Baked Apples are really good! 6 large apples 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1 tablespoon butter Wash and core apples, then remove a 1 inch strip of peel around the middle of each apple; place in a 2-quart shallow baking dish. 2. Here is the email that I got from them. They seem pretty safe for us to me! Thank you for your recent email regarding the gluten status in Kellogg's
  3. Last night I made cheeseburgers on my little George Foreman grill, corn on the cob and a baked potato. Tonight, I have no flippin idea! I'm sooooooo tired of cooking! Anyone have any good crock pot recipes? That would be so much easier for the summer.
  4. I had a piece of banana bread that I made with Betty Crocker gluten free yellow cake mix and a cup of coffee and a glass of Lactaid whole milk.
  5. Does anyone have a good and fairly simple baked beans recipe? I use to make mine with van de kamps pork and beans and then add onion and brown sugar etc. but I don't think they are gluten free. Help please Van Camps is what I meant. Van De Kamps is a frozen fish I think.
  6. I know that the bags say gluten free but I sent an email to make sure that ALL favors are gluten free. I am so tired of Stax as they have been giving me terrible indigestion. Has anyone tried these chips? Here is what I got back when I asked if all flavors are gluten free. Thank you for taking time to contact us. We are very happy to hear you enjoy...
  7. I sent an email to them last night. I will post the response when I get it.
  8. They are made by Kellogs, they make frosted mini wheat cereal and several other wheat based cereals. What do you mean by saying it doesn't say on the box? It's a cereal company that makes several cereals that would make us very sick. Just wondering if they are really gluten free and free from cross contamination and if it was confirmed anywhere.
  9. Has anyone confirmed dedicated equipment status? I bought a box but am afraid to try them. I am picturing the other cereal grains flying around the factory.
  10. I bought a box at Hyvee. Has anyone checked to see if they are made on dedicated equipment? I can't help but to think of all of the other cereal grains flying around the factory.
  11. I do ok with cheese. Yogurt makes me sick for days.
  12. I had a bad episode with spoiled Lactaid milk last week so I decided that I would do a test and try some regular milk. For 2 days, I cooked with it and used it in my coffee and made ice cream out of it. I felt gassy and had terrible heartburn. I took Maylox and blew it off thinking that it was the new bbq sauce that I used b/c it was really spicy. Last...
  13. I wish Hen House carried Udi's and that Price Chopper had a health food section.
  14. I made baked chicken, carrots and broccoli.
  15. I made hamburgers on my little George Foreman grill and wrapped them in romaine lettuce with a little cheese and diced tomato. I also had ore ida sweet potato fries. For those of you that are soy allergic, they are soy free. They use canola oil for these. They are pretty good.
  16. I really do enjoy cooking, however I find myself feeling like I live in my kitchen. I really love gardening and haven't had time to do that anymore along with a bunch of other things that I don't have time for due to the fact that I am either at the grocery store or cooking or preparing things to take with me. Sometimes I feel like I have given up so much...
  17. I had a bowl of rice chex and cantaloupe and some coffee
  18. Crest and Colgate are both gluten free.
  19. Just a minor setback. No biggie. We all make mistakes. Back in the saddle! For me, I notice that if I do get glutened on accident, the worst thing that I can do is stress about it. It makes things worse. Feel better!
  20. These are the most chewy, moist, tasty and easy snickerdoodles. 1 box of Betty Crocker gluten free yellow cake mix 1/2 cup, butter softened. I get mine pretty melted but not entirely. 1 teaspoon McCormick Vanilla 1 egg McCormick cinnamon - for sprinkling Heat oven to 350 In a bowl, stir all ingredients EXCEPT cinnamon with a spoon until dough...
  21. I have a package of Udi's crusts in the freezer. What kind of pizza sauce do you all use? What is gluten free?
  22. I did call them to let them know. They said it was rare but could happen via transport with the truck not being cold enough or other problems like that. This could happen with any food product. They were the nicest most helpful customer service line that I have ever called. They are sending me out a coupon to replace my milk. I went to another store...
  23. I've been using Lactaid milk for quite some time. My husband was cleaning out the fridge and he smelled my milk and said eww, this has gone bad. I just opened it 4 days ago. It has an ex. date of late July. I told him to throw it out. I bought more and it had the same smell. It smells a little sour or different from regular milk. I've been using this...
  24. Thats great!! Ive never had Lara Bars due to a nut allergy but I LOVE chex. My favorite are the rice chex. If you can find those, they make great marshmallow treats too!
  25. homemade waffle from the freezer - toasted with butter and strawberry jam and coffee (someone on here calls coffee the devils brew. I am starting to agree. Makes my stomach burn!) Tomorrow, I am going to have juice or hot tea.
