  1. If you don't mind me asking, how did you come to suspect Nightshades? I've seen that a few times but never considered it a whole lot, one other thing, I am quitting dairy in general and sugar if I can avoid it totally, but it is some intense withdrawal I feel like an addict the way I want milk or something lol did you get anything like that? pretty sure...
  2. I love and hate stories like this, they make me feel a bit better about my s$#&ty situation, but at the same time I hate it because so many people suffer so much, I have a hard time wrapping my mind around needless suffering like Celiac Disease =/ But it's nice to see you made it through all that! Perhaps there is hope for all the situations out there...
  3. So I know lots of people here have it, I am really curious if any use and check this area of the forum! hopefully some do lemme know if your from the province of Prince Edward Island =D
  4. I'm really glad to see that lots of people are improving the celiac brain situation =D
  5. Well that sucks teh big one =/ /sigh Oh how I hate dealing with the medical system here.
  6. I have been having issues with sensitivity to damn near everything, which I understand is because of continual glutening through CC, I have no idea how to further avoid gluten as I think I'm doing everything, and I'm damn sure I'm not cheating the diet lol. The closest thing I can figure to being the culprit is the way the dishes get washed, I don't always...
  7. Oh noez lol not the sugar and dairy :'o I have these vicious addict like cravings for those, I was worried it was candidia for the longest time but then I told myself to stop being silly and admit I was just refusing to give them up...still haven't perhaps I should o.o but then.. I'm left with so little xD
  8. All I have to say, is be glad your not a guy. I find guys are much more willing to sacrifice for a girl then girl's are for a guy, having to be the forward one usually makes the first kiss awkward as F when you have to find a way to be smooth about saying "so hey yeah, I can't kiss you unless you go brush like a fiend! with .. this kind of toothpaste.....
  9. I didn't know people tested to see if the antibodies were gone, is that the number they give when first diagnosing you? saying oh your number is 16-100 or w.e ? Interested to see how this unfolds.
  10. Lol, great advice thanks! A year in paris is one long vacation o.O As a Canadian I really should learn french over German but I would LOVE to go to berlin! although originally I wanted to travel there to try the food o.O But I hear Berlin has some pretty crazy clubs =D soon as I get celiac under control, I'll get right on going there, I feel it my...
  11. I was just thinking about trying my hand at learning German, I'm not really sure why but I always wanted to learn a second language and it seemed fun, I've heard it's difficult >_> I was wondering how many of the people on this forum have learned a second language and how you did it? and maybe tips for learning it faster or easier. How long...
  12. lol well it most certainly isn't pregnancy xD but as far as I know I don't suffer from any of that, especially not dehydration, I drink a TON of water, maybe I had a bit to much lactose free milk but I don't drink THAT much, and it never caused issues like this before, and I would go back to the normal silverish looking pots we used but.. my mom went and...
  13. ok so, for xmas I was given a cookware set, I thought it was very thoughtful, It's a really nice set that normally we would never consider (to much money) but it was A fantastic sale.. so accepting this is proving very hard for me.. I have done nothing at all different, the same safe diet... but I am facing some rather annoying C, and all the discomforts...
  14. I don't get that exactly, but pre gluten-free life, I never had this issue, I get up at a normal speed, and I white out, my vision kind of get's flash-banged, it's brief and hardly of concern but I find it odd I get so lightheaded from just sitting and standing up at what used to be normal speeds o.O
  15. Lol! that sounds awesome, I know certain busy city intersections scare the hell out of me still xD it's like ZOMG HES GUNNA HIT ME!! but then they always just drive casually by =P prank calls FTW! I member doing those as a kid once.. so fun lol
  16. aweee damn I shouldn't have looked at that >.< scary stuff lol
  17. So.. in the few years leading up to my diagnoses my anxiety was getting WAY out of control.. and for some reason that effected phone calls more then anything, I absolutely couldn't work up the nerve to call and eventually I got to the point where I only answered the phone when I absolutely had to.. Since going gluten free however, My nerves are returning...
  18. Well let's hope them dismissing it as a fad doesn't turn a legion of "special" viewers against anyone they know with celiac disease =/ "The best I can do in the meantime is to control my disease without allowing it to control me" -- Nice
  19. This is a question to those, who HAD memory issues, brain fog, ect. and have since Solved zed problems with a gluten free lifestyle, or... w.e it was that solved zed memory issues for you =D Keep in mind, I'm looking to see if there is any..Stories of triumph not..depressing tales of ongoing struggles. not that my heart doesn't go out to those people...
  20. lol I know WHY people didn't post anything, It was more a redundent comment for the heck of it, I was more surprised no one had any experience, I guess people don't like york mints? lol
  21. lol 100 views and no one has posted a thing >_>
  22. Anyone know if York Bites are Gluten Free? Was a few vauge posts but never solid also couldn't find a canadian page with a picture of the package I have but, Open Original Shared Link is close enough Anyone In Canada eat these? anyone in general know if they are gluten-free?
  23. Ok so I walked away with nothing but confusion, after reading that. I'm not sure if it's one of those... they just can't say it's gluten-free or.. it's CC'd somehow? I was wondering because I wanted to try Open Original Shared Link the ingredients seem fine?
  24. I was wondering for those of you with Candidia how did you figure out you had it, what made you get the blood testing for it done? or was it something they saw when testing for something else?
