  1. Merika, I don't know if you've ever buy the Envirokidz-Crispy Rice Bars for your ds or not, but I have gotten the berry flavor a few times. One the outside of the box it says canola oil. I just noticed the indiv. wrapers say canola and or soybean oil. I called yesterday and they say that due to a shortage of avalability of organic canola oil, they are switching...
  2. MySuicidalTurtle: The California Baby Super Sensitive is Fragrance Free. Our whole family uses it. Judy 04: You can purchase the products directly from their website. 3. My child is allergic to soy also. I've found that she also reacts to soybean oil and soy lectin. She gets eczema patches become red and itchy after eating soy. She also has a change in temperment, just as she does with her other allergies and gluten. Soy seems to be hiding in all sorts of places.
  4. Thanks Mariann! I'm glad to know that their are lots of juices to chose from. I just love the frosting container idea......you're so inventive! I like to dilute my daughter's juice when we're at home with water and the rubbermade boxes would be perfect. These boxes would be great for the rice milk also. I've only seem the "NO NO" Rice Dream in the boxes...
  5. As many of you are doing, we're getting ready for preschool. I plan on having a box of gluten-free snacks that I can leave at the school. Are there any gluten-free juice boxes and gluten-free rice milk boxes, that are snack size? We don't drink much juice at home so I new to gluten-free juices. On a daily basis I'm sure I can just put water in her thermos...
  6. Back to tortillas again. I've been to our local grocery stores and they only carry the flour tortillas from Mission. I contacted the supplier in hopes that they'll consider carrying the corn tortillas. The only corn tortillas I can find are Pepitos. Does anyone know about these tortillas? Thanks
  7. I've gotten the lite, organic coconut milk and added stevia to make yummy popsicles. I also have a recipe for homemade rice milk if you want it. My first recipe and attempt wasn't that good but my second was much better. I sweetened the milk with stevia and cinnamon. I strain it several times and often add alcohol free flavorings from Frontier Herb. My homemade...
  8. Hi, I'm trying to come up with a waffle recipe that is free of common allergens. Does anyone have a recipe they might be willing to share? I'm having a difficult time making a tastey gluten-free, CF, Soy Free, Egg Free, Flax Free and Bean Free waffle. My attemps so far have been gooey!! Thanks!!!
  9. When we're traveling, I often make pasta salad. I use "fun" shaped gluten-free noodles and add chopped veggies and chicken. Recently, I've used Annie's Naturals, Low Fat Honey Mustard Vinaigrette. The dressing is gluten-free and doesn't contain dairy, soy, or eggs. I just throw it in a soft cooler with an ice pack. My 3 year old often picks through the salad...

  11. We just tried the Ener-g Tapioca Hamburger Buns and they we're good. (Maybe it's that we haven't had a hamburger on a bun in soooo long!) I wrapped them in foil and tossed them on the grill. They also make hotdog buns but I haven't tried them yet. The Ener-g products are good for those who have multiple food intolerances!
  12. Hi Annie, I just wanted to share that my Rheumy said that some viruses can cause a positive ANA. I had lots of joint pain and back pain last summer and I tested positive for a Rheumatoid Factor and a moderate, speckled ANA. I had the tested repeated and it came back the same. I felt so bad I started on a total body detoxificating and candida program. After...

So we added the DariFree to her diet...

  20. Yeepie Sunni, this is very helpful. Thanks for the link to your recipes, what a treat. I had no ideas that nutritional yeast could be eating by those with candida. I had just always passed it by at the health food stores.
  21. I know you must have mixed emotions with the biopsy results. Since I'm still new to celiac disease maybe someone else can share the statistics and details of gene testing. I think Katies' recommendation of testing for other food intolerances is a wonderful idea. My daughter had rashes and they couldn't decided what they we're "maybe eczema and maybe...
  22. Hi, I know this has to be frustrating. Not being able to communicate with your child is very difficult. I know at times I feel like I'm always saying NO. My daughter is 3 and after about 9 months or so I think she's starting to relate the physcial aspects of eating foods that make her sick. As your son gets older he might start understanding your explaination...
  23. Thanks so much Michelle!!!! I'm e-mailing these links to all my Celiac family!!
