    Hi English Chick!!! My husband and son are both coeliacs. First off - assuming you are in England - your experience is fairly typical...my hubby was ill for many years before being diagnosed ..and my son only diagnosed 'cos of his Dad Your GP is WRONG to say 'because you are asthmatic you would be allergic to most things'.....DEAR GOD!!!...

    Before diagnosis my husband had a very high CRP count (also high ESR) but it slowly went down after going gluten-free. It is still quite high (for the average person) but this is because he has arthritis as well (which also improved once he was gluten-free)
