    OK, it just dawned on me that if my celiac panel comes back positive I can't EVER have a warm, chewy roll just out of the oven, a slice of bread, donut, or ooey, gooey cinnamon roll again. Wow.     She has already had the celiac panel done and it was negative. Her GI told me to get tested and I have an appt. tomorrow with my GP and I'm going to have him test my blood. Her GI said she would most likely do a biopsy/scope/colonoscopy in 2 months if her symptoms (chronic D) have not improved. I am really hoping my bw is positive, so I won't feel as guily...

    My 14 mo. old is in the 97th percentile for height and in the 40th for weight, she is very tall and skinny for her age, "long and lean" as her ped. said at her 12 mo. check up. She has the pot belly too, and her legs and arms are slim. Her ped doesn't think she could possibly have celiac, but the GI we were referred to does not think it is out of the question...

    My 14 mo old LOVES welches fruit snacks, I'm pretty sure they would fit your criteria. They are pretty soft and easy for her to chew (supervised).

    I forgot to add that I have defective tooth enamal, brain fog (oh my gosh it's bad), crazy bad itchy breakouts all over my body (they aren't blisters though), and keratosis plaris. In college I suffered tremenduosly with D regularly until I was at least 25. It was always worse after eating a fatty meal.     Yes the GI we saw did mention the bloodwork is basically useless. She's already been tested and the celiac panel was negative.     Does anyone know if untreated celiac goes into remission during pregnancy? I have heard other autoimmune diseases do. When I was pregnant 2 years ago I felt GREAT and didn't need a nap, which was really surprising because normally I need a 2-3 hour nap just to make it thru the day.     Has anyone used 23 and Me to find out if they carry the celiac genes? Do they give you detailed information about specific genes or just tell you that you are at increased risk for x, y, and z.     The Dr. did test the ALP again, we are still waiting on results. In addition he is testing GGT, calcium, and vitamin d. Her liver ultrasound was normal, thank goodness.     We had the ultrasound and more bloodwork this morning. I really hope we get some answers, she hates having a needle stuck in her arm.
