  1. I just don't think she even has the results yet. Why ask if I have even seen the GI if you have my results back? Nobody wants an autoimmune disease, but a medical explanation as to why I was so sick since February would be nice.
  2. My primary doctor just called and said she "thinks" my biopsies came back okay. Alerted me that I was anemic, which we realized last year. I have not heard from the GI doctor. The conversation was weird. She asked me if I had seen the GI yet. If you are asking me that, then how would you think my biopsies came back okay?
  3. I haven't been diagnosted just yet, but I have suggested to my mom that she and one of my little sisters get tested. I have 3 sisters and the one that I am suggesting that she have tested has migraines to the point of vomiting and has recently been experiencing bloating after eating bread. Which is just crazy considering the fact that she is a fan of...
  4. What exactly is the cause of protein in your urine?
  5. Did your endoscopy come back positive?
  6. I wish people would realize that if you are not eating food because you are scared to eat for fear that what you are eating is going to make you sick, you will lose weight. I went from 172 to 162 in two weeks. I was taking Miralax, eating Rice Chex like twice a day, and drinking water.
  7. The ironic thing is prior to my scopes today, when they survey you before your procedure, it was documented that I indeed have asthma, GERD, eczema, and low thyroid function. But since I am Black, it doesn't matter! My dad at first thought I had an ulcer, gastritis, and now food poisoning. I have had food poisoning and it involved vomiting. I have yet...
  8. Just two. AB Gliadin IGA - 3 (0-19 units) AB Gliadin IGG - 2 (0-19 units)
  9. I went to the ER last year with something similar. Throbbing headaches, nausea, dizziness, and fatigue. That's when I found out I was anemic. My doctor didn't take it any further than that.
  10. Just two ultrasounds. What is the HIDA scan?
  11. Too old? In reading some of the posts here, most people are older! 25 and beyond. Disease has no age or race requirements. Sad that we live in a world where people still think that way.
  12. They did: TSH with Free T4 Reflex Estradiol Progesterone Vitamin B12 25-OH Vitamin D (D2+D3) No test for Hashimotos
  13. I wish he had just said he would do the biopsy instead of throwing that useless fact in. I see that it says: Forceps biopsy times 4 from third part of duodenum. I assume that means he took 4 biopsies? So my B12 was fine, my Vitamin D extremely low, any my thyroid is on the low end of normal. Clean colon, stomach, and esophagus. What is causing the...
  14. I do have a few rashes, but everyone keeps telling me it is just eczema. I haven't had it biopsied. Can the GI really see any damage without doing a biopsy? We may have just caught it early before it got really bad? I have only been getting sick with bad stomach issues since February. The anemia and DH rash started last year. I have eczema looking rashes...
  15. I didn't, but he also said it was more prevalent in Scandinavian people, lol. He was nice though, aside from that.
  16. EGD- Esophagus - no abnormalities seen Stomach - no abnormalities seen Duodenum - no abnormalities seen The GI did take biopsies to rule out celiac and inflammatory bowel disease. Colonoscopy No abnormalities such as ileitis, polyps, tumors, diverticula, or colitis were seen. It will be a week before I get the actual results. Of course, he told...
  17. It is horrible that in order to be tested and checked for something, you have to be subjected to one of your symptoms for hours! My chest is on fire from this colonoscopy prep. The solution make me want to vomit. This is awful.
  18. Older post I found after Googling this Progresso Chicken Broth that I had today that just made me feel terrible. My stomach and arms felt like they were inflamed about 45 minutes after I ate it.
  19. I don't have the actual counts yet, but the nurse called me today and advised that my ultrasounds came back normal. My thyroid is on the "low side of normal". My Vitamin B12 was fine, but my Vitamin D was so low that I do have to go on medication for it. Every woman in my family has low Vitamin D so that did not surprise me.
  20. Last night, I attempted to eat some Green Giant french style green beans, and just couldn't eat them. Possible glutenining? I have to eat gluten right now anyway but I have gas and my belly is rumbling. They did not say gluten free...
  21. I am not sure what type it is. It is something new. And I mostly drink water and green tea. I do drink a lot of Smart Water, and refill the bottles. Maybe 2 liters or so a day.
  22. I drink a ton of water. This is all so weird for me. I sometimes feel like the doctors are not telling me everything.
  23. I think I am in the process of having one pass. Please tell me that kidney stones are not one of the many symptoms of celiac disease.
  24. I know what you mean. If I had known being lactose intolerant and having to go on soy milk as an infant, asthma, being overweight all my life, GERD, a hiatal hernia, and constant sinus infections, would end up being potential celiac disease, I would have looked into it more.
  25. Do any of you suffer from Crohn's disease as well?
