  1. im not celiac. i believe there is an underlying cause for me to be gluten intolerent. docotrs say it is hereditary. but no one has had celiacs disease in my family traced all the way back to the 1800's. so why after an antibiotic does this happen? why even on the gluten free diet does my stomach feel bloated and sick? i don't believe i have full blown celiacs...
  2. so cute! kids are so honest and caring!
  3. oh i ate gluten before my blood tests. i had no idea that it could be a gluten allergy. i was eating sandwhiches and tons of canned soups. thats why im puzzled
  4. i will stay gluten free just because it is a healthy lifestyle but i would like to test it out. but im not going to do so until years. i need to continue researching. its said because when i interview gi doctors, their very limited on information
  5. your body could be cleansing and if you drink the daily amount of water it might be going through you faster because its cleansing you. but it also sounds like a urinary tract infection so i would suggest getting that tested first.
  6. candida can cause earaches and a gluten sensitivity. i would try going on a candida diet but make sure the diet is gluten free just to rule out probable cause. look at the candida symptoms and see if they match yours. have you taken an antibiotic recently? earaches are associated with a food allergy but i have never heard any patients at the doctors complain...
  7. stool color depends on the way the food was digested. since the intestines are damaged its not giving the liver enough time to deliver bile which causes yellowish/pale stool because its passed through the body too fast. its just part of celiacs disease. i would suggest a bland, gluten free diet to heal her gut. and when he/she gets older give them a papaya...
  8. oh im sorry i read incorrect your talking about zuchini bread! use applesauce!!! i put that in my pumpkin bread with only half the amount of sugar required and couldnt tell the difference!
  9. snickers are gluten free supposedly but it sounds like you ate a milky way and they dont give me such a bad reaction but when i ate them the next day i felt better and ate something heavy like chicken and potatoes and i felt bloated which meant the malt damaged my intestines and it made it harder for my food to digest. i would suggest not eating it again...
  10. i have found the yeast used in baked bread to make me sick due to the type of flour (rice, potato, etc) if it isnt dissolving right the bread wont come out right and it can give the runs to the bathroom. as a sugar substitute you could try applesauce to make it a little thicker. or use less sugar and make rolls and not a loaf of bread. everytime i try to...
  11. i have found avocados, chocolate, coconut milk, and nuts to be irritating to the gut aswell. going gluten free stops more inflammation my goal to get across is you need to heal the inflammation. going gluten free is a step but its part of the solution. you need to heal your gut before you can digest and really feel better.
  12. i also forgot to include that antibiotics are in alot of meats and they damage the healing gut process so id suggest to eat organic meats while trying to heal. even gluten free foods are hard to digest so you need to heal your gut before going all out. they have some great gluten free recipes out there to enjoy! ive recently discovered gluten free chocolate...
  13. oh i meant heal the gut before indulging in all the gluten free foods because even alot of gluten free foods can still be irritating to the stomach. my diet is completely gluten free. i apologize for not phrasing it correctly
  14. hello. i am 21 years old going to medical school. after taking an antibiotic i have developed stomach problems. i went with out a clue for 1 year. now i finally had an endoscopy done and they took a biopsy which confirmed damaged villi which usually indicates gluten intolerance. now i believe (due to no medical history of celiacs disease in my family confirmed...
  15. sounds like you have a pinch of leaky gut syndrome. your stomach is not fully healed. imagine an inflamed belly you need to soothe it. certain foods even in the gluten free diet can be irritating. avoid salt, refined sugar, carbonating drinks, heavy meats, raw vegetables. you need to heal your gut. take L- glutamine 1 hour before breakfast and 1 hour before...
  16. i never said to not eat gluten free- i cant seem to find where ive said that. you need to start eating foods to heal your gut. all the foods ive mentioned are gluten free and apart of the leaky gut diet (which is gluten free- ive combined 3 diets into one- the candida diet, the gluten free diet, and the leaky gut diet) everyhing is gluten free, and it will...
  17. if your gut isn't fully healed it can cause heavy foods to give you indigestion such as meats (chicken, steak, ground beef) potatoes, etc. also stress and anxiety can definitly cause you to get indigestion. indigestion can give you acid reflux. but id relate it to stress because i always get a nervous stomach when im stressed and i get indigestion and acid...
  18. lactose intolerant of course is very common with celiacs. i would suggest to start healing your gut. diet alone is not enough and it will take longer for you to feel better. imagine your gut inflamed and swollen. now imagine rubbing salt into a wound. if you put acidic foods such as ketchup, salt, refined sugar, carbonating drinks, alcohol, pineapples, etc...
  19. and fyi- theres a difference between celiacs disease and gluten intolerence- these are my beliefs due to what ive researched. celiacs disease can go away in children when they hit adult years. celiacs disease is usually permanent in adults. also if you have gluten intolerence it does not mean u have celiacs disease. when you have a damaged gut you develop...
  20. just because you have gluten intolerance DOES NOT MEAN U HAVE CELIACS DISEASE. gluten intolerence can develop from alot of things. leaky gut syndrome is one of them. a year ago i took an antibiotic for 3 weeks to prevent an infection and it hurt my stomach so bad and ever since ive had this gluten intolerence. when you have a biopsy it checks for damaged...
  21. if there is a kmart by u they sell loafs of gluten free bread. u should put him on the "brat diet" (my mom calls is that) its toast, applesauce, rice, herbal tea (no coffee) etc. stay away from heavy meats such as chicken, definitely ground beef, and steak. i found fresh fish with boiled spinach to be helpful and eggs for protein. my symptoms come and go...
  22. actually blisters can be in the small intestine with celiacs disease. its uncommon but possible
  23. chocolate can upset ur stomach, milk can definitly upset your stomach. just because one has damaged vili doesnt necessarily mean u have celiacs disease. has he taken an antibiotic lately? could be the bacteria in the gut. does he have burning sensation sometimes after he eats. indigestion can make you throw up and feel horrible. his stomach could be inflamed...
  24. hmmmmm that makes sense i havent had any major rashes but i do get dandruff for no reason and my scalp gets intensly itchy and a couple month ago i got this intense blotchy red patch on my face that was itching and was spreading down my neck when i itched it. and it was secreting a yellowish liquid. didnt look like anything i saw on google so i wasnt sure...
