  1. I eat rice several times a week. 4 or more and have never had a problem with it. I think you will be ok with rice. The things that people tend to get an intolerance to are corn, soy, eggs, dairy etc. Rice will be ok. How about having some fruits or applesauce or try making something with the rice like dairy free rice pudding or something. Maybe try...
  2. 2 pieces of french toast made with Udi's bread and some pears.
  3. Homemade tomato sauce with onion, garlic, green bell peppers, tomatoes over rice and a salad.
  4. Great. Thanks! I will get some tomorrow.
  5. Whenever I get glutened, I get D and then constipated. I deal with hemorrhoids because of that. They are very painful. You can def. get them from having the runs. Tucks pads really do help and Tylenol or advil helps too. I hope you feel better soon. I know how uncomfortable this can be.
  6. I was wondering if anyone has tried the King Arthur mixes. The cookie and muffin mixes look great. I like how you can use them as a base and add your own mix-ins. I was thinking of buying some Udi's muffins but I saw these mixes and thought that these might be better. I am tired of buying things and throwing them out so I thought I would ask you all....
  7. Bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich on Udi bread. (thank heavens that is soy free) and some homemade popcorn and pears.
  8. I gave my blender a workout and made a smoothie with rice milk, OJ, banana and strawberries.
  9. I kept thinking I was getting gluten by CC with coffee mate, ore ida fries, lays stax, margarine and the betty crocker mixes. All of these things have soy. I think I am having soy reactions and not gluten ones. I guess I am going to eliminate those things. I read an article on soy today and it said that it can cause inflammation in your intestines. I...
  10. I have been gluten free for almost 2 years. I recently have had to give up casein (dairy) and soy. My reactions to those 2 things are as bad as gluten. You may have gotten a secondary food intolerance on top of gluten. It is very common.
  11. Does a soy reaction cause joint pain and diarrhea for days?
  12. I am afraid to try kettle chips. Once I feel better, I will give them a try. It's hard going from a person who could eat anything to someone who is super sensitive to gluten and casein. I suppose going back to basics and eating meat, fruit and veg would be the best thing for me. It seems like I keep getting more and more sensitive as time goes on. Thanks...
  13. I would get your own new cast iron pan for your gluten free food. I think that gluten kind of gets baked into these pans and won't come off easily. Better be safe than sick. The Emeril cast iron pans are pretty nice.
  14. I think I need to start posting in the super sensitive section! Dairy really gets me badly. Oh well my homemade chips are better anyway. Thanks for your help.
  15. It sure can. You can develop other food intolerances at any time.
  16. I am super sensitive to gluten and recently to casein. I have just recently given up all processed foods with the exception of a select few. I thought that I was reacting to Lays Stax so I quit those. I KNOW I reacted to rice Chex. I am ok with Betty Crocker yellow cake mix. I make my banana bread with that. So other than the cake mix and bisquick which...
  17. That is a great idea! I love this. (I don't have a tattoo or want one but this is a great way to symbolize celiac)
  18. Piece of homemade banana bread, coffee, cranberry juice and some grapes.
  19. Baked chicken over rice, green beans, strawberries.
  20. Sounds great! I'm going to make it this weekend. Thanks!!!
  21. I am not canning anything BUT, I live near an apple orchard and would love to make some apple jelly.
  22. You all are a wealth of information. For me, I KNOW it's not lactose. Lactose wouldn't make me have sores on my face, migraines and joint pain and D for days. I react to casein the exact same way as gluten. Thank you Skylark for posting that. Your posts are always full of good info! It all is making sense now. If anyone else needs dairy free...
  23. I know that Lays Stax are gluten free (suppose to be anyway) but I have been eating them with my lunch. (plain turkey, lettuce and fruit and Lays Stax and I have been getting D every single day right after I eat those chips. Yesterday I skipped the chips no D today I ate them D. Obviously, I am not going to eat them anymore. I know they are gluten free but...
  24. Thank you so much for posting this! It all makes a lot of sense! I have only been dairy free for 2 days and I expected it to be all better. Now I know that it will take some time.
  25. How do you make your taco salads? I would love to make them but don't know how to do it dairy free. I have used McCormick taco seasoning in the past but now I am dairy free and can't use that anymore. What do you use for the shells/chips? Do you just omit the cheese?
