  1. Still struggling here...will be heading to the Mayo Clinic on Sunday.

Taking a medication for the anxiety of dealing with this big life change sounds like a good idea? I hope it helps you feel a bit more at ease.

  2. Hi, I saw that you visited me so I returned the visit.

    Hope you are doing well.

I finally figured out my most recent food issues and am finally doing great after a long series of elimination/challenge diets.

It can be really hard to come up with the right things to eliminate!

  3. i been gluten free since october and my stomach hasnt been perfect but it hasnt been that bad. but last night me and my boyfriend got into an argument and ten minutes later i felt like i had food poisoning. stomach turning, bloating, burning and i had to fight not to throw up. it got better after 20 minutes but ugh still felt icky. no diarrhea or vomiting...

  6. My son also has a speech impediment. Does anyone know if celiac can slow child development?? He will be three in January and he's not really talking and has some other development issues.
  7. I think people with no problem, especially men, don't understand because it's not happening to them. My boyfriend, bless is heart he is sweet, is always offering me a bite of his food, or chips he gets, or beef jerky, and oreo cookies. Im getting tired of explaining why i can't eat it, but at least he's being sweet =]]
  8. you would know by the biopsy they took when they did the endoscopy
  9. welcome to my world :/ my mother also tries sneaking it into my food. Like the Bolivian cubes. i was like "i cant eat this it says traces of wheat" and she's like "They only use it as a binder" and im like 'someone slap me.'
  10. carpol tunnel?? thats balogne! I do get shaky alot and hypoglycemia does run in my family so i will defintitely take note to that!
  11. corn causes bloating because they are hard to digest. try eating corn on the cob and when you use the bathroom 2-3 days later (thats how long itusually takes to come out) and if you see peices of corn your not able to digest them. onions cause acid indigestion which cause bloating. So does garlic. Peppers can be hard to digest. Eggs can cause gas. Rough meats...
  12. sounds like me im always fighting the urge to puke. I been close to puking a couple times. sometimes i wish i could so i would feel a little better. But unfortunately im not much of a puker. I just have to sit there and suffer and wait it out

  15. I had a miscarriage too :/ I think i have had a couple. I have one son already i had him before i got sick. My wishes and luck go out to you. I know you can still have celiac and eat right and you can still get flare ups. For no reason- you can have other food allergies too that can be making you sick. try eliminating certain food groups. i know dairy can...
  16. Lately i've noticed ill be laying with my arm out or just normal and my hands and wrist area starts "going to sleep" and starts tingling. It didnt matter if it was in a bad position or not it could be normal and it would just start falling asleep. Is that a side effect with someone with celiac?
  17. If he has celiac disease or not, he should still follow gluten free diet. I have learned from several doctors that gluten is hard to digest. And judging from what i read his stomach is on fire! Rice- absorbs acid & other bad fluids. Sirloin is hard to digest! He shouldn't be eating tough meat. Boiled chicken is the easiest meat to digest and contains...
  18. with all due respect i agree with Irish. bland diet is the best way to go. I could NOT tolerate gluten free processed foods whatsoever! I ate some gluten free bread and i had same reaction as before. My diet consisted of Rice with steamed veggies with a pinch of salt. I also noticed that smoothies i could tolerate very well instead of eating the actual fruit...
  19. I don't get the cause for the mucus though. And the strong crampy feeling that's not always associated with going number 2. I just don't get it. The other day it was painful
  20. anxiety?? That's how i feel when i start freaking out. Pounding heart and blood rushing especially. It feels like my blood is rushing and heart is pounding too. Especially with panich attacks
  21. Ok so i been eating rice and my gluten free diet full of rice foods. the acid reflux has stopped but i been taking some digestive enzymes (papaya works best) and some gluten free, fiber powder you dissolve in your drinks. The acid reflux has stopped and bloating has been going down but now i have some new symptoms. 1 i been having mucus in stool accompanied...
  22. Vitamin C is one of the most important nutrients for healthy teeth and gums. It is an antioxidant that reduces inflammation, boosts the immune system to help fight bacteria that cause infection and heals the gums. Eat plenty of foods that are rich in vitamin C such as citrus fruits, spinach and broccoli to obtain enough of this essential nutrient for healthy...
  23. Raw vegetables & peanuts = gas. Another cause of gas is lack of good bacteria to help digest food. Maybe try eating foods with natural probiotics in them. And a great, all natural, enzyme you can use is papaya. Its a digestive enzyme that helps with gas. Works wonders I even give it to my dog sometimes when he has tummy issues
  24. exercise is the best natural cure for anxiety & depression. even going on a ten minute walk will lessen it. A Lavender bubble bath will also help and even ask your significant other to give you a back massage or foot massage. Mine does that and it makes such a difference! Anxiety disorders run in my family so even without this disease im still having...
  25. I ate some last night~ doesn't really affect me to much. I put extra butter on it too. i have a problem eating corn tortillas or cornbread. Weird how popcorn doesn't bother me but other stuff made with corn does...
