  1. I actually do a whole foods diet and little to no dairy, it hurts my stomach
  2. I should mention that I was deficient in Vit D, and ave been taking 5,000 IU's a day for 5 months now. I take a B-12 folate supplement, in addition to a MV. I have had my cortisol levels checked and they are dangerously low, I have been told. I can not however get any Drs. to take it seriously, that is what I am hoping for with the endocrinologist. As for...
  3. Shouldn't I have started to feel better on the Gluten-Free diet. I did it religiously for 13 mos. No change:-(
  4. So, I posted this post on someone else's topic, and I want it to get more attention than that, as my reply doesn't have its own title, and I could use some advice, suggestions. So I am sorry about the repeat, but here goes.... I have "had" celiac, via DH diagnosis for 23 years. I have taken Dapsone for 20 years (100mg.). I stopped the Dapsone maybe 1-...
  5. This is so scary for me to read!!!!!! My mother had THE exact same stuff! Baretts and all. Have you had an EGD? My Mom developed malignant neuro endocrine tumors. It turns out they were treating her for severe GERD b/c of reflux symptoms, but in a last ditch effort, they found out she was making NO stomach acid, and in fact was making WAY too much gastrin...

  7. I was strict with the diet for 1 year and one month, then I just started feeling like I was being restricted for no reason. I was showing NO signs of feeling better.

ARCHIVED Need A Dr In Dayton Oh

Did you find one? A doctor? I so need a good knowledgable one, and I am in Dayton, OH.
  9. Wow, this happens to me to! Do you think it is celiac related? Or a hypothyroid issue? What is your blood pressure like?
  10. I have "had" celiac, via DH diagnosis for 23 years. I have taken Dapsone for 20 years (100mg.). I stopped the Dapsone maybe 1-2 years ago. I was on a gluten free diet for about a year of that time (strict), after going off of the dapsone. I am eating a clean regular gluten included diet right now, but considering going gluten free again. To date, I have not...
  11. pancakes instead of running!

  12. So, my little dude wants a Dora doll for his birthday. I think his Daddy will be horrified, but its Wyatt's birthday, right? Plus its a potty Dora that he wants. Maybe he and Dora can potty together and get inspiration from eachother?!

  13. Same thing has been going on with me. You should have a saliva test done of your hormones (testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, and DHEA) I just had mine checked and they were really way off. Eating gluten for years, when you shouldn't throws off your body's chemistry. I am on compounded bio-identical hormone therapy now; we will see if it helps. By the...
  14. Possibility of neuro endocrine tumor having anything to do with celiac or gluten intolerance (or for that matter, manyfood intolerances)?
  15. I have celiac disease (dermatitis herpetiformus)and often when I have gotten a blood test, I have all the markers for lupus, but when they do the lupus panel, I don't have it. I googled "lupus and celiac" and tons of articles popped up.
  16. The itching has been so bad for me between the itching with no rash and the DH, that at times I have scratched with a sarrated steak knife, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  17. I have diagnosed DH, the skin's form of celiac. I get the bug under my skin itching sometimes with no rash. There was a while that I got it all the time. I too have hormone imbalance and am being treated for it now. Did you have all of your hormones checked, or just your cortisol? Was it saliva testing, as that is the gold standard? If not I recomend it!
  18. I can't wait to try! I hadn't considered it before, but is my celiac disease causing my joint stiffness and my aching foot pain? Geez! I didn't know that too. I have actually been getting ready to call the Dr. about my aching joints. I will first try Nettle tea.
  19. Like you, I wasn't dairy free at first. I though, whatever, like I am giving that up too! Anyhow, fast forward------> I am basically dairy free now, basically. After you start to feel better w/out the gluten, you want to know what feeling completely better feels like! I have tried all the "milks" and it is my experience that Blue Diamond almond milk is...
  20. the best thing is to try gluten-free diet. Some strains of celiac do never show up on a celiac panel or biopsy!
  21. Gluten free bisquick is mostly corn, i use gluten-free oat flour.
  22. Helps quite a lot. I have never stopped with sals and don't hink I will, as I don't think that I am having a reaction. My Mom is celiac, and on 2 baby aspirins a day for stroke risk. Does she need to consider something else or could some be fine?
  23. How would you know if you were having a reaction to sals? symptoms?
  24. I would advise eating whole foods and taking a high level probiotic! My first pregnancy did not receive the right nutrition, and was subsequently a very high risk pregnancy. It was very scary and my lil girl has complications from it to this day. I think a year on a good probiotic and Gluten-Free sounds like a perfect amount of time!
  25. You don't need to pump and dump unless your baby is celiac! About the only reason you should pump and dump is because you drank too much or you have HIV or hepatitis, that's it!
