  10. My husband (a coeliac) has had problems with easy bleeding and low platelets. At the moment his haemotolgist is happy with his levels (although not as good as the average person, they are not dangerous) - he's not been dx with ITP though. I'm not sure any of the docs know exactly why this has been occuring for my hubby

One possibility is that your daughter has IgA deficiency (more common in coeliacs) If she has this it means she wouldn't produce enough antibodies to produce a 'positive' blood test (even if she is a coeliac) Having said that - lots of people on this board have had negative bloods but have seen fantastic results going gluten-free.
