About Me

Newly diagnosed Celiac.

Living gluten-free since September 25th, 2011.

  1. I just wanted to thank the original poster of this thread. After reading this I will be calling my Dr in the morning. I thought hair loss, fatigue and weird vision were something that will eventually go away. (I have been gluten-free since last Aug) But none of them have.
  2. Thanks Skylark. I mentioned early menopause to my Dr and she doesnt think so. I just wish I was never sick again.
  3. I was born in the UK and grew up in NZ. I looked at the soy allergy you posted and was surprised that that is a lot of what I have. Going to call my Dr on Monday and ask about being tested. Thanks!
  4. Hello, I am now on day 86 of being gluten-free and its been going ok. I have my up and down days, but I hear thats normal. The past few days I have not been feeling well. I dont know whether its celiac related or im just getting sick. I just spoke with my gastro (his assistant) she said it doesnt sound like anything celiac but she would ask him when...
  5. Im almost 6 weeks gluten-free. I can finally DRIVE!!! The dizzyness is gone.
  6. Oh man. I will call their Dr 2moro and see what they say. They are terrified of having blood drawn.
  7. Thank you. I really appreciate ANY and ALL help. I do live with my husband and 2 children (5 & 8). I am the only one living gluten-free. I was told to test them both, but dont see a need at this point. If they start showing symptoms then I definately will.
  8. Yes, I have had a lot of my symptoms go away in the past 4 weeks. I guess I just want them ALL gone, yesterday.
  9. Thank you!! I am taking 2000iu's a day of Vitamin D. A test showed VERY low levels before all this started. I will call my Dr on Monday.
  10. Phew! I was beginning to wonder if I was getting gluten, but couldnt figure out how. I am writing down everything I eat. To help with possible contamination. I email or call on anything new I eat. Im so worried about getting sick again. I also have canker sores in my mouth, more on my tongue and my teeth are really sensitive. Is this also normal...
  11. Into my 5th week of living gluten free. Hoping more symptoms go away soon!

  13. This can affect your teeth? Oh my. I am newly diagnosed and the last few weeks I am noticing my teeth are VERY sensitive. I have numbness in my hands and feet. Its driving me crazy! I really hope this is also part of it and it goes away. My body literally 'crashed' the end of June (long story) and since being on a gluten-free diet for 4 weeks I am already...
