  1. Interestingly, my 18 month old gobbled it up . She doesn't really know what it supposed to taste like anyway, lol! Hubby and I threw the rest away after a bite or two... Will keep trying.
  2. 4. Lost count 5. 1-2 weeks
  3. Thanks for the encouragement! I'll have to try the one you recommend another time
  4. I just had to weigh-in, tonight I tried making a pizza crust for the first time since going gluten free in July. I used the bisquick recipe and it was inedible it was SO disgusting! This was my first attempt to try to replace a gluten item, and I am discouraged I would honestly rather do without (truth be told I don't even miss those foods)!!
  5. I get the same headaches, and have been considering gall bladder dysfunction might be the cause. Not too uncommon for people with gluten intolerance from what I understand. Several close relatives have had gall bladders removed. Google "gallbladder headache" and see if yor symptoms match too!
  6. I have always had a perfect 28 day cycle. The last two periods have been out of whack!! I have been gluten-free since July 15 of this year. My last period came two days early and I am currently two days late (still waiting). why would going gluten-free cause this? Eta: I am 32, didn't realize this was on the teenagers forum
  7. It's a southern thing, a chicken stuffed inside a duck stuffed inside a turkey (believe it or not)!
  8. Fruit salad, deviled eggs, pickles (on the relish tray with the olives), baked apples, corn, oh my goodness I am looking forward to Thanksgiving!!
  9. I had a Vegas nerve attack while on the toilet just a few weeks ago, even fainted! Mushroom, is there something you have done to keep it from happening again?
  10. I think that if you react to wheat only, it is likely a wheat allergy. Gluten intolerance and celiac disease are very similar, in that the treatment is the same - avoidance of gluten from wheat, barley and rye. From what I understand a person is considered gluten intolerant if they have celiac disease symptoms, improve on a gluten free diet, but do not...
  11. Yes, I too highly suspect that I actually have celiac disease rather than gulten intolerance. I have defective tooth enamel and have had stomach problems for as long as I can remember. Currently my biggest complaints are neuro symptoms, some of which have improved since going gluten free over 3 months ago. Personally I am not all tempted to cheat on the...
  12. My sister was misdiagnosed as having cushings, Thank God she sought a second opinion before having the surgery! I am gluten intolerant and suspect she may be as well.
  13. The Kirkland brand (Costco) labels items that are gluten free. I just bought the bodywash, and it was a great price!!
  14. thank you for the derssing recipe

  15. My favorite dressing is 3 tblsp olive oil, 1 tblsp balsamic vin, 1 tblsp jam (I like strawberry or raspberry) and salt and pepper. It is so good! I use my mini food processor to blend it together.
  16. Wow!! I was given zofran in an iv and was fine but had a reaction ( chest pain, tightening) to the oral pill before I knew I was gluten intolerant.
  17. Btw, I thought snickers were gluten-free! Please tell me I wasn't mistaken!!!!
  18. Too late for me I bought some candy last night. I've binged on snickers, m&m's, reese's pb cups, and almond joys. I am hiding it right now, out of sight out of mind!!
  19. Hmmm, has anyone tried to use this recipe for dinner rolls?
  20. I know it's early to start thinking about Thanksgiving, but I can't help it! It must be the cooler weather This Thanksgiving will be my first gluten free "food" holiday and I was interested in gathering all your tried and true recipes so I can start experimenting. I saw this thread earlier about pie crusts and will have to try the vinegar pie crust...
  21. I'm sure they switched because of the risk of exposure to peanuts for people who are allergic. I used to work in the public schools before my daughter was born and every school had a policy against bringing in CFA because there are just so many kids with severe peanut allergy these days.
  22. I used to do the same thing to my friends, especially in college. Now that I'm in my early 30s, I do regret it a little bit. I don't know how old you are. I realize that when I was in college, my social life was much busier, but now when I make plans to spend time with friends I never back out unless I'm bedridden for one reason or another. I am a home...
  23. Thank you both very much for the replies. I really hope I don't have to give up dairy, but may try it. I think for now I am going to be very strict with the gluten and not eat anything processed or anything I haven't prepared myself. Hopefully I can keep my symptoms at bay by doing that and will be better able to tell how I feel. If not, I may have to...
  24. I get my headaches over my right eye and at the base of my skull on the right side simultaneously. I really think gallbladder might be an issue for me in addition to gluten. Open Original Shared Link
