  1. Thanks for the info! Well I made the chocolate. It turned out great! It's really really good and very easy! Now I just need to break some into pieces for some chocolate chunk coconut flour cookies! Thanks for posting that muffin recipe in the whats for breakfast thread. I didn't even know that coconut flour existed. I bought some after reading that...
  2. Yes, I bought raw cocoa. It's from a company in Venezuela. Tisano is the name of it. What brand of chocolate do you buy? I'd like to check it out to see if it would work for me just incase this doesn't work out! I'll post back after I make it this weekend! Wish me luck!
  3. I sure will! The cocoa butter smells AMAZING! Can't wait to make it.
  4. Thanks! I guess I'll give it a whirl and if I have some sort of reaction to it, i'll go back to the arduous task of making rice milk.
  5. I just ordered some organic cocoa butter to make my own chocolate. I am going to try this recipe. Open Original Shared Link I think that this will be great b/c I need to be dairy free. Has anyone done anything like this? Thanks!
  6. All of this from a simple question. I guess that next time I have a question about a specific product meant for super sensitives to answer I will send PM's. I thought that this section of the forum was to discuss things with other super sensitives. I really did not mean to start a big debate. I just wanted to know if the coconut milk was along the...
  7. I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I keep finding conflicting info and didn't get much help from the company. Is Windex safe to use as far as spraying it on my glass top kitchen table and accidentally inhaling it sometimes while spraying it on a high window. Thanks!
  8. Chicken fingers (strips) dipped in egg and rice flour and fried in a little olive oil with oven baked red potatoes. Homemade strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackberry sorbet.
  9. Thanks. I can't wait to make the banana muffins and the brownies. I just ordered coconut flour, coconut oil and some cocoa butter. I found a recipe to make my own chocolate! Dairy free! Who knew!
  10. Just looking to see if it goes along the same line as the not so gluten free gluten free rice dream. Thanks to those who answered.
  11. Do any super sensitives have issues with So Delicious coconut milk? I was thinking of getting some but I am super sensitive so I am not sure. Also, do any of you bake with coconut flour? Any good brands out there?
  12. Has anyone baked with only coconut flour. I found a ton of recipes for things like brownies, pancakes and bread using coconut flour as the only flour. The recipes don't have the gums in directions either. I am allergic to corn so I can't have the gums. It all just seems so easy. Here is one recipe. Could it possibly be this easy?!! Fudgy Coconut...
  13. I am in the KC area too. I don't really have any advice for you as I am struggling with the same thing. No one understands. Then when you add a corn and dairy allergy on top of it, it makes it harder. Hang in there! You are not alone in this..We all go through the same thing.
  14. Hi, I was a Twinings tea drinker until they removed all of their gluten free labeling and info off of their website. Under the allergen info, it doesn't say anything about being free from wheat and barley in their big list of allergens. It did it the past. The reason that I checked is b/c I am coming off a glutening and wanted to make sure. Which teas...
  15. If I were you, I would cut out all of the dairy. Lactaid milk does not help if you are casein intolerant. I thought that I was lactose intolerant too and used Lactiad milk and pills. Come to find out, it was casein all along. I had bad gas and a lot of pain. I recently drank a cup of milk to test it out and it came back. I was in a lot of pain. Also...
  16. I have the exact same symptoms with similar cramping and a sinus headache. Thanks for the info. I need to be more careful. I need to get out my blender and make some rice milk today. Hopefully the symptoms wont last too long.
  17. I just use C&H white sugar. You could use anything that you want. Anything that is sweet will work. Honey or juice would work.
  18. I intend to! I am bringing meatloaf, fresh green beans with mushrooms - with forbidden olive oil...lol - and a small salad - for dessert. My gluten free dairy free pumpkin pie with a chocolate sauce and homemade raspberry sorbet. :)
  19. No, not at all. I can't have any of their flavors. I called and spoke with them before I bought it. You can make your own flavors. You can use juice or lemon/lime sugar. I made strawberry soda out of strawberries and sugar which I made a simple syrup out of. If you do a search online, there are a bunch of recipes that we can have. (you and I have very...
  20. I decided to test my casein reaction 2 days ago. I never was confirmed to have a casein allergy so I wasn't sure if it was that or lactose. I know now that I can't handle casein. It caused cold sores, a migraine, knee pain and mucus poop. How long does casein stay in your system? I drank about a cup and a half of whole milk.
  21. Thanks everyone! We've decided to go to my sisters house and I am going to bring my own food. She said that she didn't invite us at first because she feels bad eating in front of me. Thats awful. Anyway..thanks!!
  22. LOL thanks Karen.
  23. Thanks for all of your help! Meatloaf is a wonderful suggestion! That cake looks delish too! I wouldn't know where to find any of those things around here though. I live in a tony town and the nearest big grocery store is 25 min away and they don't have a gluten free section at all.
  24. No worries! Who would have known. I learned the hard way. Not sure on guar gum. I need to google that one.
