  1. I have been reacting to Chex cereals. It is the only thing that I have added besides plain black Twinings tea. I emailed the company who makes the Chex. They are not even made on dedicated equipment. WTH? They wash/sanitize between runnings but I don't want to eat anything that they make wheat chex on. Too many chances for CC. With that said, what...
  2. Heinz ketchup and Hellmans mayo both say gluten free on them by the ingredients on the back. All of Frenches mustards are safe. Check on the FAQ of their website.
  3. Thank you so much for your help and for the link to the page that explains it. I appreciate it!
  4. I need to add some cooking oil to my rice "stuffing" I don't want to use olive oil b/c I don't want that taste in it. It calls for vegetable oil (which I think is soybean oil and I avoid that) I have canola in the house, would that work and is it 100% safe from a gluten standpoint? I don't want to make myself or the other celiac coming sick! Also, can...
  5. Thank you. It makes me feel better to know what this is exactly because it's kind of alarming looking. I get it every time I get some CC but I never knew what it was exactly. So steatorrhea can come out on it's own? Like I feel like I have to go sometimes and the orange oily stuff is all that comes out.
  6. I got glutened on Saturday night from CC from a restaurant. I am wondering with in addition to the gastro, joint, fatigue etc. if anyone gets severe depression from gluten. I usually am a very upbeat person but when I get glutened, I cry for days and feel sorry for myself and feel hopeless. Is this common at all?
  7. Thank you! I am going to check into these. I eat a ton of fruit and veggies so hopefully they will help break it all down. They sound great. So the mucus discharge is undigested food and it comes out looking like mucus? Sometimes I feel like I have to go and the mucus or whatever it is is all that comes out.
  8. Thanks everyone!! I am going to try the Libby's crustless with the rice milk AND make some baked apples incase it's a fiasco.
  9. I was kind of thinking that this might be DH on my chin and lips. They itch and ooze liquid and are on my chin and lips and appear 3 days after a glutening. I use to get dh on my knee caps and elbows but now just on my face.
  10. Thanks for the info both of you! I just read about the steatorrhea. That explains the orange color of the mucus/oil junk. Gemini, what is the name of the enzymes that you take?
  11. Yes, when I get a bit of gluten, I get a ton of weeping sores on my chin and lips. I assume they are cold sores and they are def. from gluten!
  12. Every single time I get glutened as the pain subsides, I get mucus and or oily floating stuff. (TMI I know) Sometimes mixed with stool, sometimes I feel like I have to go but that is all I pass. Is this because the intestines are trying to prevent gluten from getting in or is the lining shedding or what is going on? Also, what is with the severe muscle...
  13. I was glutened on Sat. night by CC from a restaurant. The pain has pretty much subsided. D has stopped but now I have really bad trapped gas and C. Does anyone else get this? Anything that I can do to help? I had D for a few days now I just have C and mucus.
  14. Does anyone know of any Pumpkin dessert that is free from casein, gluten, soy and nuts? I was thinking of making that crustless Libby's pumpkin pie but I don't know if it will set up with rice milk. Any ideas?
  15. I am starting to react to corn like I do with gluten? Is corn one of those cross reactive foods? I do so so with fresh corn in small amounts but boy, if I eat popcorn, I get D and then C for a week. No aches and pains or migraine or neuro stuff like with gluten but major digestive issues. Does corn do this to anyone else? Celiac is such a vicious...
  16. Thank you! I will buy that brand next time. It was right under the Progresso too. Should have reached down a shelf!
  17. Ahhhh..MSG..thats it. I had no idea that yeast extract was MSG. Thanks for your help everyone.
  18. Hi super sensitives, Here I am again wondering what got me. I have been doing so well too. Anyway, I added 4 things to my diet. Sunmaid raisins, Dei Fratelli tomato sauce and Progresso chicken broth. I am thinking the chicken broth is CC but no clue. The tomato sauce lists vinegar on the label and the word "spices" Vinegar has gotten me in the past...
  19. The most annoying thing about celiac is... Being glutened and having NO CLUE as to what zapped me this time!
  20. Here you go. 1/2 teaspoon(s) Ground Cumin 1/2 teaspoon(s) Salt1/4 teaspoon(s) Ground Red Pepper1 tablespoon(s) Vegetable Oil..2 large (about 1 1/2 pounds) Sweet Potatoes Directions Prepare the sweet potatoes: In a small bowl, combine cumin, salt, and pepper. 21. Chex Cereal Crust 2 cups Rice Chex, crushed 3 T. butter, melted 3 T. sugar Combine ingredients and press into a greased pie pan. Bake at 350 for 6-8 mins. That's it- Super easy!
  22. Yes, Cook the rice, and put it in a blender with some water, honey or sugar or vanilla. Whatever you want and blend it until smooth. I dont bother straining it b/c the sediment sinks to the bottom but if you dont want that, just strain and refrigerate. It's really easy and cheap.
  23. Yummy! I can't find that brand anywhere around here so I usually make my own rice milk. I'll have to try it in place of the coffee sometime. Thanks for the idea. It's hard being casein free to find something chocolate. Glad there is cocoa powder!!
  24. What do you mean? I'm confused..lol
