  1. what would everyone like to see in a gluten free cookbook? im having sections like 'kids' 'christmas' 'snacks' 'dinner' etc... i create alot of my own recipes and then record them, test them over and over, and then put them in my notebook ready to go in my gluten free cookbook i will hopefully someday publish! im only 22 and i figure if im going to be trying...
  2. i had migraines my entire childhood until i found a really good chiropracter. now with regular visits i dont get them. its worth a try!

  5. ive been taking a probiotic and im also on aloe vera and glutamine casules. im just so imptient and frustrated with my body
  6. i have now but i think that may have been the problem. im in pain from about 16 days ago. it just seems never ending. today i have nausea aswell i dont understand what im doing so wrong. im basically livng on veggies and eggs. i had an allergy test and im fine with everything im eating so i dont get it
  7. the problem i have is that one day ill be 80% perfect and the next ill be bedridden for 2 weeks again. its a rollarcoaster and i think depends alot on what im eating. its very hard some days
  8. wow thanks so much for sharing your story! it gives me hope that someone like you can go through that and come out being able to exercise and have no pain. i think i have a corn allergy so i avoid that, and im also about to trial a lactose free diet to see if the pain goes away at all. its so frustrating trying to figure all this out but i guess i will get...
  9. i am having a hard time seeeing the light at the end of this very dark tunnel. i was in hospital 2 months ago before being diagnosed with celiac. since being on the diet i have gotten so much better but still spend some days in bed. my current situation is that im in so much pain lately that ive been in bed for 2 weeks has anyone had such severe symptoms...

  11. it sounds like a strange question, but can we use hot wheat bags? when i get pain i want to use one ut its made with wheat so im apprehensive...
  12. i have 1000mg capsules and it says take 1-5 per day. how many is enough? i was thinking 2 capsules twice a day maybe??
  13. has anyone taken L Glutamine tablets for celiac damage? if so, what results have you had? are they worth it? im in bed every couple of days in pain. and no im not being glutened im literally living on fruit and veg and im still like this. i just have lots of damage

  15. in february i was admitted to hospital after being unable to eat for 4 days and put on a drip to save my life. i was sick for 6 months prior to that and couldnt work. i found out im celiac and have started to recover after going gluten free. its been 2 and a half months and im still having days where i dont get out of bed because of the pain. some days however...
  16. no celiacs can never eat gluten again.. and yes i found out i was celiac in feb and im still struggling. im not back at work. but it can take months or even a year to get better so dont stress. ive had to accept it.
  17. i was hospitalized with pain and inflamation to the point where i couldnt eat for 4 days. i had a positive blood test. when i had the endoscopy the looked ant it and said it was definitely celiac but the biopsy came back negative. i went gluten free anyway and have never looked back. im out of hospital and free from pain for the first time in 6 months. sometimes...
  18. my boyfriend is having a really hard time coping since i went to hospital and was diagnosed with celiac. i have been off work for 6 months and gluten free now for 2. i am improving but still not enough to return to work. its very up and down and i struggle witht the emotions of it all too. he cant deal with us not having a relationship because of my sickness...

  21. i work in a resataurant where i cook, clean, serve, and prepare food. it is a seafood restauant so we use alot of crumbing and floured fish. can this make me sick if im working with it? or is it just if i ingest it? like can i get my hands dirty and not worry? im a little apprehensive to go back to this job once ive recovered from being in hospital due to...
  22. you could be iron deficient which comes along with celiac. this causes muscle cramps and aches. ask for full blood work rather than just a blood test, but particularly get your iron checked.
  23. yes my doctor was very brief too but i am booked in to see a nutritionist that they recommended for me. i cant wait to get some more info maybe you should ask your doctor to recommend you one too. i went through the hospital that did my endoscopy and got it free, but i live in australia so im unsure what your situation is like. good luck!
  24. i dont want this to come out wrong, but im so glad someone is in the same boat as me! i suffered like you for 6 months. i have been gluten free for 2 months and yes it gets better!! you will improve daily, but just know you will have days of feeling like crap. this is normal. although your level of feeling low gradually gets higher nd higher which is great...
  25. yeh the first 2 weeks i improved but still went down hill every few days hope you get better very soon! also, 16 months wow. i dont know if i can cope with that haha. huess id have to huh. i think im in for the long recovery too though considering how i feel and the fact that i ended up in hospital on a drip for 2 days.
