  2. this is an old recipe that you all may already have tried: Open Original Shared Link (I tried it the first time a couple days ago and was so disappointed. My daughter and I still loved it but it onlly seemed useful for breakfast. Reminded me of anadama bread... molasses taste. Also didn't seem to cook right. It got really brown on outside but seemed...
  3. how irritating!
  4. it doesn't sound possible than as the owner would not have gluten products. did you bring it home to eat? maybe something in your home? if you have gluten eaters there it is possible.
  5. I am very confused. I used Ragu traditional spag sauce on a pizza for supper last night since it was all I had. Everything else I made from scratch. After that she exhibited what I consider her classic glutened signals. I am very new to all this so maybe I am wrong about her signals. The sauce does not show any gluten ingredients. I am so confused about...

  10. hi! I bought the Argo at my local store. AWESOME!! You may want to recheck Clabbergirl... when I looked at it in the store on the label it said processed on equipment which also processes wheat and some other stuff. Maybe this is a new change.

  13. hi... thanks for all of your input. I was going to get on here to write the reason I don't like saying gluten sensitivity is that it just doesn't do it justice... I mean in the book I read it said this is when people are ok having a little but alot gets them in trouble. I seem to get in trouble with even a little bit. I think it would work to tell people...

  15. oh I meant I never add enough LOL. It oozes but if my MIL is there she always gets me to add more conf. sugar and it works.
  16. yes, yes, yes!!! this is awesome!!! Haven't tried but have cauliflower in my fridge. I can't wait. So much better for you than using a grain anyway and I bet you can't even tell. Thank you for being so creative and sharing.
  17. That's what I'm wondering... if my symptoms go away with gluten free also at what point is it ok to self diagnose? I mean you are mentioning self diagnosing also and I've seen other people mention it also. As far as meds, I personally hate meds. I am not saying that you shouldn't but they are absolutely not for me in a case where I can keep myself healthy...
  18. Hi... I've never been diagnosed and will never get diagnosed since one apparent cross contamination at someone's home tonight has me in horrible stomach pain. So I'm definitely accepting that I am not going to get a diagnosis of anything since I hate eating gluten. I've seen some people say "self diagnosis"... do I just start telling people I have it and...
  19. My husband and I ate at the inlaws tonight. We both have horrible stomach ache. I ate something that I can't imagine had gluten in it so must be cross contamination. We've been invited to someone's home next weekend and wedding meal tomorrow... how do you guys handle?! I can't imagine grilling someone when invited to their home to eat but this is awful...
  20. UPDATE!!! HOLY CRAP she has already started gaining weight. I am flipping out excited. She went from 20.6 yesterday a.m. to 21.2 this a.m. My husband is making requests for more of the gluten-free baked goods. LIFE IS SO GOOD!! And she is also back to going to potty on her own again. AND last night went the whole night without a potty accident. amazing...
  21. Argo... I've heard of that brand. Hopefully they are cheap. I will look for both today at store. THANKS!!
  22. I love alot of the cornstarch recipes in my cookbook. The only specially marked gluten-free cornstarch is a tiny box at a specialty store... and have I mentioned EXPENSIVE. Does this one have high possibility of cross contamination?
  23. oh, you guys have been posting while I was writing my post so my post is a little behind. Sorry to read about italian restaurant... that is a hard one. You could make some dinner bread (gluten free) to bring with you. Usually italian restaurants have things other than pasta. BUT again this food thing is totally up to you. You mentioned the throwing up...
  24. hi, I am a newbie too. Hang in there. I have found that it is not really bad at all. Although for my family we don't get to go out to eat anyway due to money... but food is definitely good even if it is gluten free. Thai restaurants are a great place to go because they use rice noodles anyway. Indian restaurants can be a little tricky because some...
