else out there? Any good restaurants or health food stores here?
  13. Anyone..No one has mucus?
  14. Thanks for the help GFinDC. I did a search on elevated liver enzymes. It seems like it's pretty common with celiac disease. Hopefully with the diet, my liver will fix itself. -MO
  15. Do any of you gluten free bakers live in a high altitude? I made some brownies and they were like rocks. What do I need to be doing differently? I'm at 7,500 feet. Thanks!
  16. I have tried calling several times and I can't get through. I keep getting a busy signal. Maybe they need call waiting.
  17. Whenever I get glutened and after the gas and D mixed with C, I get either stool with undigested food or I will feel like I have to 'go' and I get a mucus or oily discharge. The mucus/discharge can go on for a few days. When the mucus/ discharge is over, the pain subsides and I am ok until the next glutening. Sometimes the mucus/oily discharge is mixed...
  18. I am trying to find out if the brand of rice milk that I bought is processed with barley enzymes. It's Kirkland Organic Rice Milk - Costco's house brand. Do the words partially milled mean that it's from barley? How can I tell? I called a few times and I can't get through to find out.
  19. Does anyone know? I ended up buying the Kirkland rice milk. Does anyone know how I can find out if it's processed with barley like that 'one' kind ? Anything that I should see on the label?
  20. Honey ham rolled in corn tortilla and some fritos and an orange.
  21. Feeling a bit ill today so.... Kirkland pulled pork which I put a bottle of Stubbs bbq sauce on and some ore ida fries.
  22. Less for me. We just moved to another state and are paying our house payment back home and rent here. It's kinda tight right now.
  23. Thanks Karen. I called and they confirmed that it was in fact gluten free.
  24. Thanks for the reply. Thats what I was thinking. I was gluten free for a few years and was doing so much better until I had a doctor tell me that because I had mucus after a BM, it was IBS not celiac.....well to make a long story short, I ate gluten for a few weeks and I seriously felt like I was dying so I went to a dif. doctor who ran blood work and it...
