  1. Sometimes, but where i live the power lines are burried so... no random powerouts. I miss wooden stoves though
  2. Yeah thats probably the reason.

  4. Lactaid does not taste similar at all >_< Waaaaay too sweet and watery and tastes off.
  5. No idea what i'm going to do, it'll come to me.
  6. We all test different and not all doctors are educated as they should be on celiac (its annoying). Imo, if his blood test came back positive like that, I'd consider it positive. However, if you wished and if he is still on a gluteny diet, they perhaps a biopsy would be useful.
  7. A biopsy isn't all that bad. They knock ya out then its over, no real pain outside of a mild sore throat. At any rate, if you go off gluten now, all blood tests will not come back accurately. Genetic test would of course. It could also mess with a biopsy.
  8. If you are in the USA, food is required to be labeled with the top 8 allergins (which wheat is a part of). So it will clearly list it.
  9. Case by case. I removed it because it was irritating my throat when i would drink it (didn't remove cheese though). Reintroduced with no issues.

  12. Lol, we still get bad storms (remembers the last time DIA got closed down for two days). Though CO doesn't deal with it as well as MT does. We'd get two feet over night and still had to go to school and the buses still ran. None of this 3 inch crud.
  13. Most companies now do label if it has wheat in it (kraft and urvieler (sp fail)). Doctors like to look for horses and not zebras, thats why. Its just soooo much easier for them At any rate, just read labels. Thats all you can really do.
  14. Colorado? Where the weather changes every five minutes.
  15. GUYS ITS SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just realized something though, i'm going to freeze my butt off in the morning
  16. oh i don't doubt it. But frosting is something i think of when i think cupcakes lol.
  17. Corn tortillas are dirt cheap if you can have them. You can get 80 of them for like $3 something. Freeze the stack and pull out and microwave (for about 30 seconds) as needed. Progresso soups don't agree with me and are about $1.50 each. A jar of peanut butter can go a long way. Rice and a rice cooker is always a good idea to have (i still...
  18. Something i learned while i was in theraphy when i was younger was to analyze why i stress out over things. First look at the item (or event or whathaveyou). Food. Define it. Something good for the body. Do i need to do it (eat it, smash it, what have you it) yes Why am i anxious or stressed about it I am afriad that i will have an...
  19. Always double check to make sure.
  20. Thats what i was thinking. Its been a while since i've had a cake type treat (i do not count rice cakes with a little honey on it as a "Treat"). I'll have to pick up a box when i go to the store. I was going to do frosting, but i don't think my stomach could handle it. Especially the store bought ones.
  21. Eh, i don't think i have a problem with it then. I eat chex all the time with no issues, the same with peanut butter and honey. I think at the time the cran berry pills were to cause.
  22. I took some betty crocker cake mix (gluten free of course), seperated it into muffin pans, and sprinkled a little brown sugar on top. Would it be good?
  23. Big meals give my GERD a reason to act up, so you aren't alone
  24. Or acid reflux meds for that matter. I did that once.... never again.
  25. Open Original Shared Link Per Liquid Gelcap: Diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg Imo, if your worried about that why not spend a little more for the benadryl version? I'd rather pay a bit more for peace of mind than anything.
