  1. What do you mean by "crispy" m&ms? In canada we only have plain and the ones with peanuts.
  2. I think I've had gluten today. The only different things that I ate from my usual were watermelon and cod fish. I get the cod from a local market, but I don't know what the ingredients are...I just assumed that it would be gluten free. Is it possible that it was preserved with a gluten containing substance? I could possibly be allergic to the cod itself...
  3. Please email unzipped to DebbieCamilo@sympatico.ca
  4. I am proud to announce that my stools are no longer floating, and that they are not as broken as they were 2 weeks ago. I am also only pooping once a day now. This is amazing since I glutened myself on Saturday. My tummy is still big, but it is much smaller and the pressure is gone. Just hoping that this lasts (keeping fingers crossed). Now if I could...
  5. Oats are really bad for me: I don't handle them well at all!!!!! Not sure how they affect others, but I can't eat them.
  6. Thanks. You're a sweetheart. We don't have the Vitamin Shoppe here in Canada, but I'll check my local drug store.
  7. Thanks Kaiti. I have another question for ya. Can they be purchased over the counter and can you recommend any name brands?
  8. Ha ha. I was reading the Oprah link....Guess I'm out of luck as a celiac since I have the unhealthy broken stools. No long S-shaped stools in my toilet bowl!!!
  9. Kaiti....I've noticed you pointing out the probiotics and enzymes a few times. Can you tell me what they are? Thanks a million.
  10. Hmm...that is interesting...the allergic reaction. I think it may be the dairy. I had some icecream and I know that I am allergic to all dairy (scratch test). Maybe in addition to being celiac, I am also allergic to wheat. I know that my stomach is as big as a house when I eat gluten.
  11. It is funny how quickly we forget. It is true what you are saying though....I'll definitely remember this episode! Does anyone else swell up when they are gluttoned? Even my lips are swollen!
  12. I intentionally cheated yesterday and am paying for it today. I went to a wedding that had superb food, and I caved. The food was soooo amazing, but right after I ate I had diarrhea!!! This morning I woke up with swollen feet, lips, hands and belly. Not a good sign. I had been gluten-free for 2 weeks....almost forgot how bad I felt before. I feel...
  13. I think that I am having trouble with starches, which is kind of scary. I'm hoping that this goes away soon b/c I don't want to starve. There aren't many options left at this point...even rice is bothering me. SIGH.
  14. I called Berlex Canada and they assured me that Diane 35 is gluten and wheat free.
  15. No symptoms??? I quote: "she has no symptoms (only osteoporosis, hypothyroidism, arthritis, chronic allergies and sinusitis, balance problems and chronic fatigue)". Sounds like symptoms to me!!!
  16. I'm a gainer too. I get really bloated and have lots of pressure in my tummy.

    ARCHIVED Infertility

Eloisa, Isn't it truly astonishing??? The more I learn about celiac, the more all of my health problems make sense to me. The prolactin is a concern, because it indicates higher villi damage. This is all somewhat terrifying, but at least now we can start to heal our bodies. It's like a whole new world awaits...one that I've never known. I have never...

I also have PCOS and high prolactin levels. I do not get my period unless I am on the birth control pill. I am hoping that I will start getting my period with this new diet. I'm really afraid that I might take a long time to heal though b/c I've had this all my life: I was plagued with health problems as a child, had delayed puberty and NEVER had regular...
  21. It is truly amazing that I went undiagnosed all these years. I've had so many health issues, yet no doctor made the connection. I have NEVER had regular periods (sometimes one per year), and also had high prolactin yet no doctor was able to figure it out until now. I'm kind of worried b/c I read that presence of high prolactin and FSH is associated...
  22. I found a link yesterday that indicates that there is a link between high levels of prolactin and celiac. Anyone else have this problem?
  23. Bananas constipate??? I had no idea.
  24. I'm getting the reflux/burp problem too. Does anyone know if it will go away on gluten-free diet???
  25. I feel for you. I'm beginning to think that I can't eat anything too!!! Maybe we just have to give our guts some time to heal for the bloating to go away. Do you also get reflux, burping and the hiccups? I couldn't stop the burping/reflux yesterday. I'm not sure if it is actually worse after going gluten-free!!! Maybe I'm just more conscious of it....
