  1. There are rice tortillas out there ya know My mom used to say eat it or do without. That was the only way i'd eat some things.
  2. Whole foods are cheaper than processed most of the time. Buy in season, go for sales, etc. For example i'll take a lrge roaust for about $10 and cut it in thirds. I can get two to threemeals out of oeach portion. Then i'll take a head of cabbage and again take a third of it for a meal. I'll add carrots and some onions or whatever else i have in the frig...
  3. My mac and cheese recipe is: Half a box of ancient harvest elbows one tab of butter (original recipe called for half a stick ) Enough olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan 2 cups of milk (i use 2%) About a tablespoon of corn starch mixed with a tad bit of water (careful here corn starch does not like heat, thus it makes little clumps without...
  4. I guess it just depends on how sensative you are. I do fine with my corn quinoa blend. I try to limit it to once a week.
  5. People do not understand what they cannot see, thus to them you may look fine, but you are not.
  6. I had a positive IGA TTG, both genes for it, negative biopsy, and a positive reaction to the diet. As far as i'm concerned i do (along with two other doctors). Biopsys are slowly falling from the "golden" standard. Try the diet now and see.
  7. How were you tested for your gallbladder? Blood test? I had to have mine out despite being normal on the blood test and ultrasound. It was discovered via HIDA scan that it was only working at 5% and that one half was working against the other, thus causing pain. The rest of the issues you seem to have may indeed be something related to gluten. First, before...
  8. there are a lot of celiacs (myself included) that can handle quinoa just fine. Really, its a pop shot. Some people react to it because they are intolerent to it (not a cc thing). I can no longer handle oats as it gives me a belly ache, yet there are some who can have it just fine. See? Its one of those things where you have to try it yourself to see...
  9. it'd go to waste elsewise, right? :3
  10. I cheated and had cereal, but i had a huge bowl of veggies and meat for lunch... so good?
  11. allergy to me screams hives, throat closings, generally bad things along those lines. Where as an intolerence is more of a tummy troubles, aches, and headaches type of thing I must be the only one to think that way.
  12. Dear, what are you eating? Perhaps you can give us a rundown on what you eat everyday and maybe we can, in turn, point you in a good direction. It is tough. While my symptoms pretty much cleared up a week or so afterwards it took months to get to what i'd discribe as normal. Your body needs to heal and it does take time. It is generally advised...
  13. I used to do that. My neighbor didn't mind as it kept the bears out of her yard lol.
  14. if you are having issues breathing, that sounds like an allergy dear :/ at any rate: Anyhow, I'm interested to know, what changed for you after you went gluten free? No more random "D" and vomiting! Did you have more energy? Took a while to get it back lose weight? gain weight? Before dx, I lost about 40lbs in a month. Now, i've lost...
  15. I bought a yukata (second hand, yet never used), a pair of chopsticks, a notebook with very funny engrish on it, and a lucky cat phone dangle thing for abotu $25 at the japanese fair yesterday. The yukata was the biggest find. Cotton and is pink with sakura blossums on it. I've been wanting one for a while now, I saw it and i just had to have it. The...
  16. Eeeek, applebees has a habit of having major CC issues not good.
  17. i'm another who just dabs it on with a paper towel.
  18. If you guys get makeup from Ulta, I know they'll take back returns (say you try it and don't like it). They also have cupons running all the time.
  19. Part of me thinks some doctors should look into more than just the horses; there are zebras too ya know. Some doctors are antibiotic happy. I kid not. I was given one (by a nurse pratitioner i think or something) when i had a fever of 101 (after tolyenal), stomach issues, vomiting, etc (this was the incident that sent me to the ER with a "mild" allergic...
  20. In my opinion, we'll all die of something someday. So it isn't worth worrying over such things (such as the rice).
  21. I'd go for the biopsy first if he is having stomach issues. They might be able to see something whilst in there getting them.
  22. I've been regarded as a hypocondriact and left to it. I'd rather be that than sick.
  23. making a beef and veggie soup
