  1. What is WNL? What thyroid stuff?
  2. I guess I am wondering, my cycles have been 10 days, right now they are actually normal, but the hot flashes are freaking me out. Are these signs of early menepause? I just got an ultra sound of my thyroid. I passed out a couple times with my kids while we were alone! I haven't gotten the results back yet from ultrasound, but I am not cold anymore. Now I...
  3. Some of you may have read some of my prior posts under different topics. Not sure where to start...I was diagnosed with DH, via skin biopsy @ 13 yrs. old. Until recently, I have been on 100mg. of Dapsone everyday since then. I am now 36 and haven't been taking Dapsone for a little over a year (only gluten free since late November 2011). At first not taking...
  4. Is there a diagnostic test for this? Do you have it? Can you make horrible noises with your stomach, only by breathing? Do Dr.s believe in it?
  5. Can someone give some definitive information about what leaky gut is exactly? I have googled it several times and there is so much different info out there. I am very curious.
  6. Has anyone tested out a "normal" recipe substituting gluten-free oat flour for wheat flour, with no other flours or sustitutions?
  7. I didn't realize that.I think I have unwillingly been glutening myself by using my family's toaster to toast my gluten free bread. I don't think that I took cross contamination as seriously as I should have. Anyhow, I have been getting bumps again lately on the back of my neck, insides of my elbows, scalp. I haven't had a full fledged break out like that...
  8. Udi's has cinnamon raisin bread that is amazing. I hate the Bisquick gluten free. It tastes like bad corn bread. Try Pamela's products! Also, I make chicken nuggets for my kids with gluten free oat flour batter....
  9. Have you tried Udi's bread? In my opinion, so far it is the best. It's better yet if you toast before making a sandwich/ toast, whatever. The brown rice pasta at Trader Joe's is great. I haven't really had any others that I thought were even edible. They also sell gluten free oats there! Hooray! They taste fresh, and are very affordable compared to Bob's...
  10. If you have been glutened, how long until DH blisters show up?
  11. Not sure if it is related, but I too have had problems with my ankles most of my life. No warning, just all the sudden fall down because one of my ankles will just give. Interesting
  12. When I was first diagnosed with DH I was 13. I am now 36. I don't think they knew a lot about gluten free back then. They mentioned it to my Mom at the time, but they said it was impossible and impossible to even try it. I can only imagine the damage I have done to my body.
  13. I do realize that. I guess I have just been confused by the fact that Dr.s don't. I told a GI Doc that I had DH, he did endoscopy and concluded that I did not have celiac disease. He acted like I was crazy, which is crazy, because you would think that a GI Dr. would no about the relationship between DH and celiac disease. What is most confusing to me is that...
  14. I just read so many posts concerning this topic. I love this site. Nevermind my question. I found my answers!
  15. Anyone else come up with a negative result from endoscopy and from blood test, but test positive for DH? How is this possible?
  16. Not asking for you to do anything out of line....I live in Dayton OH, and am really having dr. issues. If you r not comfortable, it's cool.
  17. Hey Luddie, where do you live at in ohio? I need a good doc, who is knowledgable about DH/ celiac! Erin
  18. So, I have ADD, and I am currently enrolled in biochemistry. I need to have the ability to pay attention. I recently started taking straterra, as I have any time I have been in college, and otherwise I am gluten free. Does anyone know if straterra is gluten free?
  19. I am also always freezing, as my mother is too. We both have reynauds. I dont know if that has anything to do with the coldness, but I am Gluten-Free for a month now, and am getting colder:-( It's honestly freekish how cold I get. My husband got me an electric blanket. That helps. We have a hot wood burning fireplace in a small room. That helps. Sometimes...
  20. I too am battling constant loose stool diarhea with my 25 month old son. He has even been hospitalized for dehydration twice! My son currently eats wheat and loves it, I might add. When he was in the hospital last time he had an endoscopy with 10 biopsies done. The dr. said no celiac. He also had the blood test. No celiac. There seems to be no rhyme...
  21. I should add that I am on a strict gluten free diet now, 1 month! but still have random intense itching. I havr not been on dapsone for 7 months and DH hasnt shown up.
  22. I was on Dapsone for 21 years. 100 mg.a day. It was a life saver. I only about a month ago have went gluten free. Dapsone controlled my symptoms COMPLETELY, except for random intense itching.
  23. any info on the candida diet? I am wondering if yeast is a problem for me.
  24. Hasselbeck is definitely celiac. She wrote an extraordinary book about it. No questions there!
