  1. You guys/gals are Awesome! Thanks! I think I'll crack open a bottle right now after lunch!
  2. I'm looking for a good mouthwash so I called listerines hotline. The man said "No gluten ingrediates are put into the mouthwash, BUT we cannot guarantee that cross contamination MIGHT occur." Maybe the company is trying to cover there arse so to speak, and there products in reality are okay for us? Anyway, does anyone here use Listerine without getting...
  3. I did some research but couldn't find a definative answer about TONIC for Gin. I would love to know what type of Tonic water is acceptable to drink. I also hope the following list of Gin is still acceptable? GINS: Booths Gordons Gordons Citrus Gordons Wildberry Popov Thanks!
  4. This might be a little bit off topic but I feel its soooooo important. Always remember... EVERYTHING that comes in contact with your mouth can trigger symptoms. You need to be careful about Shampoos, Soaps, Make up etc. (Not just food) Alot of newly diagnosed people ignore the things I just stated...(Including ME lol!) I wish you the best!
  5. I had symptoms since about 1988, but went undiagnosed til 1993 or so. Way back then I got tested for Dairy intolerance and it was negative, I dont think I was ever tested for soy or corn...actually back then I did go to a allergist and they did that multiple test where they stick tons of needles in your forearm and test for a bunch of stuff. All I remember...
  6. Could you tell me the name of the generic Librax? I remember years ago taking Dicyclomine as well... I really appreciate your advice!!
  7. Let me add with regards to Mitral Valve Prolapse that STRESS can really increase symptoms.
  8. Not sure if this was mentioned but...I have Mitral Valve Prolapse (A heart valve keeps "flopping" around, sorta gets backed up and then releases) it is VERY common and the Dr says not to worry about it unless you get other symptoms of course) My symptoms were dull to severe chest pain, sorta like someone was squeezing my heart. I don't remember getting...
  9. Thanks! I just wanted to add that my Dr told me I have IBS as well. (I left that off of my original post)
  10. Well all of you have given me some courage, so thanks for encouraging me to write this. I have put off going back to college, I have given up better jobs for one reason. MY COLON SPASMS! and trust me it's not a cute little rumble, its LOUD...but more importantly it comes from my COLON and its hugely embarrasing!! I honestly hate being in a quiet room. ...
  11. Here is my thought process and please correct me if Im wrong... I believe if you scrape with a brush the grill and let the fire burn the grill shouldn't that destroy all the gluten? I mean fire really destroys things. (obviously) I can see that if you using a frying pan or a flat iron surface (ex a restaurant uses) then you need to worry about what was...
  12. This was posted earlier by Stephanie, I believe you couldn't find it because she misspelled the word. The original text appeared a couple of pages before this one Here is her comment I went to see my doctor today and told him about how I'm doing with my diet and he told me that out of all the people he's suggested go gluten free over the past 5 years...
  13. Sorry if this sounds rediculous but... Are there some gluten-free foods that you will not eat on a empty stomach? For instance I would get sick if I ate icecream on a empty stomach. But if I had some food first and then had the ice cream I did okay. Now I try to "coat" my stomach with some chips or something light before having ice cream... Is this wierd...
  14. I really have a great respect for alot of the people on this board. I know celiac3270 sent me his 2005 list of gluten foods and Kaiti has been soooooo nice with virtually every post I posted. I know how devestating this disease can be!! and for people to donate their time to helping others in this forum is AWESOME! (Personally, I have been wanting to ask...
  15. Glad I could contribute! I love this forum!
  16. I too suffer from anxiety/worry/ocd symptoms as well. And what worked for me was Celexa. (Now they have a generic as well) The benefits of Celexa is its NOT as habit forming as some of the other drugs already mentioned. (I weaned off it quite easily) For instance my Dr said Zoloft was really habit forming and caused diarrhea for some people. take care
  17. I FIGURED I WOULD GIVE A UPDATE ON CREST PRODUCTS SINCE I JUST EMAILED THEM YESTERDAY. ALL CREST PRODUCTS ARE GLUTEN FREE, HERE IS THERE RESPONSE I'd be more than happy to share this information regarding our Crest Toothpaste and Whitestrips. I'd like to assure you there is no Gluten in Crest Whitestrips nor any of our current versions of Crest Toothpaste...

I posted a question about anxiety/ocd/depression medications in the other forum on this website. I forget the exact forum name, but it had "Medicine" in the forum title. Hope this helps.
  20. A couple of years ago I got them every once in a while...But I never connected them to being Glutened! However, looking back that was probably the reason. Good topic Berneses!
  21. Wow!! I just posted and you responded immediatly!! This forum ROCKS!!!!! Its AWESOME celiacs helping celiacs!!! Its comforting to know that your not the only one dealing with this desease!!
  22. I've always found chips to be a easy call so to speak. Usually, they are just potato's, salt, and some oil... Now that you brought up cross contamination I'm getting worried... Kaitausa, I haven't heard of "staxx" what is it? Is it just a variety of "Lays"?? (I eat Lays pototo chips all the time) thanks
  23. I'm not positive but I think envelopes are something to avoid. I usually just use scotch tape to seal the envelopes.
  24. Remember to take the tablet Pepto WITH water! (Directions say not to chew and swallow without water) I recently went back to school and decided to be prepared for all problems. So, now I bring a bottle of water along with my pepto in case I need it during class.
  25. I have gallstones for over ten years now. The Doctor said they are "calcified" and they can stay in as long as I'm unaffected. If someone has had the surgery what does the scar look like? The reason I ask is I heard on some surgeries a Doctor can just use three tiny holes and remove the Gallbladder without MAJOR SCARING... The less "cutting" is always...
